Yes, and with the attitude era; you had the worst gimmicks, deplorable writing, and the least amount of actual wrestling, and usually the decent angles were robbed from ECW.

@BELACSAMOHT and I even agree with you here... to be honest, I never really liked WWF (except that 93,94,95 and 01,02)... never been a fan of austin too... I agree that they stole everything from ecw, ecw was fire back then,... raven is probably my favorite wrestler ever... I still prefer wcw (even in its non sense days) over wwf....
what i want to say, the quality of work is questionable, but people generally liked it, so russo definitely isn't one who killed wrestling

What I am saying is, is that Russo turned wrestling into a mockery. Jim Cornette, I believe, has expressed some excellent criticisms of Russo. So, if I may be so obliged, would recommend you to listen to what he(Jim Cornnette) has to say.

@BELACSAMOHT vince's greedyness did, he refused to sign real wcw stars first because he was a cheap sob (austin and angle were team wcw in surv.series instead of likes such as goldberg,steiner...). and then later he signed that wcw former superstars when they were not so popular anymore and showed them in bad light.... not to forget that every main event for the last 6 years was hhh vs cena vs orton vs batista. and sometimes edge or taker

@BELACSAMOHT in 2001... well, they used booker t (who was my favorite wrestler back then), but let's be real, booker become a star when all the main players like goldberg and hogan left, so his star value couldn't be compared to austin's or rock's... goldberg was as much of a star as they were... don't get me wrong, if it was for me, i would push booker t in late 98 to at least us championship,but these are the facts

Ah, I've done a little research, and it appears that Goldberg did not partake in the invasion angle whatsoever, in fact, when WWF bought WCW Goldberg was recuperating from shoulder surgery. As for Steiner, he was employed in WWA . So, in reality, Vince didn't have much choice. I'm sure he would of pushed them if they were there, seeing how he did such with Booker.

Goldberg's injury was serious enough that he had to recuperate from it, and when he was signed under WWF he was a main-event'r. as well as Steiner. So, I don't see where you're coming from.

@BELACSAMOHT you obviously wasn't a wrestling fan back then....instead of singing steiner when he was a credible heyped monster world champ to defend wcw (and draw a lot of money), they signed him in early 2003 to have body building contests and horrible non sense matches with triple h which no one cared about....

@BELACSAMOHT goldberg and steiner were sitting out the old contracts they had with time warner, the owners of wcw. they were getting paid no matter what so why bother with jumping to the wwe when wcw folded when they could chill for another year or 2.

@RespectTheReject yes everyone knows that the guys who are more extreme and put their bodies at risk more than others are definitely paid alot more than other wrestlers. cause that is actually just it, the match im sure everyone would love to see is jeff hardy vs raven to see which one would prevail over the other. the reason i am more behind jeff is cause the guy did do a swanton on umaga from like 30 or 40'' out in the parking lot of the stadium where it happened.
