  • You have a great voice and clear explanation. Thanks for sharing this.

  • Wheres the on button!! I'm trying to use my dads and can't seem to turn it on...

  • @spacedout420ify

Scanners don't have an on button these days - they power on as soon as you plug them in and hook them up to the computer. You'll have to find the scanning software on his computer - could be in the Canon folder under the start menu (if it's Windows) or under the import submenu from within Photoshop, if he has Photoshop installed.

  • I used the 4400 with my PC and got decent scans. I now got an imac and I'm scanning the same way, but the slices show up black. What am I doing wrong?

  • Can you actually make them into photo in photoshop??

  • @chrischaos4 Yes you can, you can print them out after you scan them to a file.

  • Holy shit, I was looking for slides on water pipes and I came across this shit. Wow, nerd alert!

  • Only one strip at a time? That's not good. What about 4 X 5? No provisions for that?

This scanner might do a good job in reproducing the negs but lacks provisions for doing many strips at one time or up to 8X10 negs. At the very minium a provision for 4 X 5 should be incorporated.

Might as well use your camera to take pictures of your negs then reverse colors.

I don't like the limited ability of this scanner.
