oh i agree andys voce was just unique nobody could ever touch that magical voice and his beauty iin his soul !!!!!!!!! i miss you my angel andyxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx seeya in heaven xxxxx
@blondiebabs There has been no one like him. That voice came out of him without forcing it. His voice just flowed so smoothly with so much emotion. On top of all that talent he was simply beautiful.
At the time, musicians could play on instruments, the were able to show their talent a there was always some message behind their music, thei lyrics.... In these days, you don´t have to know music, you don´t need to play on instruments, you JUST need to be sexy, show your bare skin in magazines and you´re famous and world best known "artist." Andy was a very special person, there was a flame in him, charisma, love to life. He was not just lucky to meet the right woman.
@avokavonlady Agreed, It also seems that musical talent has taken a back seat to choreographing dance routines than actually producing a song with substance.
I agree- but I think if Andy and his wife had been able to stay together he would still be with us. They were young, but I read she NEVER had another serious relationship... for her he was it.
como es posible que este genio en la musica no lo hayan cuidado, como es posible que victoria no haya sido un poco delicada al dejarlo ,solo que queria su fama
Soleil Moon Frye still has fond memories of him.... she mentioned something on her Twitter recently how much she loves the Bee Gees and Andy Gibb. She mentioned it in a couple different tweets. She posted a video of she and her children dancing to the Bee Gees. :-)
Does anyone know where I can get piano sheet music for this song? Can't find it ANYWHERE! Anyone with amazing talent for writing the music notes for this song?
i'm sure he is thinking of his daughter Peta in Australia who was six or seven at the time.....i read where he had asked her mother Kim Reeder if Peta could come and visit him just a couple months before he died....she said no....not an easy thing to deal with.
Sounds like it could have been a David Gates - BREAD style song very soul stirring...!
Also this version should most definately be on an Andy Gibb Tribute album, More raw emotion in this version. Just Andy a well tuned piano, and his angelic vocals. A rare and lost talent these days...!!!
Aww! how sweet and touching he is such a sweet heart, and the kids back then were as well, these days the children are getting more and more hardfaced and out of control. Sad, when you look back to those, more innocent times.
Oh man. All of the Gibbs was fantastically talented, what massively wonderful gifts they had which they gave to the rest of us. This brings tears to my eyes. Such awesome talent.
A terribly sad ending to this life story. Anyone who cared about Andy Gibb and his talent should find this performance a touching a fitting tribute to the man.
I consider this a great find. I remember Punky Brewster when I was in grade school. Thanks for this really nice material. I also like Andy's version of I CAN'T HELP IT here better than all the rest
Punky Brewster was something my twin sister Megan Lizzie , and I watched all the time until I was nine . Because she died in a car accident that almost took my life .I had no seriouse or permanent injuries outside . But inside i'll never forget her .
I did live in the 70's and 80's and he was great. I was 12 years old when he put out Shadow Dancing and he was THE Teen Idol. I miss him and Maurice so much.
very beautiful song but only because andy makes the song. he sings it with such feeling and tenderness. yes soleil moon frye was a very blessed little girl, but she probably doesnt even realize it today.
the way andy sings this it does make you feel like crying for him with all the pain he went through.
I hope and pray he is with Our Lord Jesus and has complete joy and peace.
I remember this episode so well & Andy Gibb will be missed forever & I still have the 1978 single of "Shadow Dancing". Gosh, I love the way that Punky listened to Andy's song & she loves that music. Of course she likes Andy's talent.
Thanks, he was a very sweet person; beyond his stage persona. He really was genuinely a good man! I know this from first hand knowledge, as well as from his friends.
I hope Ms Moon Frye realizes that this was lightning in a bottle, a shooting star, a place and time that will never come again. She got the chance I would have killed for, to sit next to my favorite Gibb brother as he sang one of my all time favorite songs. She was a lucky little girl.
My favorite of all the Punky episodes. But how could it not be with Andy performing I Can't help It on the piano. What a wonderful person he was and still is in all his fans eyes. Thank you for posting this one.

I too grew up in this era. What happened to music since then? Labeling Andy Gibb a teen idol is an insult to him. I can't see any of those worthless sacks from N'sync or Back street sit behind a piano and rip out a ballad like this. As always, missing Andy! This is one of my favorite clips of him. I have this whole episode on VCR and he is so beautiful!! I think I watch this almost everyday, especially when I am feeling down. It always gives me a smile. Thank you.
Hi tessabela, I can't belive how drugs ruined such a beautifull soul such as Andy's,Im WITH YOU!So sad..it hurts. He did not look or act like your typical druggie,I just watch his videos in disbelief.Happy Holidays To You Tessabela.

I am crying that is how much I miss Andy!!!!! He was a beautiful person I wish he was still here!!! I know him and Muarice are up in Heaven singing. It still hurts my first crush on a celebrity died. I still love his music and the Bee Gees. TY Lisa

As always, missing Andy! This is one of my favorite clips of him. I have this whole episode on VCR and he is so beautiful!! I think I watch this almost everyday, especially when I am feeling down. It always gives me a smile. Thank you.

This reminds me of the episode of Different Strokes where Sonny Bono (also now dead) sings to Gary Coleman (what you talkin' about Willis) ??

This is so sweet, shame about his life ending the way it did.

Wow, this clip is just perfect. Punky was always really cute, Andy Gibb was a real talent, and it always seems, one by one, only the good die young.

look at this very beautiful person, with the face and the voice of an angel... and think about how all was ruined by drugs. very sad and tragic.

Hi tessabela, I can't belive how drugs ruined such a beautifull soul such as Andy's,Im WITH YOU!So sad..it hurts. He did not look or act like your typical druggie,I just watch his videos in disbelief.Happy Holidays To You Tessabela.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Its a shame that Andy didn't live long enough to see Punky grow her enormous breasts which eventually required reduction surgery.
