One question though! I though youtube does not accept MTS file, or am i wornge? I think MTS files have to be converted to mov, avi, or wmv or something? I had a problem with MTS files from my panasonic HD camera before, could not be readed by many video editing programs.
I thought so too. Looks like they must have updated their encoders. Anyway, whatever they did, there is a great program I use called Xilisoft HD to convert files from anything to anything. It even takes the MTS files and converts them to more manageable MP4 AVCHD files via Vegas or Premiere Pro CS4. Obviously, CS4 takes the raw MTS files but AVCHD files require massive computation to get them rendered after doing all your editing. I love this camera!
Hey matrixate, thanks very much for the info. Does this Xilisoft HD convert to the original size (like 1080p to 1080p, or downgrated ti 720p) Had a quick look and looks good. Hope it does not loose the quality after conversion....
Exactly! From 1080p to 1080p. For exapmple, a MTS@24mbps-10GB file can be brought down up to half the size with absolutely no noticeable loss in quality. It can even be brought down to 720p and looks just as amazing as the 1080p, just smaller of course. The nice thing about this is that if you're using Vegas or Premiere (like me), it allows you to manipulate the files so much faster and easier; plus, the file size is so much smaller and the computer isn't overwhelmed with data and computation.
Nice quality. Canon makes good camcorders. I want to get one. Thanks for the video.

Hi,
Did you use any kind of filter, or this is the original lens?

.MTS file uploads fine for me, maybe youtube updated their encoders since you last tried or maybe your panasonic just wasn't compatible.
