At the time, musicians could play on instruments, the were able to show their talent a there was always some message behind their music, thei lyrics.... In these days, you don´t have to know music, you don´t need to play on instruments, you JUST need to be sexy, show your bare skin in magazines and you´re famous and world best known "artist." Andy was a very special person, there was a flame in him, charisma, love to life. He was not just lucky to meet the right woman.

I too grew up in this era. What happened to music since then? Labeling Andy Gibb a teen idol is an insult to him. I can't see any of those worthless sacks from N'sync or Back street sit behind a piano and rip out a ballad like this. Kids today value the vanity, and don't care that many of today's artists prefer to hide in their studio. Andy was the real deal.
