  • Dude, 320mA?? With a 20x you can push it to around 420mA with a Groove 2 driver

  • stupid idiot

  • I made one of these at school and used it on the teachers phone and it like snapped in half

  • were did you get that

  • do i realy need a driver curcit? and does the aixiz focous module come with a driver, becuse it has a laser diode in it but its only 5w

  • @matyus111 buy a better (blue laser driver) and get a aixiz module and the laser diode all apart (blue laser/red laser diode)

  • @matyus111 Yes you do need a driver circuit to protect your diode from overloading with too much current and dying. The aixiz modules do come with 5mw diodes and drivers, but you normally would remove them cause they're only 5mw. I suggest getting a blank module from hightechdealz, a Groove 2 driver, and a 20x DVD burner sled from hightechdealz . com

  • Have some questions @FrigginSmift

1.) What laser diode have u used.

2.) Was that like only heatsink body for diode, batteries from same lighter and body from lighter?

3.) Can u make a vid how to make this stf.

  • Do you have any manuals or plans for your stuff?

  • that make a sic tripwire

  • dude... this is SO cool. I want to know how to make it... can you sell them? How long did it take to convert your garrity to the final product? WOW.

  • could you sell me one?

  • you should have used blue ray laser much stronger

  • Lol pointing that shit on ur friends haha they cant even run!

  • this is a fucked up, bad ass video. does it burn your skin?

  • kol

  • kol

  • Aim it at girls butts at parties hahahhaha

  • blu-ray FTW

  • is there any to make the distance range longer ?

  • can you make a vid on how to make this?

  • hi i want ask u this how can i get this laser?

reply me as soon as possible

    thank you

  • cool

  • its not cool, its hot :D

  • This may sound like a silly question, but is it necessary to actually get a mini mag for these projects? Can you not get a 2 AA battery holder and connect that to an aixis laser module with a burning diode? And put the whole thing in a homemade case?

    Any answer would be appreciated,

    Thanks.

  • WOW! that sounds awesome!! thanks.

  • @jamie66jamie

You dont exactly need a flashlight, though a heatsink is recommended. also, dont hook it up directly to the diode, you should use a driver or make youre own. if you use a rkcstr driver however, you'll need to power it with 4AA's, not 2

  • Yes but you need a driver

  • holy shit man ur a genius!!

  • how long do the batterys last

  • i made a 3 aaa batteries, and it's still working afte 7 months. it can light a match instantly. you should try

  • I want a tut for this one too

    You make sweet shit bro

  • Not for kidis!!!

  • @MrRobokoper Yes. Yes it it for kids.

  • WTF...every video on youtube is burning some tape and lighting matches. What's so cool about that?

Film a video showing the beam shining into the sky. That would be worth the time.

  • how to make your laser pointer

  • do you speak french ??

  • Can it burn your skin if you cross the laser beam for a little time?

  • Can it burn from 100 feet away?

  • it depends on the watts

  • Finally after 13 million years of searching, ONE video about red lasers on youtube shot with DECENT camera. Good job on the laser itself. Is it open can diode? 20x, presumably yes...

  • LOL, yes its an open can diode. If you want, check out my latest vid uploaded, its got one of my reds in it, and filmed in HD :D

  • @FrigginSmift do you work in a machine shop or something? There are always saw noises in the background.... that might explain how you get to use a lathe for those nice heatsinks!

  • LOL, the noise was from a building being built just down the street, and the heatsink are washers soldered to the module for the best heat conduction :D

  • Haha-that's a really good idea! I know someone on LPF, maybe a couple people, work in a machine shop so they can do this stuff. I hear that in some communist countries they have facilities where you can use these machines for free :)

  • @FrigginSmift whats an open can diode? i received a diode in the mail for my burning laser project and most of the diodes i see on utube are a circle...but mine is like half an oval ( and a very tiny clear rod that emits the light with 2 prongs that go to the leads...is this an open can?

  • ronaldo

  • hey teach me how to make it

  • just watch kipkay's vid on how to make one, they are everywhere

  • these are cool but make sure not to look into it as ull instantly horribly blind urself

  • what voltage?

  • 3-5V at anywhere from 250-420ma depending on the type of diode.

  • plz post how to make it o and its awsome

  • Please...PLEASE make a tutorial...please

  • SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • and then science cured cancer

  • looool

  • make a video on how to make these.

  • very nice that you can make that, wish i was that smart.. im just buying a 150mw green one..

  • what are you using? and aixis laser moduel along with the laser diode?

  • But can he kill?

  • how do you make these? what do you need to buy?

  • check out kipkay vid to see how to make one similar to this

  • 0:01

  • hey man do you think you could show me how to wire up a driver like that for a 20x diode

  • sweet. But you know that you can push it to 400ma safely.

  • Yeah, ive got one at 430ma and another at 480ma( it will die soon :D) but the only problem is that the drivers would have been to big for the flashlight so i went with a smaller less powerful driver ;)

  • so your saying that this diode is giving out 1.44Watts!!!!

  • No, at 420ma's of current the laser is putting out around 250mW's of light after collimation.
