Afghani's grow up in a completely diffrent world from us. In the West we get properly educted from the age of 7. We have excellent schools, universities, libraries, and many millions are spent on education. Most Afghani's are lucky if they can even get a basic education. We can't just expect them to become smart and become good soldiers all of a sudden, it takes time and its hard for these undisciplined, uneducated afghani's to go through intense US military training. Give em a break

why the fuck are we teaching these how to fight? not very tactical is it...i mean if we leave and decide to invade them again, im sure its going to be alot fucking harder when they can shoot straight; have tactical awareness and arnt high. 85% of the ANA or ANP work with the taliban one way or the other. even though they are going on missions with US or British forces they are giving away vital info. i say fuck them all, they arnt work saving. soon as they can fight, they will turn on us!

I think they'll be able to pull it off.  Most people in the Middle East realize that the extremist Muslims are the source of most of their problems and want to get rid of those savages probably more than the US does. Us having troops over there isn't anything unusual, many Middle East nations send soldiers over here to train them too in joint operations. I don't get why everyone thinks this is unusual. I dont think it will succeed to get out of that war with the job done. Shortly after the western troops have left the country, it will start all over again, just like it was before the troops came. Remember just one person out of ten can read and write so they are very easy to manipulate. In fact illiteracy is the real reason why there is a conflict at all. The western world should do very big efforts to learn them to read and write cause when all can do that, the problem is solved.

A stable, Al Qaeda free Afghanistan and pacified Taliban is very desirable, and could be vital for Afghani women. However, a stable Pakistan is absolutely essential. If we leave Afghanistan now, there is almost no hope of stabilizing Pakistan.

There's not much positive to say about Taliban, but they couldn't possibly be less intimidating than these clowns. I've served with and commanded a very unprofessional ragtag team of misfits but even we had more expertise than these Afghan heroes.
