Many did own slaves and I do not defend that, I do believe states have a right to leave the "union" if they do not want to be part of it.

@purplehorny It comforts me to know that I'm well under your skin. Hey, guess what? I'm going to court tomorrow morning against my neighbors! They're gangbangers--about 15 and 16 years old. I've been invited to the hearing as a victim of their crimes against the neighborhood. I get to add my two cents as to what the punishment will be. First, they will reimburse me $400 in damages, then I'm going to recommend they do a YEAR in juvenile hall! I think it will be an exciting day for me.
