  • very cool knife

  • now thats a BBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDD knife right there 100% built for fighting and toughness love it

  • Great knife Go Fitzen!

  • Indeed skeel XD

  • looks like a good knife, but it seams very heavy and looks like it has alot of unneeded parts.... i like my blades simple like the SRK

  • @MrAsundstrom Yea, john fitzen doesnt care about weight, And he really likes the blade catches on the knife for knife to knife fighting. If i was going to order one of his knives, i would get it without all the extra crap on the sides.

  • @Kylef7735 The so called "extra crap" would give you an insurmountable advantage in a knife fight.

  • @MrTefached Im not skilled enough, and never will be skilled enough, to catch an opponents blade with a small groove in on my knife. And in addition, im never gonna be in a blade on blade, my knife is going to be used for cutting wood, food and enemy throats when they arent looking, so that stuff to me, in unnecessary, i cant use it, so why have it.

  • @Kylef7735 Lol well I like to face my enemy face-to-face and steel-to-steel. The kill is more satisfying that way for me, cause I actually give them a chance to kill me. I also use my knife for survival use.

  • You will run a mile when the shit starts.People always have to cover their weaknesses,as its something said people dont understand they always go over the top and betray themselves.

  • Nice review. I have several buddies who are custom knife makers....nice that you explained the difference between production and custom knives. Interesting knife. Might want to handle one before purchase....wonder if I'll ever see on in a Gun & Knife show ? Decent price for a custom BTW.

  • The grenade pin feature is ingenious and wicked awesome.

  • This is the most manly knife ever.

  • Nice video, great information. Fitzen is a great bladesmith by the looks of things there. super.

  • can you kill a elephant with that

  • keep on shavin john... thats great

  • do you ever intend to ever review khukri sshaped blades, ive heard alot of promising things about it.

  • He should look into s7 steel.

  • Lol, "I wonder if that knife cuts?"

    Love your videos man.

  • what you call a spanish notch looks to me like a blade breaker when the opposing blade slides down the front of the blade it will pass over and go in to (if the enemy is using any force at all to push the blade) the notch and because of it's circular hole shape in the middle and the 2 teeth near the entrance/exit of the enemy blade, you can flex your wrist or twist in any fashion to break the opponents blade through the narrow opening between the 2 teeth.

  • thats an axe!!

  • What is the knife at around 5:50. You said NRA something.

  • This is just another fantasy knife. I mean seriously... its well made but yah... its weight is just rediculous... its bulky as hell... its grind is hardly indicitive of a pure chopper... look at that harsh angled hollow grind it very quickly swings out to the full thickness of the blade (which aint thin people). You put enough weight into a blade and give it a good material to work with.. yah it will chop through anything... but at what cost.

Practical? Hell no lol, fun value for money? Sure.

  • This thing is huge!

How thick is the blade? Must be at least .25 inch

  • @gamerfromcanada Probably more like 5/16inch

  • i needed a fixed blade that i could carry while i was hunting, because the old solejen steel stag my dad gave me was in horrible condition, so i made my own out of an old circular saw blade. its no custom tank, but it is very sharp, very light and it has good shape and belly. i will eventually post pics of it and future projects.

also, if you needed a knife that could skin a deer with ease, what shape would you recommend

  • "Bad guy trees" lol =)

  • Theres a Fitzen "Warthog" on ebay right now, $345.00. identical to the Tank except for the pommel or butt cap.

  • MONSTER BLADE!!!!!!!!

  • I wonder, would they be able to ship these knives to Australia??

  • It reminds me of the "Tom Brown Tracker Knife". Pffft.

  • i just called fitzen and he has a new knife called th predator and it baaaaaaaad i think i may purchase it but check it out nutn i would like ur opinon on it

  • I want to see it man

  • That ain't no big knife, that's a small sword.

I dig it, that looks absolutely awesome. Good knife makers are true artists.

  • Very awesome knife.

I wish the blade was about 9 inches or 10 inches though preferably.

    Nice review.

  • $350 and its made out of spring steel and looks like it was made by a convict with a disc grinder? It may have a rugged macho cool factor about it, but the asking price is just insane...

  • how could i get my hands on that knife?

  • contact fitizen via there channel page or calling them

  • how a knife feels to you is really important, sometimes moreso than practicality. gotta enjoy the little things

  • cool knive!!! (10/5).

btw: where can i buy it?

  • contact fitizen via there channel page or calling them

  • thx^^ but i think that didnt works, because i live in germany:)

  • oh that stinks that it wont work he might do long distant orders if u really want the knife.

  • looks cool but not practical and it's rusty

  • @taprapidly asthetics don't help the function

  • I absolutely love that knife!!!

  • Does the sheath sway back and forth,

er does the weight keep it in one posstion?

ill try to post a stag handle knife simular ontario marien radier.

    have a nice day thanks

  • @TadRapidly How can u find it ugly. It looks so awesome. Like a real world rendition of a fantasy knife.

  • I hate to say it but this knife is a train-wreck as far as aesthetics. Absolutely Butt-Ugly.

  • Since when does that matter in knives?

  • @TadRapidly Not to everybody buddy. ;)

  • It is if you collect show knives, but if ever you used a blade as a combative tool or real world tool then it's perfect.I love this knife & would be happy to strap it to my kit & take it to work.

  • Fitzen make's these out of blanks that are ground and then cold forged? I'd be interrested more about the cold forging process and it's benefits? Compared to a forged custom blade?

  • Sorry I mean Cryo forging?

  • nothing againts Fitzen, but man that this is way too much lol

  • The keyhole looking thingy.

  • Dude, I try to click on your ad links whenever I watch a review, but haircare and cosmetics? They need to do a better job matching ads to the channel.

  • LOL..thank for trying, though. I should be payin more attention to the ads, apparently! -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • I'd get it without the hand guard. What is that indentation on the blade for?

  • According to the maker, it's for trapping the blade of another person's knife if you get into a fight. Personally, I think the likelihood of someone actually pulling off such a maneuver is basically impossible, and it's just there because it "looks cool." To each their own, I guess.

  • I agree opmike343. As those who know Kali/escrima or knife fighting in general - if 2 guys have knives and know how to use them, most likely 2 guys will end up cut bad or dead. Knife fighting isn't sword fighting and if you are fighting someone else that knows how you both are in for trouble period. Not knocking the idea, but man I wouldn't bet my life on parrying and catching a knife with my own. Great review as always Nutn'!

  • Yeah, I too noticed how a certain individual's discussing of a knife-fight was sounding remarkably similar to a Hollywood medieval sword fight, with a long, drawn out, clashing of blades, parrying, and the like. Knives are small, fast, and can be wielded only marginally slower than a person can swing their hand around. I doubt if knives ever make contact for any extended period in such encounters. I still see many of these large "fighting knives" as novelty or utility items.

  • I think in a video, Fitzen made them without the counterweight, but it still had those quillons. I think you can very easily remove them though. What indentation are you talking about?

  • i wanna kill some bad guy trees

  • haha John the Ewok

  • THIS looks like a duracoat project knife, especially considering that it doesn't have any sort of protective finish on it as it stands...

  • I have tried to find contact infromation for Fitzen. I would like to get one of the Tank knives

  • morgan - do a search for "fitzenknives" on youtube. He's got a channel now. Also, he's got a website with a contact link that is listed on Nutn's channel page in the links section. Also, his phone number is listed right on Little Shop of Horrors p.1. Hope that helps -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • thanks I will check for Johns videos on youtube. also were is the little shop of horrors p1 video

  • @morgan19555 salt lake city, Utah

  • What sohanlon10 meant was Johns shop "Razors Edge" is located in SLC, Utah. But Just type up on youtube "Little Shop of Horrors Nutnfancy" and it will pop up. Hopefully you find it, if not tell me.

  • how much would a knife like this cost from John? few hundred?

  • 5:09 he says $350 at the time made. Price subject to change.

  • If you look at one of the recent FitzenKnives videos, they are selling Frankenstein's for $250. Its a different knife than the Tank but similar I think, and at $250 is a very very good price.

  • i adore choppers Gurka

  • I love his knives... My favorite part is actually how he doesnt put a finish on the blade. It looks more evil muahahaha lol!

  • I remember that in the videos "insurgents on the hill" Fitzen had a diferent knife on him, something called Frankenstein or something like that. Now that blade was impressive, could you do a review on that? please, I mean please T.T

  • can he make one in titanium?

  • Titanium and Titanium alloys make poor blade materials.

  • wild knife. but in the "he doest wast y our money" statement, yes he skips many finishing steps. the blade and guard have pitting for example but I feel that 350 or whatever the price was is a bit steep for a big chunk of steel. " spring steel at that" But $175-$225. yeah . thanks nfancy. keep on

  • this knife would be worth it the knife is being made for you basically one of a kind since it is not made on huge assembly line way cool knife.

  • that knife is bad but

  • damn, u put some wear on that raider!

  • I. Want. This. Knife. I am going to save my money, and I'm going to buy this knife when I get older. That's the coolest knife I ever set eyes on, and I know a good knife when I see one. I have to have it.

  • In case anyone is interested, Fitzen makes a different knife like this, the Warthog, so if anyone wants this specific knife, he will have to ask for it (request it since, for instance, the pommel is not a big on the Warthog). This knife is great, and anyone who pays for it will be happy with it. It may not have the length of, say, a Natchez Bowie, but it is very good in ways that the Natchez isn't. No amount of boasting is enough for this knife--highly recommended.

  • this knife will be perfect posing next to a rusty old army jeep.

  • do you sharpen or profile your clip point?

  • If your using it for defensive purposes i would. if your using it as a survival knife no.

  • I wouldnt want anything but that as a survival knife! you could take down a jungle with that monster!

  • Its the whole mobility vs firepower thing if you can pack the damn thing it would be an awesome tool to have in the woods

  • i would just carry it in the holster

  • Love that knife if I can only afford to drop $350 on a fighting knife, im sure it is no doubt worth every penny, it is built indestructible thats for sure. Fitzens the man! Great review.

  • "I wonder if that knife cuts..."

Between that comment, the Lord of the Rings reference and comparing Fitzen to an ewok you made my day.

Amazing knife! Great review; you gotta love customs for the plain amount of uniqueness the give off.

  • i would rather have a fitzen tank then a knife that wont do enythingto intimidate

  • good job nutin' great job fitzen you have both inspired me to aquire a custom bowie. pleeeeeze keep checking in with fitzen's work i love that his bowies are keeping it real with the originals and making them harder workers peace

  • If a dude I wanna mug pulls out a knife of that size, I'd give him my wallet and call the police so they take me into custody so the knife-dude can't get me with that sword.

Seriously, that knife is a small machete. For a defensive knife (if you can fight with a knife!) it'd be way too broad and heave and it is not sharpened on both sides/edges, but if you're not trained in melee combat involving a knife, chopping around with that thing is likely to be an effective self-defense.

  • nice knife...fitzen

  • shutup and let him talk

  • That thing is built like John is himself, solid.

  • @Conan568

yeah and will tear anything apart that meets his bad side

  • Rambo Knife!

  • keep on shaving jonh! hahah

  • What's the knife he brought out at 5:55?

  • its a NRA staggerwalt(I think thats how its spelled)

  • Great vids`!

  • the pin is a COOL IDEA!

  • ive been trying to aquire a fitzen tank for a while and i cant find one

  • lelouchveebritanna, you need to go to Fitzen lol, he makes these knives himself! dunno if your going to look at this again cuz it says ur account is closed, but if you live in britain i doubt you can get these imported from him (an assumption from the "britanna" part of your name)

  • call the knife shop moron , its custom.

  • lelouchveebritanna--->you are mentally retarded right? if not LOL on you stupid

  • Call John Fitzen it's the only place your gonna get one

  • wicked

  • That grenade pin thing was awesome

  • "bad guy trees" lol

  • bad azz

  • Can you legally carry a knife in the US?

  • hell yea

  • lol

We get sent to prison for carrying a knife. Even a small swiss army knife.

  • That sucks in the us as long as you have a permit you can carry around a gun for and with a federal licence you can own a machine gun

  • Dude, that sucks! You guys should get that straightened out, everyone needs a utility knife.

  • It's because of all the knife crime.

  • Nope, the knife crime is because of the bans, not the other way around. Watch Nutnfancy's "Dangerous Things" video. When you deprive upstanding people of the ability to defend themselves against criminals (criminals who will always have the knives and guns), it will make their crimes that much easier.

This is why gun-friendly countries like Switzerland and Israel have much lower crime statistics than most EU countries.

  • I wouldn't class Israel as having a low crime rate. Besides it's the gang culture in the UK that's responsible for it.

  • Believe it or not, Israel has a surprisingly low violent crime rate. About 2 homicides per 100,000. Drug traffic is becoming a problem though, but that's a rising trend worldwide.

  • ..Yeah....?

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, but there are restrictions that vary from state to state and county to county

  • uhh yeah you can, btw where are you from? just wondering

  • UK.

  • A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

well regulated Militia == Citizens prepared to take up arms against a threat.

  • lol thats hillariose i got a knifeat 7 and i caried it around

  • Ive got an image..

...John Fitzen walking into an airport...

  • Funny..when i 1st saw this knife i had LotR in mind too....looks Orcish..

but I HATE nylon cord....gives me goosbumps..

  • it is a very beautiful knife btu I would like to see it at a 15in blade

  • I wish I could afford one! I'd take one in a heartbeat if I could. Keep up the great work guys!!!

  • that pin on the sheath to hold the knife in place was the icing on the cake GODDANG!!!

  • now ,this is what i calla knife,i think even riddick would be proud to own one;)

  • $750.00 with A2 stell?? NP--I'll take a half dozen--LOL.

  • is that an order call me (801) 556-6425 chopper

  • what is the point of having a knife like that?!

  • Its a collectors/outdoorsman's best friend.

  • "that dude's hairy; he's like an Ewok"

    LOL @ nerd joke XD

  • what is the width?

  • i kno its not the point of the vid but i like the scales on the cadet swiss army knife.

  • Now that is an aptly named knife if there ever was one, that sucker is gnarly lookin'. Well done John.

  • Stop repeating everything 10 times over. Make the point and move on. You made a review with 2 minutes of content into a 17 minute review.

  • Fuck I love John Fitzen! In my opinion he's the only custom kniefmaker that can compete with busse combat, or not so much compete as compare really but he makes some sick stuff, plus he's not some religious psycho like the Fehrman family..

Maaaaan does that Tank look hot! You gotta be one lucky dude to know John fitzen nutnfancy, I wish I could get one of those tanks shipped to my doorstep!

Also, imagine an INFI Fitzen Tank !

  • Do they make a matching fork to go with it ?

  • I hope so I would like to cut down a tree with my knife and fork.

  • we can if you want

  • LOL at 6:38. "I can't say that because it cut very well". Don't you mean you can't say that because he'll rip your head off? lol jk, he's a cool guy. Scary, but cool

  • Favorite quotes:

    "Fitzen your knife sucks!"

"By the way that dudes hairy, he's like an Ewok."

    "Keep on shaving John!"

  • There is now way the steel would double the price from 350 to 700 for A2 steel, or any steel for that matter.

  • where did you order/buy the knife? without custom.. and things like that..

  • You cant get it not custom because custom means that some guy (John Fitzen in this case) makes these knives by hand and sells them.

For info on the knives and the guy who makes them see Nutnfancy's Fitzen knife shop visit videos.

  • that would be better with a flat grind.

  • tell fitzen he needs to get a site becuase i dont know how to contact him about sharpening my knives i need 3 or 4 sharpened and since you trust him ile trust him i just need to know how to contact him

  • in another video with fitzen he tells us the phone number just check it out in nutnfancys videos

  • Or look in the description of the video.

  • Sexy knife. I'm definitely more of a custom fighting knife fan than a survival brand name knife. Cool people too that make these knives.

  • Damn. Grenade pins. That creative bastard XD Really rocks the badass value. If i had the money, i'd get it.

  • I'm sorry, but that Grenade pin sheath feature is totally badass.

  • yeh!

  • nice knife! :]

  • Hi "Nutnfancy"!

I like John Fitzen's "Tank-inator" knife very much!!!

    Thank you for posting!

    Sincerely,

    Marc

  • could this be a servivel knife?

  • IMO not very much so. I am sure it could take the abuse you would throw at it in that situation, but at the same time, so would many others that are much cheaper and lighter.

In my mind, this is better for collectors and custom collectors. Mainly more for defense or fighting than for survival. IMO there are better options for a survival knife that would be cheaper and lighter, for 2lbs, you could get 2 or even 3 knives for survival.

  • 2 pounds is as heavy as a lightweight broad sword. Lol.

  • ha

" form the bowls of mordor!"

    nice quote

    rock on nutn

  • Man, that is the best fighting knife i've seen of johns

  • I like how John makes knives that can do work. He does not waste energy making show off knives. His knives are built to take abuse. I dig that!

  • ok, so what dos the guard on that do?

in my opinion that is 100% for aesthetics

its a good chopper but try using that for some smaller tasks... -.-

  • The guard is not a major issue. Overall Fitzen makes knives that can take abuse and won't break.

  • the guard is for catching a blade when fighting.

  • BAD GUY TREES!

  • lol... kill some mutant mountain men!
