lol I loved this show growing up...I found it was funny talking about 'the indian' that needed meat..as if he were a wild animal and of course they would portray 'the indian' eating food like a beast fo sorts....ahhh yes still to this day most natives aren't properly portrayed ... lol good show though
As a kid he was a 'good' grownup who helped people and animals when they were in trouble. This seems like a rare trait in man today. The rEast Bay law and emergency staff who recently stood by watching a man die while they did nothing should watch this series and learn what it means to 'serve'.
Amazing series i feel our youth today have been lost morally due to not watching programmes such as this. Its message of sharing the wilderness in harmony can extend to todays community in which we live.
@antowalk it's not just because that they don't watch them anymore, it's because that they don't make any like this anymore, Most of the programs that they have on tv these days are all junk and garbage, that is how the children of today learn. no morality, no ethics, just plain slop tv to gain ratings is all.

I never realized just how silly this was when I was a kid
Grizzly Adams is like the vegan, peaceful Jeremiah Johnson
He doesn't even have to kill his own game, his animal friends do it for him to save him from the moral dilemma of survival

I loved Grizzly Adams like an uncle when I was a kid. He was the guy I wish we had in our family who could teach me to play with skunks and bears.
