  • he moved his hand back about 5 or 6 inches before he did it!!!!

  • Show business as usual. Break two boards in slow mo.. Then we'll be in pressed.

  • omg, why does everybody think that everybody can be deadly with the one inch punch, there is always different ways, and btw to do this move 100% right, well then you must be bruce lee, or a FU,, master that have trained many years, like 25. or something, my point is you can't say it isntd deadly because it all depends on the pusher" the fighter,

  • thats no 1 inch punch because he moved his body and hand back a little bit there for making it like a 2inch punch lol

  • that was more than 1'' for sure!

  • fuck off u fake....lair....u come here i'll teach u that

  • I used to think the one inch punch was a push until i felt it. The instructor put his fist against my chest and told me to put a hand over his hand to feel if he's pulling back or not. Sure enough, without pulling his hand off my chest, I still felt that impact as if he had started a distance away.

  • if anyone compares bruce lees punch and this one. they would see that this guy actually pulls his hands more back than bruce lee. bruce actually does an "one inch punch

  • **Opens envelope** And the Oscar goes to.......

  • i'd watch this yoke again ?

  • Every one inch punch video that I see online starts off with a guy in stance with his hand more than an inch away from their target's body and then before the "one inch punch" is launched, the fist is drawn back. 1 inch punch is to be delivered from one inch away. Correct me if I'm wrong

  • Bruce lees 1inch punch is weak compared to this !

  • Those who say one inch punch isn't effective, my dad did Bak Mei for 30 years. Bak Mei system actually has it in the second form.

He demonstrates it on me alot and it scares the crap out of me. The stance, you eventually learn to have stronger stability with feet together so you dont fly. But the power through a phone book, you feel the shock and it actually stuns you. And he has done it before where through the book it hurt as much as the average person hitting me.I refused to do it again XD

  • I am a direct certified instructor under Dan Inosanto. I have trained this punch for 30 years. It is not a push, but a snap. If I just do it directly, but light, on someones sternum it always causes intense pain. With a yellow pages over the chest and standing parallel allows the assistant to go back to avoid cracking their ribs. If they had one foot back to brace and had no protection the punch would penetrate internally. I understand it looks hokey so I do not blame the doubtful comments.

  • @plamato100

Yeah when I do it to people they always try and have their leg back to brace it. I always warn them, they can do it that way but they'll absorb everything. When I explain it, and after the first demonstration, they never put a foot back again.

  • @JessMenu if you agree with them, that's fine

  • This is a good demo. I don't always agree with everything he says but you can see this guy has good skills. Respect is due.

  • twist both feet so that from the feet-legs-hips-torso will twist in respect along with the feet thus moving the arms-elbow-forearms and finally guiding the fist to the target, arms-elbow-forearms and fist does not move like you see here, it should be stationary like a spear it is the body that pushes the tip of the spear not the tip of the spear pulling the body, it may sound easy but its hard to do a perfect one.....im still perfecting it with of course my sifus guidance

  • As with Akido, the "fall guy" always makes the master look good. But have that same "fall guy" stand in front of you, feet shoulder width apart, phone book held up to his chest, and I GUARANTEE you could simply push him over, with one hand and virtually no effort. His stance makes him unstable. The "punch", therefore, simply adds a dramatic flair. Everyone is impressed, yet a child could have pushed him over in that stance. Think about it.

  • @seattle0002 its funny, i've never had someone say shit, after they get hit by a one inch punch.......

  • @hgamer You are wrong because my girlfriend went around saying even MORE shit about me after she got hit by my one inch punch...

...actually come to think of it it was my one inch dick she was talking shit about. :(

(don't listen to her - she has a cunny like the Grand Canyon)

  • Comment removed

  • @hgamer this comeback makes no sense... first off if it was a stranger why would they talk to you after you punch them with this terrible useless punch? and if it was someone you know why wouldn't they "say shit" to you? because they were embarrassed by how little power you can generate with it?

  • @seattle0002 I agree with you, there's a loophole. Look at the student standing position. Its perpendicular to the ground. If the punch have its power, the student will naturally fall back due to the shift of Centre of Gravity to coordinate with the 'damage'. But with a leg behind another, he will not fall back. (Just as you mentioned) :)

  • @seattle0002 I agreee... and after being hit the guy with the book takes mini steps to gain his balance back instead of one normal step... i guess we shall call the things (EMAD) = Exagerated Martial Arts Demonstrations

  • @seattle0002 @seattle0002 i totally agree. people look for the magic punch,,not saying it wouldn't hurt in solar, damn it would,i did wing chun myself,,,,but, big but!!!! is it a KO punch? hardly to imagine,,,there is nooooooooooo way in the world that o good right hand punch with pivotal hip turn, with weight behind can b replaced by this rabit push,,,and btw, those aikido demonstrations make me puke

  • @georgewild2000 you guys should be Facebook friends, coz dumb people should stick together

  • @hgamer hooohaaaaaaaaa, someone got offended,,or pissed u off that yr hogofogo would be shoved up yr years pointless imaginary training? id have u for breakfast at midnight, no joke :-), jeez i d love to prove u wrong, just for the sake to c u disappointed with what u believe in //no worries,it happens to all of us in different areas of life, and that hurts//,,,u can type any smart lines,,,wont help yr W chun, good luck with yr hobby

  • @georgewild2000

    Completely agreed, guys.

  • @seattle0002 you need to be on the receiving end... and for you personally brace so you can feel the entire impact

  • @hgamer What seattle0002 & georgewild2000 makes sense, if you disagree why? Don't just insult people and not give a valid argument, thats just troll baiting.

  • @JessMenu He has a point though. The 1 inch punch isn't an "attack" or actual technique to be used in combat. It's a demonstration of how much power the human CAN generate in such a small space. And I've been on the receiving end of some Aikijutsu techniques on me, they are not as bullshit has people think.

  • @seattle0002 Yeah... I know what you're saying, and it's true for these guys and most people you see trying to replicate Bruce Lee's punch, but what you say would not fly if it was Bruce Lee punching you in the chest no matter what your stance was.

  • @seattle0002 you are wise jedi master

  • For the guys that argued that it is not 1 inch...the point is to demonstrate the short range power in general, not literally "one-inch"...

  • @prankovalero it says one inch punch not short range power put on your glasses and take off you blinkers

  • @58dragonmist I know it says that, but it means a different thing. Some can even do a "no-inch power"...

    and yes I'm near sighted.

  • not fussed about the punch but more to do with how the other guys stood. hes standing square on, it would be very easy to push him. while if he stood in a typical boxing stance he wouldn't of been pushed

  • That was pretty cool!

  • That was 1 feet punch . . . LOL firstthe video is a terrible wuality so it's not realy showing the distance . . I'm gussing the distance from the time it took him to land his punch.. he is either really damn slow or distance isn't an inch. 2 second to travel an inch with a punch??? a cock roach could travel that distance faster.I love your one punch!

  • wouldnt that be more like a 3 inch punch because fingertip to knuckle is more than an inch

  • he pulled it a bit far beyond one inch but still very nice for that close range

  • Not a one inch punch, he pulled his arm back before striking

  • @SirIanBoss dude you should be like a referee or an umpire with those eagle eyes of yours

  • @hgamer its actually quite obvious in this vid

  • @hgamer everyone can see that he pulled his arm back before the punch. well not much, but enough to say that wasn't a 1 inch punch. btw is was pretty powerful

  • @hgamer a blind man could see him move his arm back with that punch

  • @shocxxxx dumb ass

  • @hgamer so i'm the dumb ass because your to stupid to see that he clearly moves his arm back? get real bro.

  • @SirIanBoss AGREE.

  • @SirIanBoss not true, if you know how to do it, please teach us, OHH GREAT MASTER!

  • @SirIanBoss tottaly agree with you.

  • The punch was good, but the guy holding the bag was a retard who stood a certain way to make it look more dramatic.

You want to demonstrate legitimacy in your martial art? Don't bring theater into it.

  • i can do one inch kick with same power, does that count?

  • @excop360 as long as this kick doesn't involve your third leg

  • @hgamer oh i can do nine inches with that if you know what i mean

  • I really don't want to sound contentious because you seem to be an experienced and intelligent person (if that is you in these videos)----however I have to disagree respectfully. In training and holding a pad (whether from punches or kicks), I am quite sure you know what I mean when I say "rolling with a blow". I don't have to go into detail...

Anyway, the videos are interesting. Thanks for posting.

  • okay, I'm asking cuz I don't know, not cuz I claim to know it all... but to me it looks like he kind of moves his hips back and leans forward a little bit. isn't that not supposed to happen?

at the same time, I know he's really good and he's definitely generating a lot of power. SO I'm just asking,,

  • I am not hating because I am a wing chun practitioner myself, but for once, I want someone to demonstrate the "1 inch punch" without the receiver standing square on like that and getting hit in the solar plexus. Anyone who has a modicum understanding of balance knows it doesn't take that much power to unbalance someone when you are pushing directly against their center of balance. Yes it's a wing chun punch but I think it's been reduced down to a parlor trick to people to amaze laymen.

  • @KiCreativeStudio so what your saying, is next time, have a random audience member, with no waiver, which this guy was, brace the stance, so he can take the full blunt of the hit..... that's what you want? did iq's just drop around here

  • @hgamer Yeah he would like the guy in the audience to be hit on the face just to see what it does... Anyway, striking in the center of balance is one of the most important principles in wing chun striking. Why would you expect him to do something else? Of course it can be easy to unbalance someone by striking there but that is the goal in wing chun and nobody said it had to be difficult. The important thing is that it works no?

  • @hgamer No. I did not say nor imply anything to that effect. A person on the receiving end IF in a front stance position, and NOT receiving the hit at his CENTER of balance most likely would produce a different outcome, no? An experienced person with a pad would know how to roll with that blow, without injury.

But then again....it would not give the same "Wow, just like Bruce!" entertainment effect, would it?

No need for the insults, man. I like your videos.

  • @KiCreativeStudio there's really no such thing as a person rolling with a blow.....

  • im interested in wing tsun, .. actually surfed around to find a place to practise..

  • that guy seems to have acted a bit saw another guy break a board and that looked more genuine

  • @nashorie how'd you know i picked a random guy and said... hey fall back i'll give you 100 bucks....good eye... good eye

  • @hgamer lol thanks i got Bruce's concept a bit so i know that could not be real

  • @nashorie i was being sarcastic

  • i hav 1 inch power.... in my pants.

  • @RattleheadAnthony dude, if you really think about it, it kinda sounds like your saying you have a 1 inch... doh! lol

  • Stance answer. The person on the receiving end is in a weak squared stance so they can fall backward naturally. I have done this demo on someone in a hard stance and they dropped where they stood in great pain. That was holding a phone book and it still collapsed their lungs.

  • @rockgrids wow.... impressive, really...

  • wing tsun is the best martial art ever

  • That would be cool to see.

  • nice show

  • the guy cannot hold the blocker on a proper stance.....wtf.

  • I would like to see someone post a video of a 1 inch punch demo on someone that is actually in a proper fighting stance, and see if they actually move, and no students doing hollywoods either to make their instructors look good, I've seen vids of Emil Martirossian and others doing demos where the pad goes flying when demoing techniques, and this is stupid as well, something else designed to stroke the ego of the video maker and make them look more powerful. I want to see something real.

  • @sillysausage101 maybe you should volunteer

  • @hgamer To be on the receiving end you mean?

  • @sillysausage101 its proven real xD your late as hell i mean its not a move everyone can do.

  • @ryukenhayabusa Sorry what do you mean by proven real, can you please show me where?

  • @sillysausage101 i cant the great master bruce lee has died./: but if you ever meet him when you die you should ask him. CAUSE HES GOD LIKE

  • @sillysausage101

I think I can cook that up. A one inch or zero inch punch somewhat different to the classic wing chun punch in a more realistic fighting stance and against a heavier opponent. Might just implement the punch in a technique to if you would like.

  • @sillysausage101 well i did have my friend get in a proper stance (ichi monji no kamae from ninjutsu) and he still went flying

  • @crzysnoman is the video on you tube? or was this in your dreams

  • @sillysausage101 it was in real life and not on youtube

its true they dont go flying as far as they would with a bad stance but they still go back a ways

  • I'm not dissing your video in particular, but can someone please tell me why whenever anyone demo's a 1 inch punch, the person on the recieving end is always in the same stance? it is such a weak stance, you could push someone with your little finger and get them to take a couple of steps back if they are in that stance. I've always thought, its something that martial artists do to make it seem more powerful than it is, just trying to fool novices with trickery.

  • Although this isn't a fighting technique, it is used as a tool in training fighters. One can not throw a correct punch or kick without using the body/hip to create the power. The one inch punch can help you develop a great jab for boxing. Think about it before you knock it on the comments.

  • If you can alter your stance so you can get more power from the ground, I can see your power increasing 10 fold. Your on the heels of your feet, get on the balls of your feet. Practice with the energy trapped inside. Watch Bruce Lees demo and pay special attention to how his rear leg flickers just before the punch. You'll get a much better feel of the proper economy of motion

  • @AoDNightmare so tip toeing is more stable.... good lord? as for bruce lee's demo, if i want to do it with muscle i'll copy his ass

  • @hgamer lol i never said tip toeing was stable...I said to get on the balls of your feet. When watching your video, i can clearly see you fall back onto the heels of your feet, and your toes even raise up. This is bad, as your weight is going backwards instead or forwards. Thus you lose power in your punch. And "want to do it with muscle" ? Dude its just proper technique, i was never dissing you, just trying to help you evolve.

  • @hgamer

don´t mind him he doesn´t have any kind of clue about the bodystructure at all ^^ he is probably a skinny high school kid jumping around with knifes in front of mirrorsn :P

but i am interested in your way of wing chun ...

what do you do exactly with your shoulders ?

and what do you do in your wing chun with your spine? are you completely upright with a straight back ?

  • @schulleee shoulder sinks...spine slightly compresses as body sinks as wells

  • yeah but he with draws his hand back & his 1" punch becomes a punch from 6", any1 could put a flat hand on some 1 & push them more than that distance. Stop watching crap like this & watch real full contact fighters.

  • Man that got hit had his feet shoulder width apart just like most fighting stance so the hit was real. I have seen this and i have been hit by it so yes it is real and he doesn't pick his lead foot up so he is using quick movements in the upper body to do the damage.

Sorry haters you are still wrong =)

  • All this garbage is what makes martial arts look stupid. Who cares about a 1" punch, you been watching too many Bruce Lee clips, try your 1" punch on a Thai fighter or MMA guy lol. Any monkey can put there lead leg down with weight in it & even jab harder than that. I bet youve never had a full contact fight in your life, stick to punching 1" punches blees ya !!!

  • @1fitkbox You fail to realize that the one inch punch is NOT A FIGHTING TECHNIQUE

  • @AoDNightmare one of its main uses in a fight is a technique to get in a punch if you blocked certain ways.

Shows your lack of the arts, try sparing full contact first so that you'll experience it for yourself first and then say it isn't a fighting technique.

It is just not a common situation one gets into while fighting though haha.

  • @kingkong8974 lol shows my lack of the arts? I'll have you know i practice the One Inch punch quite diligently. It is a demonstration of how little distance you need to really put power into your punch. The name was coined just because of how it looks.

Also; I do full contact sparing.

Anyways, the 1inch punch should "live" in any technique you deliver. The essence of which starts from the ground, and torques in your hips.

  • although u pulled back a bit there's still a good amount of power behind it, nice job...and to the haters, post something better IF u can. after u finish eating doritios on ur parents couch of course

  • This kid is good, but he'sputting to much out there, waaaaay to soon....

  • "LOOK AT THE POWER!" :D the "customer" is standing flat-footed with his feet next to each other... doesn't take too much power to move him. more of a push, exactly.

  • more of a push not a punch

  • because i've notice that william cheung form are different from yip man style check out chum kiu from yip ching and then look at william cheung

  • In response to OfficialVinVaniLLa I'm from the Chu Shong Tin Lineage ( King of the Sil Nim Tao) The last of the four original closed door students of Yip man alive. .Been training since 1986 and I can say I ain't a little fella, 6ft 4 and 115 kg's.

So what Lineage are you from?

  • @nightcliffajv If you are really as good as you say you are...Why are you letting your ego get bruised by someone on youtube? Does it matter. Does anyone know true kung fu/ ving tsun anymore?

  • not bad.at least its a punch, and not a push like many others do and show.

  • booo hooooooooo dumb ass hey. If your going to do a demo do it properly gives wing chun a bad name. Must be from leung Ting or william cheung lineage.

  • @nightcliffajv hey pussy post ur one inch

  • @hgamer

foreal. obviously nice and powerful. good demonstration. haters will hate. and yea you dont see his one inch punch video haha.

  • @hgamer you mean his penis ?

  • @NESdevastator always

  • @nightcliffajv

from wich linage do u come from lil fella?

  • @nightcliffajv dude dont troll for comments and start naming names like leung ting and william cheung because it makes you look stupid..heres a tip, have a remote clue about what you want to say or what youre talking about and then comment

  • Pulled his hand back. Should be done fron where his fingers are touching the telephone book and excelerating from that point. was more of a 6 inch punch

  • @nightcliffajv dumb ass this is a demo... and you don't even need an inch..... you can have zero distance and be able to do it

  • @hgamer why do u even reply to haters.. let em think what they want instead of lowerin ur rep by replying.. ur the real deal and u know it.. thats all that matters bro.

  • @VixtoryQ i got nothing else to do when your in the toilet... just makes it more entertaining

  • Why is everyone being such a shitcock about this video?

Who cares if it's not EXACTLY one inch, look at the power behind it! It's incredible!

  • @screwcyfer its not their fault.... i've never had anyone bitch after they ate this

  • Whats the big deal? He's just pushing with his fist

  • falso.......... reactuado!!!

  • aa wing chun....such awsom power speed n skill ;3

  • EPIC FAIL

  • @LeonSKennedy333 Epic dork

  • @hgamer that was so fucking gay you deserve to get slapped for that one

  • @LeonSKennedy333 and your gonna post an awesome video of yourself being gayer when?

  • @hgamer you basically just admitted your gay hahaha. fag.

  • @LeonSKennedy333 Thats fine...but that makes u a giant pussy for just yapping your mouth and not showing any of your great skill.....please stand in the corner with the huge list of pussies such as yourself

  • @hgamer Great skills? What skills? your fucking retarded. You should rename this video "The 2 Inch Punch" cause it clearly ain't no one inch. So you go stand in the corner taking a dick in your ass while practicing the one inch punch or in your gay terms "The One Inch Cock Sucking"

  • @LeonSKennedy333 keep yapping u pussies just keep proving my point....yap yap yap.....

  • @hgamer well welcome to Youtube PUSSY when your gonna post a bullshit video like this you are bound to get owned by youtube viewers

  • @LeonSKennedy333 Just want everyone to know what a giant pussy looks like....check out Leon....yap yap yap....yawn......try to be more original pussy

  • @hgamer Yay I get to be an example hahaha. I'm pretty no one on youtube gives a fuck hahaha go back to sucking dick homo

  • @LeonSKennedy333 Im bored of u... Go on and do what u do best by measuring one inch punch by putting your dick next to the monitor, u pussy

  • @hgamer put my dick next to the monitor? you really are a fucking fag.

  • @hgamer Bravo, bravo.

  • Our studies show the NO INCH punch. Its amazing how much power one can distribute if you know how to use your waist in unison to a positioned arm/leg

  • you pull you fist back then punch instead of a leading punch.

  • He didn't pull his hand back to make the punch, he close his hand into a fist which made it look like him, if you look closer it drops a little right before the punch, but the elbow doesn't move back toward the body.

  • i cant imagine this is real

  • defo not one inch bruce uses hip.

  • ive taken wing-chun for 5-6months now. im about to learn the second part of the Chum-Kiu form. its great :D

  • where was this demonstration done, inside a racket ball court?

  • look at the real one, idk why ppl try to do like bruce lee and show to all ppl, but no one can do the same. like your, all are doing somethign bad, look at the real one and try to learn

  • Top blow of a great power, I like this video. other criticisms are many who speak both feed and do not have ...

  • D:! u didnt drop ur full body weight

  • @KhmaiSouljia93 agreed

  • If that was a demonstration, i wanna try the real thing... Good Job

  • Okay the name one inch punch does not really mean exactly one inch. The idea of the "One inch punch" is to deliver force in a punch in the shortest distance possible. So it doesn't really mean only one inch punch it can be 2 or 3 . Don't get mislead by the name.

  • this not 1 inch pnch trying looking at the ORIGINAL 1 inch punch by "BRUCE LEE"

come on guys learn properly, before you show off your skills.!

  • @BULLIER8 the fact that you have human weapon as one of your favorites for wing chun punch example, shows how dumb you areand what lack of knowledge you have on wing chun

  • @hgamer its a punch but nt 1 inch punch. =]

  • @BULLIER8 Bruce Lee did NOT create the one-inch punch. The 1" punch is something that's a part of the Wing Chun punch. In other words, if you want the original 1" punch, it's from Wing Chun. Bruce just broke it down all the way to the level of demonstrating an aspect of the Wing Chun punch.

You should youtube "Gary Lam Fighting Strategy ii", which explains it there.

  • @BULLIER8 ugh stop suckin lee and read up and learn about it urself as with many martial arts there are different styles and there a diffentstyles within wing chun resultin in different one inch punches

  • @BULLIER8 mate that is one inch

  • with that stupid position falls any better than the two in a position to guard

  • Off course he gets knocked backed according to the way he stands in his motherfucking position.

  • lol.. wing chun

  • haha

  • who knows. Maybe your extending your hand for a friendly handshake then BOOM. Use it. Ive done it.

    LOL

  • Daniel Toscano has it right. I stupidly did a 1" punch on a friend of mine (drunk off course). I busted a load of veins in his heart. He was in hospital for weeks. I felt awful

  • :O .......he did'nt have a phone book?

  • After some time of studying, i have found the secret to the one inch punch :)

It really is a powerful and unique technique.

The fist is pulled back atleast an inch or so away. Only the elbow joints are used.

When the punch is going in motion and lands, the arm will keep extending because it isn't fully stretched. It has power, dont know about usefulness.

  • There isnt really a secret the most important thing is putting all your body weight behind that punch + what you said. The real power comes from your core or center of gravity that you are exploding into your opponent
