  • Ceasar was the greatest man to ever live. only contested by Alexander. he founded the empire that has so greatly influenced our modern society; war, economy, exc... If rome had remained a Republic than it would not have been nearly strong enough. Ceasar was brutal to his foes. but they were just as brutal. If he had not been assassinated he could have easily been the greatest man to ever live.

  • He knew he was dead anyway. What I don't get is why Vorenus didn't think he might be lying to him given the scumbag that he was.

  • God i miss Rome. What a an awsome!!! show

  • Beheading is too good for him! He should have been impaled (in crucem figere) for what he did to those kids.

  • What's that music called at the end of the scene?

  • @coolasacoldsummer Fuck me mate talk about holding a grudge!

  • Really street thugs aganist veterans ..battle hardenn pissed off vets

  • WOW... that would be the worst thing to hear......

  • shit I wouldnt give that guy a quick death Id fucking stab him 50 times before finishing him off

  • I honestly thought that he said "I killed them, then I fucked them." instead of the other way around the first time I saw this 3 years ago.

  • I would have done the same.

  • Rome for fucking romans! Amen! A MOTO FOR EVERY NATION!

  • the comander and the best man of the 13th

  • Man! To be an elite souldier in those days you had to have more than a screw loose!

  • @CBoavida,

    IN THOSE DAYS?

  • @JSB103 Specialy. Close quarters combat is very diferent from shooting someone at a distance. But yeah you have a point.

  • They really should have spent a few minutes in the first episode to explain Sulla a little better. They did mention him continuously, and pushed in plenty of history, but should have really explained the whole ordeal that brought Sulla to dictatorship. This event literally intertwines Caesar's rise to power with the precedent needed to perform something like this. But again...BEST series I have ever seen. Only X-Files & Mad Men (so far) (& that I know) can get remotely close to trumping this

  • @danielharmonizer yeah i agree. without sulla there would be no ceasar. btw, the wire is the greatest tv show ever made but this is a close second.

  • excelente

  • I've seen the first season time to order this one :)

  • Varenus is a fucking badass.

  • I love it when he runs away looking for his boys an there all fuckin DEAD!!! Quality series. Kevin Mckidd an Ray Stephenson, two of the best actors goin!!!

  • why didnt they make more than 2 seasons!!! what a scandal, i was addicted to this, im still having with drawral symptons lol i havent watched spartacus yet, i hope its as good as this!!

  • This was on par with The Sopranos. In many ways Rome is better. While it did end nicely I REALLY wanted more. A lot more.

With all the junk on HBO you would think they would do anything to make this series last to add to their dying legacy.

  • @taichibailongball i totally agree, this and the soporanos are my 2 favourite tv series!! it had everything, sex, violence, amazing storylines!!! please bring it back. HBO!1!

  • @taichibailongball Yeah i agree. And it was actually historically accurate, most of it at least. I knew what was going to happen in every episode, historically wise. I want more!

  • those 2 were so fucking bad ass lol

  • back when men were men :)

  • That guy who just had the chop deserved that!!!!!!

  • its too bad this series ended i LOVED it

  • rome is better than spartacus I think romestreamsonline-dot-info

  • How long can you remain sane in a world like that? :(

  • @LuigiSozzi how long can u remain sane in a world like this ?

  • @LuigiSozzi dude in that world, there were no pussies, only men, men who can withstand the unbeleivable pain, men that can carry as many stuff as a pack mule, i personally wished i lived in those times, dont know about the rest of u

  • @militarygrunt589 sure, you know personally how it was in those days.. XD

  • @LuigiSozzi ha ha ha very funny

  • @militarygrunt589 Hell no. Constant wars, famines, epidemics, and lots of those tough Roman soldiers died in their tens of thousands even at the peak of Rome's power. You were lucky if half your children lived. Or if your wife survived childbirth. Other than that, great!

  • @squamish4244 look back than and look now, u dont see men now who honor wat they do, u dont see a child carrying his bag to school and then whine about how heavy the bag is, sure, they lived deadly lives back then and i agree, but if u were a soldier u shouldnt get married until u retired from the Roman Army

  • Did he say f**king useless?

  • Yup

  • LOL! hahahahahahahah that is hilairous.

What a sad state of mind you must live in. How do you get up in the morning?

  • HAHAHA 1:34 "Flavio's not coming"

    Love that line!

  • this was one of my favorite scenes of the whole series. wow, i really thought they were dead too. it makes it less effective when you find out they aren't dead, but at the time...powerful scene.

  • Is there any Season 3 coming for this?? Rome is great! Please let me know.

  • The series ended. HBO couldn't afford to keep it going.

  • Wiki says they couldnt extend it past 2 because of its budget. Apparently a movie is being made though?

  • If they're not harmed, you may yet live...

    Yeah Right...."thunk"

  • wow, that is heart wrenching....I need to see the second season.

  • I LOVE ROME!!!!!!!

  • Those curse words are English in origin.

  • I'm sure the Romans had their own substitutes

  • Love this show!

Ray Stevenson AKA Frank Castle FTW

  • ROME for FUCKING ROMANS!

  • Hey i only seen season 1 what waas awsome but WHAT THE HELL happened to the city of rome ???

  • shit happened

  • Thats supposed to be one of the slum areas of Rome.

  • Can enybody tell me where I can download episodes of rome? PLEASE

  • tv torrents site

  • Flavio won't come...GREAT

  • they didnt die vorenus gets them back they were sold into slavery but i still think that arsehole mevius or whatever got what was comin to him.

  • thing to remember is, why he would say that knowing he was going to kill him?

  • to be a stubborn arsehole but i think he was arrogant enough to assume vorenous wouldnt him at least not at that moment, he was wrong haha.

  • lol, I mean how wrong can you be? I was thinking in the grand traditionof vendettas, he was going to ocause more misery to V by making him kill him part of his wholly evil plan.

  • thats what i said, but under fear of death he wouldnt have done it so he did it not expecting it. unless hes really really good and only did it to give vorenus the determination that would lead him to find his kids.

  • but hes dead so it dont matter. :)

  • He said that to prevent a worse death, folks. He was going to die, the only question was how. Given his druthers, Vorenus would have killed him slowly. By making Vorenus even madder, he hoped to get provoke him into a sudden outburst; which is what happened.

  • Rome kicks ass.

  • Dont

    Mess

    with

    the

    XIII

  • Certainly not those two. But all in all, the tenth were the real elites.

  • just bought the box set £26 hope its good

  • "Will you have a little wine with me ?no then kiss my ass

  • "Flavio's not coming." Funny!

  • tha\ts the best line ever.

  • @elnino103083

that should be the tytle of the scene! lol

  • Lucius is fucking scary when hes mad.

  • Lucius is fucking scary when hes mad.

  • That's what makes his telling Mark Anthony that he suffers from the same disease as he does is a great scene, they are both passionate men, whose passions lead to their demise...

  • well said

  • I don't quite understand. Antony is a passionate man but Vornenus is a stoic not a hapless passionate person. I see him as a lot of things but not passionate.

  • Did you not watch the series? Vorenus may have been calm and rational generally but his character was punctuated several times by spikes of sudden, boiling rage and violence. If those moments didn't involve "passion" then I don't know what does.

  • Well of course he's a stoic. He may have had a terrifying temper, and it lead him to the wrong places. But for the most part he ignored his own wants and needs, to follow what he considered duty. He rarely let his feelings get in the way of what he considered what was right compared to the moments he lost his cool and went crazy. Antony even called him a stoic once in the series.

  • @lizardtown ITALIANS ARE ALL PASSIONATE MEN. G.FRONZI

  • does anyone know where i can find season one on youtube?

  • i cant wait to see this season....i just finished the first..

  • Intense. You don't screw with that pair.

  • @davepangburn You don't screw with people's kids!!!!!
