  • Used to have this on VHS and some free tape with Q. Played both to death. What a find, absolutely lovely.

  • This is nice - Damon getting to sing with one of his idols...he looks very angelic here too :).

  • Thank you for uploading this!!! This is great!!

And you are so generous for share. You are great to. (Sorry for my english)

  • i'm in paradise wen i watch dis

  • This is the only kinks song that I lik, tragic really..

  • You need to find out about more kinks songs, then

  • "I am in paradise"

  • This is what I used to love about Mark Radcliffe fronted 'The White Room'. It was one of those progs for me that I had to be in to watch, we didn't have a damn VCR, so had no choice, and me living up north in the sticks always cursing the lucky buggers in the audience. Excellent music from all genres, and extra special moments like this. I remember Q magazine (or some such) doing a 'White Room' tape that had this on, which I played till it busted.. this took me right back, nice one..!

  • I too listened to that tape a LOT

  • GORGEOUS....bless you for posting.

  • These two get on perfectly well together.

One of my favourites on You Tube. Thank you for uploading this!

  • This is class. You can tell Albarn really loves this song, but then again who doesn't?

  • what year did this air?

  • March 1995

  • I was born in march 1995! LOL!

  • this is bladdy brilliant, albarn and davies both are excellent talented musicians, it's moments like this which make you feel proud to be english!

  • and jealous to not be, like me.

  • RD & DA are both huge talents. Waterloo Sunset is a top drawer classic whether you like it or not. These guys are teaming up to give us a new take and theie intention is what is more admirable than anything else. BTW, i loooove it.

  • yo, that was freaking awsome

  • Wow that was nice. Gotta love the look on Damon's face :)

  • Which year was this?

  • 13 Mar, 1995

  • one of best duets ever!!

  • simply excelent!

  • blur got 2 play with the KINKS,but oasis didnt get 2 play with the BEATLES, :C

  • wh..what?

  • Oasis got to play with The Who

  • The Who without Keith Moon is pointless.

  • Noel played with McCartney in the Smoking Mojo Filters.

  • it's great at the end how people can't contain their excitement and joy and start shouting! great moment

  • I remember when this was on TV! =D It was so awesome. <3 Thank you for uplaoding!

  • simply magnificient. Ray and Damon are two of the guys who make british rock so fantastic.

  • Total class, wow....what more can you say....

  • One of the greatest versions of this tune, no matter what any of you say!

Hats of to Damon for having the B***s to get on stage with a true legend and not mucking it up!

  • I agree with loyaltycoon. Ray's one of Albarn's heroes so fair play to him for singing alongside, that must have been difficult.

Both Blur and Oasis paid due credit to the influence of the Kinks in their songs. Just didn't pay any money...

  • I dedicate "you really got me--I can't sleep at night" to my ear infection...

  • davies, kinks rock, blur rocks, gorillaz rock.

    this song owns.

  • This is a great performance - trust me - beauty is in the eye of the beholder - same sort of thing with music - you need to find your soul!!

  • It means he performs pretty much every song he's ever sung exactly the same so he lacks Albrn's versitility but personally I just think he's a much better singer.

Everybody's entitled to their opinion and I was giving mine, Waterloo sunset is a great song and quite a hard one to ruin but this certainly wasn't up to much.

  • Far from ruined.

  • Noel would probably do it a hell of a lot more justive.

His performances can sometimes seem bland but at least you know what you're getting.

  • At least you know what you're getting with Noel? What the fuck does that even mean? This performance is wonderful, you twit.

  • Getting what a John Lennon rip off?

  • who's in solo guitar??

  • I didn't get the name of the 2nd song; what a shame, I' d like to know...

  • The song is To The Bone (by the Kinks)

  • I love this song so much, it's evenbetter with Damon!

  • I know, right!

  • what happened to Damons hair?

  • he got old

  • whichever man you mean by that comment I seriously disagree. Damon's keeping it shorternot balding okay, and Ray is hardly Old though he just turned 63 last month. he's as fit as a 20 year old and gives great hugs...

  • and Ian Hunter is 68 and still rocking

  • youve hugged him?

  • Who's that sologuitarist

  • Great performance and he's still got great hair! Ray Davies rocks!

  • I fucking love you Brits... God damned best music... you don't have an asshole Pres that I've got... FUCK YOU GB.

  • yeah

  • I miss Damon's hair :(

  • and youth?

  • Yes he's old and grumpy now...well at least he's still good-looking.

  • yeah lol, he was always grumpy though.

  • i don't know if i agree or not, i'n scared to say anything, he's better when he smiles, sometimes.

  • Love damons voice reminds me of my childhood when i hear it.

  • I can't imagine noel or liam performing with ray davies, at least damon albarns credible.

  • that's a good point.

  • Oh please.... I am an Oasis fan, but even I can see without bands like the Beatles and the Kinks there would be no Oasis... What amazes me is not the success Oasis have had but how they've managaed to do it without paying royalties to the bands of the Sixties!

  • ur rite, the beatles and the kinks had a BIG influence over oasis, and 100's of bands at that. THE BEATLES AND THE KINKS 4EVER

  • You talk like a cunt mate........Oasis are Manchester louts that got lucky.....and thats all there is to it....by the way, FUCKING BOLLOCKS to football

  • definitely maybe and mornin glory got lucky, go on name a bad song from them both albums, THATS WHY THEY WERE RATED THE BEST BAND OF THE 90'S.

  • sha la laaaa :o)))

  • I really enjoyed that. Ray sounded great and bloody hell Damon looked pretty!

  • This is a great video.

Why people prefer those boring old Gallagher brothers over Damon Albarn I'll never know.

  • Noel and Liam, Boring!?! They're the coolest, greatest, sexiest men on earth! But anyway, great video!

  • exactly!

  • Dreadful with demon or damon. fucking ray, key up the song like you did in 67.

  • is that dave davies on guitar? ... nah no way

  • It's a guy called Pete Mathieson, who toured with Ray on his 'Storyteller' show.

  • Damon have a beautifull voice...I love his voice...

and, heh, in this video he's look handsome..

  • Damon sound so great..

  • Nice clip.

  • oasis my life

  • Your life sucks.

  • this is such a depressing performance.

  • why?

  • I love this. I'd have never known "Park Life" without this! The actor doing the talk part on the record is the one who sang "You Really Got Me" in the bathtub in Quadrophenia!

  • hahaha damons face when he started playing parklife!

  • Apology for spelling.

    That should read Stockport,

    not Stockpot, as in Tosspot

  • Damon Albarn and Blur have ripped The Kinks off for sure!

Still, they made a better job of it that Oasis on that track last year when they even ripped off the video for 'Deadend Street'

What can you expect from 'City' fans.

And by the way, the Gallaghers aren't from Manchester, they are from Burnage, near Stockpot, Cheshire.

    Tossers.

  • You should know... you can smell your own kind. Laters Tosser

  • City fan or Oasis fan?

    Perhaps a double tosser?

  • I'm a fan of Brittish rock because the US can't get anything right... including our F8#king foreign policies. I can't wait for Bush to get the hell out office!!!

  • i agree completely

  • What? It's a great music video and you are the only one that made this kind of remark. What are you a nut job?

  • burnage is in manchester its near withington not stockport i shud know im from there plus stockport is a part of manchester it used to be cheshire but its not anymore

  • This is incredible but honestly Ray would do it better without Albarn. Nothing against Albarn, but Davies is a prize by himself. I suppose Albarn is there because of his Blur fame...nevertheless, 'tis a beautiful song done very well. Congrats to all involved..

  • I think Albarn definitely helped it.

  • FZ?

  • Great,great,great!

  • God is this good

  • Love the username

  • Thanks, saturdays, I like yours too. Where are you from?

  • Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I just got done reading FZ's the Real FZ Book

  • this is fucking awesome

  • you fucking know it
