I fell in love with this tune the minute I heard it in the film. The 80's was sooo good! Italian horror films with brilliant soundtracks, video games with fantastic music as well. It all sounded so pure, so innocent and so honest. Unlike today, where everything is a copy of a copy of a copy
The hospital battle with the zombies near the end of the movie is awesome. Gave me nightmares for weeks as a kid. And the iconic end with the dead wandering across Brooklyn bridge is one that has never been bettered.
You can place this alongside Dawn Of The Dead and Night OF The Living Dead and encompass it as part of how the world succumbed to the zombie virus.... A classic.
You know what i'll say it... This is BETTER than Dawn of the Dead, IMO this is Fulci's true masterpiece and he should of done a proper sequel to this...
Fantastic movie... I always look on this movie as the beginning of the Dawn movies... They all make sense if you accept that this is how the end of the world actually begins...
I envy you the215renaissanceman I'm 34 and have been watching horror films simce I was 5. I was about 8 when I saw this and wish I had been old enough to have seen this in the cinema. The best Zombie film ever made!! amazing how Lucio Fulci got away with using real animal blood for some of the effects in the film..lets see them get away with that today LOL Great musical score..thanks JanoSeishu420 for uploading..I have added to my ITunes collection.
I saw this at blockbuster I was very surprised, you don't see this movie well... anywhere I might go back and rent it. I almost bought the 2 disc edition at Borders but I didn't have enough money and even if I had they would of said no cuz I'm 13 and all
I've walked across the brooklyn bridge, and may I tell you - not much space for zombies there lol! I say to all you zombie lovers (like me) you need to walk across the bridge, fantastic experience. Or stagger with arms out, even ;)
Because with all theese zombie movies made on the cheap, they all nick names from other genres ect. to cash in on the name ... so in most european countries, they all have diferent names. Its to confusing to understand, so I've just given up lol
Zombie Flesh-Eaters was known as Zombi 2 in it's native Italy where it was seen as a kind of unofficial sequel to George Romero's Dawn of the Dead which was re-titled Zombi for it's Italian release, hence Zombi 2.Hope that answers your question.
actually Romero's "dawn of the dead" is called "zombie" in Europe and this movie was considered as a non oficial sequel. In france it's named "l'enfer des zombies"
I was 13 when I saw this and it scared the absolute shit out of me and I never,EVER forgot that music.I was too scared to look out of the windows at night for ages.We went to Italy and I was shitting myself going in the water because of the scene with the zombie and the shark.Masterpiece.That one of the most impressive theme music I have heard.I watch it to this day though and it still gives me the creeps but in a good way. What an impact good stuff : )

this film had potential but was fucking shit!! best bit was the end when the zombies were heading along the bridge to the city! now that would of made an awsome zombie film in the city...
Oh right, i guess. i love zombie films, my faverouite being 'Dawn of the dead'. but this was too bad for me too really like. but i loved the eye scene!
This is the original theme. Reminds me so much of inviting all my mates in from the street to watch this, when I was a kid, on a huge VHS VCR. Probably 30 years ago now!
best zombie film ever made, not only does its soundtrack suite it perfectly, the attacks are perfect because unlike romaros zombies OTT method of ripping thier victoms open (which would be difficult for even a living person because muscle is tough stuff) Fulci's zombies grabbed and simply bit into thier victoms, but those bites were so vivid and realistic, tendons and all. The throaght biting and the eyeball scenes actualy made me cringe and gag, and being a fan of zombies, that's saying alot.
Unbelievably atmospheric, the quintessential sound of dread, masterfully composed by fabio frizzi. As a kid, this movie introduced me to the most frightening menace of all filmdom, the worm eyed zombie.
This song is awsome, I just want to say to all you zombie fans out there I wish there were more people like you, and for those digging Lucio fulci you guys have great taste. Its like the elite of people with great taste. its like Mozart in the world of music as Fulci is in the zombiw world
