  • Hi ,

how much did you pay for the operation??

    Thanks Mike

  • @tiofab51

I'm not sure of the total cost. I would visit the palms of pasadena website for more information on that. I do have medical coverage through my job and it paid 80 percent and I paid 20 percent. My family also did a fund raiser in their hometown and raised some money to keep up with the bills while I was going through this whole situation. Thrivent Financial also helped donate some money for the surgery.

  • @bcir

    Thanks Mike.

But i'm French, and I do not think I can benefit for this surgery in France :(

In France, however, we have social security and mutual support 100% for UC and Crohn.

  • @tiofab51

I would say the total cost for 2 years of battling severe ulcerative colitis, then getting the temporary ileostomy surgery-which sucked, then the j-pouch-which nearly killed me, and then finally the life saver BCIR surgery, the total cost would be around $375,000. That's just an estimate because I also factored in the all the hospital stays, medications, and all that other good stuff. So the BCIR surgery itself, I'm not quite sure.

  • @tiofab51

So, yeah, I would give palms of pasadena a call and find out how much it would cost for the BCIR surgery.

  • Thanks for this video a friend just had his colon removed and has a bag and hates it. I am sending him this video to see if this would work for him.

  • @w8lftr

No problem, your friend will appreciate this type of surgery, even though you take a number 2 a different way, living with this surgery compared to the ileostomy bag, the difference is like night and day! Your friend will be able to go back to his normal everyday lifestyle. Take care, take great care.

  • You are NOT a comedian!! But thanks for the BCIR education

  • @bigbadbruce64

Thank you very much, I appreciate you, thank you! Glad to help you out, take care!

  • how to make a 17 min video of something that takes 5 min xD

  • @djpj1111

LOL! Yep, that's right, got to add a little humor into the documentaries! Will be uploading this evening, my first interview with CHONG LOOK A LIKE RAT BEARDED BASTARD BULLY 1 Larry King style and tomorrow will be uploading my next interview with JABBA THE HUT LOOK A LIKE WITH STANK ASS BREATH. You should have some great laughs.

  • @djpj1111

As I'm putting an end to the Rap/Jive videos and focusing more on the hands on approach to the BCIR. A tribute to the ending of the rap/jive videos will include my feelings Larry King style interviewing CHONG LOOK A LIKE RAT BEARDED BASTARD BULLY 1, JABBA THE HUT LOOK A LIKE WITH STANK ASS BREATH BULLY 2, JEEPAS CREEPAS, CRUNK, B, AND TWO SURPRISE GUESTS.

  • @djpj1111

As believe it or not, these are REAL PEOPLE that have tried to bring me down while battling severe ulcerative colitis and recovering from BCIR surgery. A couple weeks from now after letting all these FOOS CATCH WIND OF THEIR OWN BEHAVIOR SITUATIONS, I will be making a video called PARANORMAL DIARRHEA ACTIVITY, which will show how I lived with severe ulcerative colitis.

  • @djpj1111

So there ya go, even though it was fun doing the rap/jive videos and a lot of people enjoyed the humor, I have to move forward and let the rap/jive videos go, so I can focus on more of the hands on BCIR aspect of this documentary. But, then again, if these FOOS act up in any way towards me like they did before, I will do more rap/jive videos and let them CATCH ALL THE WIND THAT THEY NEED. Take care djpj, take great care, Mike.

  • You're a natural on camera, crack me up too! This is the second vid I've watched of yours (saw the Driving Documentary) and I appreciate you doing them and giving people info on the bcir. I had to have emergency surgery almost a year ago now, colon went bye bye and have the ileo right now-but I've been more seriously considering the bcir and your vids are helping me by really getting to see it from someone first hand. Thanks Mike. ps I'm single too ;)

  • @n64gbachick

Thank you very much and that's what motivates me to do this, not only can I practice my camera humor skills, I can help people like you out to make them beilievers in the BCIR, because it will make your life a lot more comfortable.

  • @n64gbachick

Thank you for sharing that your single because I'm single too! I got big muscles and I'm an all around nice guy, sometimes! LOL! I would like to take you out sometime and show you the real me. Take care, take great care, MIke.

  • @n64gbachick

You can hit me up on Facebook (Michael Nelson) and we can set something up, what's nice is since you have an ileo and considering the bcir surgery we both have something that we talk about to break the ice. I've lived with an ileo for about a month and a half and am interested in how you think it's working out for ya. Alrighty, take care, take great care, Mike.

  • hi i had a j pouch for a year now.i cant sleep due to wakeing up at go to the bathroom.all day im mostly good until nite time i cant sleep on my back or my sides because i have to go to the bathroom.its a real pain.andi was wondering when you knew the j pouch has failed you?like what was happening to you? good song to crash test dummies.

  • @benv420

I've got some bad news but honest news for ya benv420, the j-pouch will be torturing you until you decide to make a change for the better. I only had the j-pouch for 6 months and it was the worst experience in my life and I can't imagine what your going through right now. Trust me, if your in pain after a year with the j-pouch, it's time for you to make a change that will change your life.

  • @benv420

This is the hospital's website where you can get the BCIR surgery done. Even though, right now, you have the j-pouch, they can still perform the BCIR surgery on you, trust me, do some research and see what you think about the BCIR surgery, but this surgery is 200% better than the j-pouch and will make life for you, especially at night, enjoyable again.

  • @benv420

Since I can't You Tube the website to ya, just type in Palms Of Pasadena and you'll get their website. This is one of the hospital's that performs the BCIR surgery and is where patients all over the world, including myself have received the surgery. Any more questions, feel free to You Tube me and take care, Mike.

  • Well, you was funny if you know what I mean, especially the smiling at the beginning

And I now know a lot more

  • @flinty13

Well, thank you, I try to add a little FLAVA into the situation, to help people relax, as it is a pretty serious situation, if you think about it for a lot of people that might have to go through what we're going through. So, thank you for the great comments. It been awhile since we've talked, how are you doing flirty13, when will you be getting your reversal and how is your bodybuilding going? Nice to here from ya and take care, Mike.

  • That was hilarious! I'm due for my reversal soon
