Well, this dude needs more RAM. He runs GoW within Vista, and he only has 2gigs,.. That's why the display is kinda lagging,vista eats 1gig already.

Yeah that's one thing people don't understand that when it says 2gb recommended it means "2gb free memory recommended" which means if you only have two and vista eats upp 700mb on idle... you will only have 1300mb to spare... so 3gb is recommended if your a gamer... !

so i just asked about the 8400gs the reason i was asking it that im going to be buying a new system and wanted a good card. Here are the specs for the new system

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200

1GB of DDR2 memory Windows Vista Home Premium

so you said that the 8400gs wound'nt do much so how would a 8600gt with an added 1 gig ddr2 and a 512 ddr2 do

I wouldn't go with only 1gb of ram.... I would go with 2gb of ddr2 memory... the AMD64 X2 .... vista home premium 64 bit and a 8600GT 256mb from albatron with ddr3... the 8600GT's from albatron is good priced... sometimes around 60$

I'm sorry. I heard guys with cards just a little better than yours having trouble with the game. Using a 7900GT/8600GT or better are the best cards for now to play on medium or high settings (looks better than X360). There are better vids than this where fraps don't hinder the performance. He needs more RAM perhaps.

Bummer! I was talking U.S. dollars. You're still lucky. Here in the Caribbean a bullshit card, and I do mean a REAL bullshit card, would sell for no less than $700.00. A 8800GTX is $5000.00 here. It hurts when you buy a video card to play a specific game, and when you install the damn thing, the game still doesn't work. I happens here alot. (1 pound is 10 dollars here). That means the 130 pound AGP would be atleast $1400TT.
