Who said Northwest? It is in the Northeast - "Issan" in Thai language. The people of Chaiyaphum share culture, language and tradition with other people of the Northeast, which is very different from someone from Northern Thailand, or Central Thailand.
Most Thais would consider the area around Bangkok to be "central".

What are the names of the little villages you visited ?
We live in the Netherlands but we originally come from Chaiyaphum, Kaeng Khro and go visit about every 2 years. Never expected to find images from home.
I visit Chaiyaphum (ban sa kai nam) almost every year and love it! The reason I love it so much is because you don't have all tourist like in other locations. You get the real taste of isaan when you stay off the beaten path or visit the small towns! As a matter of fact I'll be there this fall oct/nov for a month and am looking forward to it very much!
Awesome!! Thanks for the images. I was borned there - not too far from Prang Koo (baan Muangkao to be exact). Lots of memory, lots of freinds and family who are still there. Do you have anymore?
Been there :D
