@thebeetalls i have yet to see any gpu do irt & render hd frames as fast & efficiently as cell can.Why because none of them are running on hardware with such a flexibly fast & efficient memory architecture as the xdr dram memory architecture which is only found in cell based hardware & xdimm compatible hardware.
this is not hardware accelerated, only the cpu is used. the same thing can be done far better using a gpu like the 5870. something like 5870 would probably not be used to its fullest with ray tracing(its a very complex design that isn't meant to do "one" thing very fast). so "fermi" would be better. if you took a gtx380 or whatever nvidia will call it, it would be more then 10 times as fast as a ps3. keep in mind the ps4 isn't coming for a few more years, so it will be even faster.

how will they make the ps4 do this with an entire environment if they cant even do it with one car on ps3
