  • Love it! I was a lifeguard at Ft. DeRussy in 1978. The pedal steel just takes you back the islands when its played!

  • i love the steel guitar... but not constantly

  • Mr. Costa, I was looking on iTunes for Ohta-san and found a beautiful rendition of Waikiki by him. It is on his Hawaiian Suite album. I strongly recommend you (and anyone else reading this) to check it out.

  • I was stationed at Schofield Barracks from 1980 to 1983. This brings back alot

of good times in the Aloha State. Thanks for posting.

  • @joe1888g thanks...in addition to playing lots of clubs in 'waikiki' i also played most of the service clubs all over the islands including scofield...the 'hi-lites' were a big hit @ scofield in '78 ! aloha nui loa...as jack lord once told me !

  • What is the key to this song?

  • Gee !

  • ha!

  • Beautiful.

  • Love the song and bought it about ten years ago to learn. But dang, the photos move too fast to see, I almost get sea-sick. Please redo the video and don't rush everything. I love "vintage" hawaii stuff like this, But I love to enjoy it rather than have it race by. Thanks!

  • Love the music...the text moves too fast for me to read it all and to see the pics, too. You are one cool cat. Norma

  • Way to go.A beautiful job.I've loved hawaiian music and the steel guitar since I first heard one played on the old Hawaii Calls radio show and my favorite hawaiian singer was and still is Alfred Apaka.
