When people make the argument that Rose could become the best point guard in the league THIS is what they're talking about. Rose's athleticism is off the charts. He might not have the court vision and basketball IQ of Chris Paul or Deron Williams (at this point), but he is the best athlete.

If Tyreke switched places with D-Rose I think the Bulls would take a step back.

When people make the argument that Rose could become the best point guard in the league THIS is what they're talking about. Rose's athleticism is off the charts. He might not have the court vision and basketball IQ of Chris Paul or Deron Williams (at this point), but he is the best athlete.

here is the scoop, all 3 players are amazing and coming from a great coach john calipari, right now drose has proven himself the most, tyreke following in footsteps as well as john wall, only time will prove which of the great 3 will have developed more.. but derrick has set the bars high for now

@wiltondeportes Are you serious? So you'd rather take Tyreke over D. Rose? Tyreke's a terrific player, but come on...Tyreke wouldn't win games if he was on this Bulls team and Wall has yet to prove himself on the NBA level. Rose has done what he needs to do, win the ROY and take his team to the playoffs, not to mention scoring 35 points in his first playoff game against one of the league's premier perimeter defenders.

@IMStr8throwed basketball is a team sport despite what others say, and tyreke couldnt do it all himself this year. you stating he wouldn't win games on the bulls is a baseless claim and reciting his point totals for 1 game over a year ago also does nothing. i dont think theres something you could really say that would sway me, unless you had an off the wall stat that made one better or the other worse. they both have similar styles, but tyreke wins with better defense, rebounding, and youth.

Monta Ellis is putting up great numbers, but can't make it to the playoffs even with a ROY candidate averaging 17 plus by his side. Michael Jordan has 6 championships and 6 Finals MVP's, but because Lebron might some day put up better numbers than Michael he's better?? D.Rose put up 36 and 11 in his first playoff game, because he steps up to the challenge.

MO WILLIAMS? please. i am not making the argument that lebron is better, because he hasnt even accomplished 1/10 of what MJ has. on the other hand, wtf has Rose accomplished? you say he 'steps up to the challenge', well he sure stepped up to the challege on that missed free throw in the championship game last year.

i meant the NCAA championship, btw. anyways, my view is that tyreke is better because of a more well rounded game and more potential. i wont argue it anymore because its not like either of us have a whole lot of evidence to back it up. they are both 20-21 years old.

@wiltondeportes I don't even consider Tyreke Evans to be a point guard. He's a 6'6 scoring guard. He'll probably be moved to shooting guard eventually. Tyreke Evans is a great player but D-Rose is better. Tyreke needs to improve his ball handling, jump shot and defense as well. I think D-Rose is a better leader right now for his team than Tyreke. If Tyreke switched places with D-Rose I think the Bulls would take a step back.

@Metropolis4Life hes a basketball player. he averaged somethin like 7 assists in February and March. he knows how to create for others and thats all that matters. also, 2 of tyrekes best attributes are ball handling and defense. whoop de doo on leadership at this point. sure rose probably is, but tyreke is an effin rookie.

@wiltondeportes that's great and D-Rose is a basketball player also. He was only named Eastern Conference Player of the month averaging 25 ppg, 7 assists. The whole Bulls offense is D-Rose creating for others. Tyreke has done a great job and I think he is deserving of rookie of the year. I look forward to seeing his game grow. And it's only Derrick's second season, he's not a 10-year nba vet out there. Give the man a break. lol

first of who the f... is john wall..does he even play in the NBA..if not why would you even say his better than rose...playing in the NBA is way different than street ball or college ball..the NBA has big centers and big power forwards who can play D...anyone can play good in college and in the street but once youre in the spotlight in the NBA, young players choke..D rose hasnt, his team struggles at times but not him

His not the top PG now.. but certainly one of the top 5 pg's in the NBA and its only his 2nd year..his av. more points than any other second year player in the NBA..Which good NBA player wasn't good in college? everyone has gotten hype before getting to the NBA..but like i said once your in the NBA is a different game..way different players..John Wall is just another college player who needs to take it to next level..till then his gonna be another solid college ball player

@SoFuckingChi look they are very similar players. i think you need to take into account though that rose is stuck at pg and guarding pg's while tyreke can play point, sg, sf, and probably a little PF if he had to (he does have a 7 foot wingspan). take into account the players rose has playing with him that will make shots when he passes them the ball. reke has a weaker supporting cast.

@Qnzballer93 just sayin he has better numbers is a cop out. they have basically identical points and assists per game. tyreke has him by 1.5 in rebounds and .8 in steals. lets not forget that tyreke is a year younger with a year less experience and really broke out the last couple months of the season. i recognize that rose did too though. half of the game is defense and tyreke is massively better there. i could argue things like who will be the better scorer/shooter, but no facts either way yet
