@milestogo28 its going to make all the alcohol it can ever make within 14 days. if it hasnt made enough alcohol to kill bacteria and yeast by then its going to just rot. its not rocket science its biology.so the only trick is to start with enough sugar to get to the 14 percent alcohol as quick as it can get their. the sooner the better. at 14 percent alcohol your yeast has murdered itself in its own piss. and thats fine because its been farting co2 the whole time anyway. keep air out
Seen a few vids and so far I like your the best. Every one is making theirs with a bottle of apple,grape etc juice. Just taking a lil of the juice out replace it with sugar and yeast. So far you been the one that adds a SHIT load of sugar.
I started my two the other night which happens to be pear and peach. I used like 5 pounds of sugar between the two. Also did the whole tube going from the big bottle into cup of water. Will let you know how it turns out.
you should try some watermelon wine. or corn beer. hell why not some homemade root beer made the same way but replace preserves with rootbeer extract.
@bigsammieking sorry no video but it turned out great got drunk from a little just make sure you filter it good or let the yeast all settle to the bottom. Then your liquid off the top.
i made some grape wine a couple of weeks ago with the same set up as your new one and i dose work so much beter it only took mine 10 or so days to stop fermenting was some of the best wine i have ever had 2 cups of sugar per 2 quarts and like 2 tea spoons HIGHLY active yeast 3 coffee cups and i went to bed !!lol
Ok, followed the recipe with the exception of fast actvating. Going good on the fermentation. How log should I wait? It's been 7 days this Sunday. Still bubbling pretty good. How do you filter and get the final product? Made the merlot as well. It's in the fridge now for 2 days. Cant wait to try!
If it bubbles WAIT till it stops at least 2 days filter coffe filter rig it up filter freeze it you don't want your old lady or other haveing an allergic reaction to yeast unless i'ts just for you take no chances. T o kill yeast freeze solid re filter.Please let me know

And I tell you what will make a great almost merlow cran grape or grape, about 2or 3 cups sugar to one bottle,the bomb about 3 weeks,and damn.Thanks for your comment.

Hey just saying the airlock you used is great but the condom works too, you just have to unroll it a little more. Also a balloon works fine.
I think I'll try it sometime with real fruit

I just use the yeast found at the grocery store and it made me some good "white lightening" wine in 12 days! A bit thick, but did the job.

I don't know the %'s but I will say this more sugar more drunk. Just experiment with it and get it how you want it. Let me know how it turns out.
