Milan is the most fucking annoying faction in the game beside the papal sates, they always declare war on me, and if that dosent happen they fucking take over every thing else, i wanna fucking go back in time with a nuke on my back and stand in the middle of milan take it off go to a far away hill press THE BUTTON and watch the fireworks

Why is milan and Venice selected in the beginning at the same time. How do you do that and what does it do?

Russia is hard 'cos distances are huge. Then again it's hard to beat' em just cos of the distances. Yet i think the toughest faction is egypt.

I did manage to win the campaign with the Moors but they didn;t real have trouble with no crusade

I started playing as Milan and I've found that they have some of the best militia units Italian Spear militia with armor upgrades are as good as armored sergeants while still being free to upkeep in cities not to mention their crossbowman, overall I like playing as Milan.

i always offer the hre alliance map info trade rights and 3000fl for bolonga... real good strategy.

if you take entire north italy gold will be inf anyway.

I don't like milan they are in the middle of the map therefore I get attacked from all sides when I try to expand, and all western European units are nearly the same, Byzantine FTW

@gleke I played a campaign with the Russians and the Turks (and all other states) ... with nearly everyone I've finished the campaign, but with Milan ... I gave each of the masters;)

I hate playing as Milan on very hard because Sicily immediately sends naval forces. It distruptes me from taking Dijon and Florence

alot of the times i let the computer take my battles. i use 2 full armys and just leave like 2 spear militias in each town. im not sure what my difficulty is i havent changed it its my first ever campaign on total war games :L o yeah i forgot to say im with the HRE not england.
