the only resean yorkies do that becuase they don't like to be alone becuase there little babies..no yorkie likes to be alone..so when ever you put your yorkie there is becuase he doens't want to be alone. same with the sleeping at least put him with someone like on the floor or your bed

My 16 week old yorkie is afraid to jump off the couch, let alone base jump off an even taller gate. His little leg bones are so thin, I can't believe that didn't seriously injure max.
Mine jumped off my chest when I was laying on the floor (a distince of maybe 10 inches) and he landed sideways and a little funny. He was walking awkwardly for about an hour!
Don't use a gate that has holes that allow them to climb, it's bad for their nails/paws and terrible if they do fall and break something. Sooo soooo sad. I was scared watching this video. I have the gate that has vertical metal bars. I highly suggest it. Sorry if the comment sounds harsh. I simply love my yorkies!

Makes me remember Ansela our golden retriever she would climb a similiar fence except it was 2 meters tall. Just to visit her pups when they were at the kennel, altough she could have just jumped over the gate or wait untill someone opened the gate. She lived to age of 15 ^^
My baby Archie is exactly the same colour but a cavalier king charles. He'd climb from any enclosure and escape! He's been all over our house - once I found him on the kitchen counter - no stools or anything! This has yet to be explained lol we think he climbed up using the handle for the cooker. For gods sake Archie lol :-) Love him so much x

My 16 week old yorkie is afraid to jump off the couch, let alone base jump off an even taller gate. His little leg bones are so thin, I can't believe that didn't seriously injure max.
Mine jumped off my chest when I was laying on the floor (a distince of maybe 10 inches) and he landed sideways and a little funny. He was walking awkwardly for about an hour!

Don't use a gate that has holes that allow them to climb, it's bad for their nails/paws and terrible if they do fall and break something. Sooo soooo sad. I was scared watching this video. I have the gate that has vertical metal bars. I highly suggest it. Sorry if the comment sounds harsh. I simply love my yorkies!

Good one. That's how a 9 week old Yorkie breaks its legs and/or sets him up for hip displacia later in his life. Why wouldn't you just walk over and help him down before he fell??

if you read the description she said We put him in the laundry room so he learns to use the puppy pad when we aren't home. Somehow he kept getting out. So i Set up video to catch him in the act, and couldn't believe what I saw when we watched it. BAD PUPPY, but smart as hell!! so i guess she wasn't home

obviously they didn't set the cam on a tripod. She was there recording him doing it - notice the shaky and moving camera!

@theirishking324 if you read the description, they werent at home when this was taped, they set it up, and werent there, and watched it later on. Sure maybe they need to reconsider the puppy gate, but they werent there witnessing it at the time it occured.

when I saw this video I laughed because my yorkie who is also Max, does the same thing!! he wasn't very old when he learned to climb the gate.

Makes me remember Ansela our golden retriever she would climb a similiar fence except it was 2 meters tall. Just to visit her pups when they were at the kennel, altough she could have just jumped over the gate or wait untill someone opened the gate. She lived to age of 15 ^^

My baby Archie is exactly the same colour but a cavalier king charles. He'd climb from any enclosure and escape! He's been all over our house - once I found him on the kitchen counter - no stools or anything! This has yet to be explained lol we think he climbed up using the handle for the cooker. For gods sake Archie lol :-) Love him so much x
