We should look at the source of the belief to see if people are acting in the way they profess. If they are hypocrites, then we can conclude they're not really what they say they are. You don't see the "churchy" style of this video in the Bible, so you don't really have to wonder why it comes off as a sham when the people are acting differently on the outside.

For those slagging Shaggy for being a hypocritical Christian, I think you are missing the point of the song. Google the lyrics. It's not that hard to understand if you have the lyrics. He's clearly not a regular church goer, and he sees hypocrisy in his girlfriends church. He even talks about his own faults in it.

the song is talking about hypocritical people who go to church every Sunday and pretend to be good Christians but they're really not. the so-called Christians he sees in the church are basically the same girls he sees at the club. he's also talking about corruption in the church like in the part where he talks about a deacon who drives a big Benz with the money they collect from the church... so yea the song is about religion, you just don't understand a word he's saying...

You can go to clubs without being lustful towards girls, living the christian life isnt about rules such as 'dont go to clubs' if u feel thats an area of weakness or temtation you would do well to not go, but i think Shaggy is right i have no idea what faith is life but we need people who are on fire for God not just turning up on a sunday, Amen!
