  • What next Orwell used to support communism? Well religious tombs have always been used to support killings. I guess that’s just what fanatical types do!

  • Interpretation is just another way people bend substance to support their own views to fit their own means ( A=A people). I once thought the readers of Ayn Rand were that slim percentage of people who are intelligent enough to vote, now I see it is just as full of idiots as the normal population. I am in horror that Rand’s great words can be used in such a way.

  • To bad YouTube does not consider misdirecting one of the greatest writers, and political minds of all time’s words to suit there on misguided political beliefs, a reason to repot this video as inappropriate. I am so disappointed that the Ayn Rand Institute shares in this approach. Reminds me of the disputes on constitutional interpretation: there is no interpretation it says what it means it quite plainly just as Ayn Rand does.

  • hi. thanks for proofing that "ARI" foundation is nothing but corporate hijack of somebodys ideas. Enemy of my enemy is my friend? major fuckup. Im sure Ayin would be thrilled to bring america what it was (to teabaggers). all chiristian

  • @IdealVoyage Yep, that is if indivual freedom and Liberty are stupid, which we do know of the liberals who know best for everyone.

  • If you want to see where they are leading us--that is, those who want more government controls--check out the nightmarish future world of Ayn Rand's "Anthem." Makes Orwell's "1984" look ridiculous.

  • Wow, individual rights and freedom. A small strictly limited federal government. What could the tea party be thinking? They must think this is the old constitutional America.

  • @bengoshia First of all, I'm not even going to argue Obama being a capitalist it's such a ludicrous idea.

Second: What we have in the U.S. is not capitalism at all, it's Corporatism. And that is where big business buys off senators & congressmen via campaign contributions and under the table transactions to champion bills that will help that corporation stay ahead of the smaller businesses.

  • @bengoshia This spill came about because of light-weight gvt. regulations. That's how it works. First they put a few small regulations in that hinder progress of smaller guys & let the big ones grow fat & lazy, & then when they screw up as they eventually will in this system, they use it as an excuse to say the gvt needs even more control, but if they'd have stayed out of it in the first place these big guys would either go bankrupt or be taken over by smaller faster, & smarter ones.

  • @bengoshia The fact is, that we haven't seen true capitalism in over 100 years. Every single president in history has expanded upon the power of the presidency since it's inception. James Madison said power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. If the U.S. is ever going to get out of this mess it needs to give the power back to the people the way it supposed to be when the constitution was written.

  • @bengoshia There's only one man in our governmental system ATM that has always voted for the constitution. That same man is the only one has never wavered in his job to uphold the ideals this country was founded on, nor let any contribution or back room deal sway his vote. He's the only man that would give power back to the people and be the first president to decrease the power of the presidency.

That man is Ron Paul and he is a modern day founding father. A Re-founding Father so to speak.

  • @RicoLen1 Yeah but, what about all the Americans who are benefiting from the IRS guns in our backs?

  • @MyITRcom What about them? I'm not sure I understand the reason for the question.

  • @bengoshia Do you even know what a capitalist is? You really are hilarious. Your one other comment is... on a cartoon! Why don't you just head back to the kid vids and stfu. A pure capitalist society means 0 gov't involvement and that the individual provides for himself.

  • @CrOeDdE

    Idiot.

  • @bengoshia LOL. no response necessary.

  • @bengoshia And you trust the regulators? Good greif!

  • @MyITRcom

More than a corporation, have cops, firemen, FDA done a decent job? A government's incentive is to protect us, a corporation's incentive is to make profit.

  • @bengoshia Our governments job is to create the illusion of protecting us, in an effort to justify its own existence and the expansion of its existence. That comes at a greater and greater expense to individual freedom and liberty over time. They are bought and paid for by the very corporations you say we shouldn't trust.

  • Dr. Brook is wonderful as usual. Man I love ARC.

  • Good video Yaron. That's the type of action I was hoping for.

  • I'm sure rational and objective thinking people are aware of the irrational and highly emotional element within our society that are attracted to things like the Tea Party Activity. This element can be just as dangerous as the ideas of the "liberal" intellectuals who are I fear can manipulate this situation to further the collectivist agenda now running rampant though out the culture.

  • We need another Thomas Paine's 'Common Sense'

  • @edwardpf123 'We need another Thomas Paine's 'Common Sense''

There's nothing wrong with the original.

  • @pakratmak -true.

  • @edwardpf123 Read Glenn Beck's 'Common Sense.' That is about as close as you'll get.

Paine's words lead to a revolution and a new government. We don't need a new government we just need to return to our original government. The one that valued the individual above itself. The frame work is still there it is just being occupied by nimrods that think that the individual cannot do anything for themselves.

  • @edwardpf123 Just reread the original, it's still effective and fulfilling.

  • @KajiCarson No doubt, but I think Americans today would not grasp Paine's attacks on King George and monarchy in general. Didn't Rand write a booklet on Americanism? Something dealing with our basic principles.

  • you guys need to post something on the moral defense of BP

  • @stater68 What moral defense? They cut corners and now they must pay for their mistakes.

  • Was it causal tusday when he made this? no suit?

  • outstanding!!

  • Notice how liberal cheese eaters troll Ayn Rand videos? The stench of fear reeks in here.

The Teaparty doesn't exist in the form our media would have you to believe, and the writings of Ayn Rand have played their part in that. She is just one more weapon in our arsenal.

    $

  • I'm fearing that the tea party people are morphing into another version of the "moral majority" movement. If so, they will be the same control freaks that have dominated our government for decades now. I don't know; perhaps they will serve as the useful idiots of the libertarian, free market politicians.

  • @killerbandit The mainsteam is poison.

  • @greenghost2008 - Summarily dismiss the majority of your fellow citizens at your own peril.

  • Good to see that all of Ayn Rand's philosophical work can be chalked up to nothing more than the "intellectual underpinning" of a cheap, political movement run by conservatives. Leonard Peikoff refuses to associate with the Tea Party; why can't the ARI?

  • @8daystillmonday Yeah their all about individual freedom in one breath, and then against Gay Marriage in the next breath. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

  • @MyITRcom

What are you, 15? In a democratic system, we elect officials to vote on issues for us, gay marriage isn't winning because we don't want it to, yes it literally does come down to the tiniest level. If we actually supported the right people, we'd have a much better society, but thanks to people like you, we just can't have nice things. Also gay marriage is a divided issue, in a way its impeding on the church's rights, since its a religious thing, don't be so narrow minded kid.

  • @bengoshia Yes and that is why your more of a dictator then an American. An Islamic Theocracy would be more in alignment with your values. Down to the tiniest level with lines drawn around it of protection of the individual, Liberty and Justice for all. How old are you, 8?

  • @MyITRcom

Hahahahahahahahahahaha, we're done here, you're a joke, go to bed kid.

  • @bengoshia We are not in a democratic system. The U.S. is a republic, we have only one supreme document that sets down our rules for us, & that is the Constitution, & any & every law that violates the smallest bit of that, for example the ban on gay marriage, is not valid & can & should be ignored & WILL be upheld by the U.S. supreme court. The church has no rights over the legal aspects of marriage. Their claim of rights over it is a violation of the separation of church & state.

  • @RicoLen1

Ah yeah, a republic is a branch of a democratic system though right? I was just saving myself some breath really, thanks for the information on marriage though, i want to be in the right, not the wrong.

  • @bengoshia Well to be fair I didn't explain myself very well. We are in a democratic system, but our government is not a democracy, it's a republic. The rules of the republic are inviolate by the democracy. It doesn't turn out that way in practice, sadly, but if you fight any unconstitutional law it should be upheld by the supreme court. That is the first & most important job of the supreme court, to uphold constitutional law over that of those put in place by popular vote.
