LOL they dont just take monkeys off the street for medical experiments. They are usually a long line of experimental monkeys (its not like planet of the apes "Oh yeah, this one knows the procedure, hes done many medical experiments before". But I agree this monkey does NOT look happy.
@TheTer470 they are not totally harmless .. as they could bites .. its dangerous iff you dun train it to not bite at young age . as you wont be able to teach anymore when it bite you at adult age ^^
This isn't funny at all, and you shouldn't encourage the pet trade of nonhuman primates. If you really cared for monkeys you would do research and realize that captive primates are less healthy and less reproductively successful, which is killing out the species. Instead of buying a monkey you should donate to organizations that save these animals. What you're doing is encouraging other ignorant people (no offense) to buy nonhuman primates, which is immoral and irresponsible.
im sorry idk why but i just cant stand when chicks use baby talk to say what THEY think their pet is saying when its probably not, i just cant stand it
one of those monkeys jumped on my head while i was at tabaylana beach in honduras lol i was so scared at first but then when the capuchin monkey crawled into my hand i was so happy to see him he did not want to leave me I felt bad that i had to say goodbye to him but he climbed up his tree and im sure he's happy :D
Zoey is just like the monkey I have just purchased. I call her monkey and I intend to tease and torment her some years then pass her on for breeding. At the moment she is trying to reach her bottle which I left just out of reach outside her cage.
What would you prefer - The monkeys go to a loving home where they will be assaulted with a dress and a pacifier, or they go to a research lab where they will be kept in a tiny cage and infected with an incurable disease? Dogs and cats didn't start out as domestic animals either.
@lilo200318 Who says monkeys have to go to research labs? That is EXACTLY the mindset that is ruining the lives of these animals. People think they would be better off in captivity, but the longer (more generations) they are in captivity, the more human diseases they develop (like diabetes). It is extremely detrimental to their health. Monkeys should not be put into human homes or research facilities, but in habitats that mimic their natural environment or their protected natural environment.
@SElement91 Have you ever considered WHY people breed monkeys? The same reason people breed dogs; for the cash. They're going to make their money one way or another. I'm just saying I would prefer that they go to a home instead of a research lab, and best case scenario is that they don't have to be corrupted by humans at all. I feel sorry for animals at the zoo! I hate for any animal to have to live in captivity, but it's better than the alternative of animal testing.
@lilo200318 Yes, I consider it every day. People breed monkeys to make money and for their own personal enjoyment. I would rather the monkey live in an environment that is BENEFICIAL to them; human homes are just as immoral as research labs and zoos that do not have proper enclosures and have too much human contact and stress. The fact is that human homes are detrimental to the health of these animals, and if people buy monkeys to "help them" they are extremely misinformed.
@lilo200318 I would also like to add that human homes causes diseases (like diabetes) in monkeys that are incurable and almost nonexistent in the wild. Obviously nobody wants to see these animals go to research labs- but that is not the issue. The argument is not that human homes are better than research labs, but that human homes are immoral. Neither should be legal. It took thousands of years for dogs to become domesticated and by that time the nonhuman primate population will be extinct.
I've heard so many horror stories from owners that it's killed my desire to do a foster-home for the helping hands foundation...and, i do wonder if any of the owners who have posted here on youtube, have any horror stories of their own yet...yeesh. hope not. but, i'd REALLY hope that they'd share them with the public.
@piepeace I agree, who the hell cares about how someone talks. I think its stupid to even comment on her accent when the video is about a freakin monkey.
@uperstore I agree, let the monkey be as monkey as they possibly can. Good for keeping it physically healthy but bad for trying to make it seem like a human baby. If I were a monkey I would just want my freedom and not be forced to prance around in a dress that covers my beautiful natural fur. Otherwise, I'd just rather be dead.

I see that you say you don't like the idea of baby capuchins being "pulled" from their mothers but you bought one so you obviously DO like it!! Capuchin monkeys live on their mothers backs for 2 years in the wild, in the pet trade, they are PULLED literally from their mothers backs to be sold as "Monkids" usually a few days after birth. This is evil and wrong. I am so sad to see this beautiful monkey being forced to live like a human. FYI a monkey in a dress is NOT cute. She is not happy.
Monkeys are not children and should not be dressed in clothes, The only good reason to do this to a monkey is to do amateur psychological experiments on it.

You are violating the monkey's rights by dressing it in clothes. I don't think the capuchin wanted to be dressed up and it deserves more freedom rather then being dressed up, filmed then put on youtube.
If you are a woman under 18 years old and the main reason why you want a monkey is because its cute
Dont
Just fucking dont he need love and a lot of attention just like a real baby exept you gotta keep in mind its an animal and woman with animal instinct are damn rare in general.
this monkey fuckin hates you. Take those fuckin clothes off this monkey right now if your that fuckin stupid to not see that this monkey fuckin hates the clothes and your stupid fuckin guts too.
The most intelligent primate of the New World, and you have it dressed in a pink onesie. This is perhaps the most depressing thing I've ever seen. If you want a baby, adopt a human.
I do have a question though. Is there a benefit to a pet monkey wearing clothes or is it simply more of a style/choice thing? No judgement or anything, in fact I think she looks rather cute. I'm just curious.
FYI.. it is illegal for primates to be brought into the country (I live in the US) so any primates that are sold are NOT hunted down, captured, killed to get the young... they ARE bred at facilities and the young are pulled from the parents. Do I like this idea? Of course not, but this is what breeders do and they are going to do it, why not take one in and love it. If you do not have patience, do not get a monkey as they will tear up your house if you let them as ummmm, I have. But I luv her
@mycapuchinmonkey The illegal pet trade is a huge business. You can't come to the conclusion that if a monkey is being sold in the US it was bred in the US. They are smuggled into the country under horrible conditions. I'm an anthropology major and hate the idea of primates as pets- they should be in their natural habitat, they're not domesticated animals. Don't risk supporting the illegal pet trade.
Sorry, I haven't signed on for awhile. I paid 7500 for Zoey. I paid 8500 for Maggie. She is a white throat capuchin. Someone asked which is better between a tufted and weeper... I have no clue as I've never owned nor seen either of those. They are very dependent. Zoey looks scared in this video because it was her first time wearing clothes and she wanted me to hold her (dependent) and I couldn't get the video and hold her at the same time.
im sorry but people really shouldnt keep monkeys as pets. the more the demand the more the removal from thier natural homes and the more the closer to extinction(in the wild) which can seriously damge the rest of the animals native home and ecosystem. so, if you love tarsiers and other primates do the right thing and boycott monkey trading.
@atworkguy these monkeys where born into our world, though there basic insticts are still intact they would not survive in the wild. when people buy them as pets it gives them a home and a family that will love them. its not like we go out and hunt down wild monkeys and sell them as pets. so please don't try to be a animal activist and not know your what your talking about.
you do realize the only way they get into this country is by people illegally shooting and hunting them down, capturing the babies and selling them to irresponsible adults? By purchasing a monkey you are continuing to support the pet industry trade! At rescue centres they can be rehabilitated back into the wild - at least they won't be tormented in the domestic circle to which they are clearly not accustomed. Get YOUR info right.
@atworkguy so stop buying monkeys as pets.....um so leave them to be without a family that loves them. These aren't straight out of the wild animals, though at heart there wild just like ever other pet is, dog, cat, horse and even cow for you country people out there. my basic response is think of what your say dude, really
Nice video. Zoey is so pretty/cute. To those that don't know. Monkeys are primates and so are Humans. Not all Humans like to wear clothes not all Monkeys dislike wearing clothes. Many other species enjoy being treated like a Human; my Cat loves it and Monkeys are far closer to Humans than Felines.
if you gonna dress and captivate the animal why make the poor thing look like an asshole get some cool sport climbing gloves and a scarf take him into the 21st century
If you find a capuchin for less than 7k, then it's a scam.... do not give anyone money to ship a monkey to you... you will never see that monkey nor your money again. They are extremely dependent and hard to take care of. I do not recommend owning a monkey if you work (I do not work so I can stay home with her).
@mycapuchinmonkey I would like to add to your statement if you don't mind. If you do have the time and resources, because care isn't cheap. Please check into rescue training first, and then get on the foster list for the many many abused and neglected Caps. out there that need help, it is just as rewarding as having your own, and most are open to letting you adopt as long as you continue to foster.
@mycapuchinmonkey Hello, um i have a question? Where did you find this breeder, i am looking for two exotic animals in CT, a pygmy marmoset, and/ or a coati. I have already searched if these are legal in my state, AND found a vet that deals with monkeys. And, in a way, im sort of against shipping animals, do you know of any Exotic Animals Stores?
readiing some of the comments here that expensive eh I live in canada and there is capuchin monkeys for sale 2 of them for 750.00 that includes cost to transfer ownership so its a steal of a deal then do they bite even with training and stuff is it hard to keep them like work wise ?
@TheDrewBug I'm guessing she was Unhappy that the man had took her away from the lady and she said something about it, and tried to jump back to the lady

Monkey's shouldn't wear clothes.. It looks terrible and sad. And they shouldn't live in a house. Monkey are suppost to climb in trees.
kinkyrauwdauw 1 year ago
The most intelligent primate of the New World, and you have it dressed in a pink onesie. This is perhaps the most depressing thing I've ever seen. If you want a baby, adopt a human.
tallchik444 1 year ago

But I luv her
mycapuchinmonkey 1 year ago 13

I could tell where you bought it and how much worth, I'm from Spain, and would go to the outside where

@PrInCeSsPrOsHa Well who could argue with such sound logic! The old "Your not a monkey" line. Well, neither are you.

@atworkguy This monkey looks happy though... Whereas other videos of monkeys.... somewhat creepy
01geTnM 1 year ago
@atworkguy these monkeys where born into our world, though there basic insticts are still intact they would not survive in the wild. when people buy them as pets it gives them a home and a family that will love them. its not like we go out and hunt down wild monkeys and sell them as pets. so please don't try to be a animal activist and not know your what your talking about.
calebofthetower 1 year ago
@calebofthetower
you do realize the only way they get into this country is by people illegally shooting and hunting them down, capturing the babies and selling them to irresponsible adults? By purchasing a monkey you are continuing to support the pet industry trade! At rescue centres they can be rehabilitated back into the wild - at least they won't be tormented in the domestic circle to which they are clearly not accustomed. Get YOUR info right.
squishmich 1 year ago
@atworkguy so stop buying monkeys as pets.....um so leave them to be without a family that loves them. These aren't straight out of the wild animals, though at heart there wild just like ever other pet is, dog, cat, horse and even cow for you country people out there. my basic response is think of what your say dude, really
calebofthetower 1 year ago

I don't know why....I just think it's kinda mean to put animals in clothing. Except for diapers if they need it. Poor little thing looks so upset.

If you find a capuchin for less than 7k, then it's a scam.... do not give anyone money to ship a monkey to you... you will never see that monkey nor your money again. They are extremely dependent and hard to take care of. I do not recommend owning a monkey if you work (I do not work so I can stay home with her).

@mycapuchinmonkey What if you work from home?
JCortexEffect 1 year ago
