I love this. The music from Rocky was so perfect. Everthing just worked on this first film. No wonder it continutes to inspire new generations.

Even these grainy home movies are kind of beautiful in their own right. Maybe because they remind me of viewing my own old home movies and just make me nostalgic in general.

Sly's height makes all his foes look even bigger then they are....especially Dolph in rocky 4 and hulk hogan in rocky 3 (they both looked even bigger then the already extrememly large men they are) however, this only works in rocky characters favour making his wins even more dramatic.

just great, the music is so beautiful, sly should have got the oscar for best actor, i insist that the 1970s cinema was the best, the godfather, the exorcist, jaws, rocky, taxi driver, serpico, and many others simply changed the concept of what a movie is supposed to be, and the sly of the 1970s and early 1980s is really great, he looks serious and not like an action hero.

Sly looks about 5 feet 9 compared to a 6 foot 2 Weathers. I feel sorry for Sly with all the camera work to make him appear taller in the actual film. I'm sure he wore 3 inch boost boots "to boot".
