My sons (then 14 and 12)took me to see them in Berkeley, Ca in '89. I was very impressed. I was 34 then. I'm now 53 and still a big fan. PRIMUS SUCKS!!

Apart from maybe Devo and Big Dumb Face, there aren't many bands who dare to write stuff like Les does. Not only are the lyrics very poetic, there's lot's of over the top imagery and lighthearted jokes and innuendo's all intertwined in the whole of the song...

makes me feel better about the tastes i had when i was 14. I listened to everything from classical to Big Black. And Lyrics werent always the most important thing in a song.

But still, i wrotealot of stupid lyrics when i was a kid. I still have a few notebooks filled with my "band idea and lyrics" from before i ever played music at all. And i thought they were pretty cleverat the time andbetter than alot of bands i listened to. But reading them now they seem like some of the lamest crap ever.
