I found out how to get Defenders (including diesel models that get x2 the fuel economy) available in America!!! Step 1: Register to vote. Step 2: Vote for Ron Paul who would then deregulate the market, thereby getting rid of regulation requirements on airbags. Step 3: Once he deregulated the markets, go on down to your local Land Rover dealership and say, "I'd like to buy a Defender please."

ya.. they are really sweet. when i was going to build a truck, my initial choice was going to be a defender, but the parts are expensive and hard to find here, so i went with a 1967 bronco instead, all fiberglass, ORI's on all 4's, spider axles, b-box 3spd tranfer case, 5spd tranny, built 5.0L with a vortec s-trim, 4 link front, 3 link rear. custom tubular frame, rollcage etc. After 120g's it will do the same thing as this truck. should have stuck to my initial decision and went with a d90;)
