New Matterhorn Bobsleds! Disneyland 2009

I think they look great! My friends went to Disneyland yesterday and he said it was hard to fit into the old bobsleds (that they're currently still using) when he went on because he is 6 feet tall. So I really hope the new bobsleds will be much more roomy. :)

3 full adults in each so it will seat 6 adults total. just like the cars at Space Mountain at WDW.

i hope that if they change it that they'll at least keep the lap sitting b-cuz i love lap sitting and also little kids might be to scared to ride alone and not with an adult!

does anyone know why they closed snow whites scary adventures until the end of the year. is it gone forever i hope not i was there on june 12-17 and the ride was closed on the 15th i asked a cast member and he said that its closed until the end of the year, there are black tarps covering the windows so u cant look inside are they taking it down.

oddly enough the witch that peeks through the windows still works! someone tell me soon!

It's not closed till the end of the year, it will be reopening July 4th I believe. They have added some safety features including precautions to stop idiots from taking the apple. i.e. you reach for the apple and the ride stops and you get a one way ticket out of the park.

i rode the mb on june 12 and 14 no new bobsleds :( and im dissapointed about the fantasmic dragon i was so excited and .... no dragon! i asked a CM and he siad she broke her neck in rehearlsals it will be ready by mid july

Will they be installed in time for Matterhorn's 50th on June 14th? Also the park should do some sort of tribute celebrating the Matterhorn, Monorail, and Submarine Voyage ( hyperthetically, if the ride did not shut down for 8 years), 50th! Especially Matterhorn's 50th for coaster enthusiests.

I dont think that the bobsleds will be ready by the 14th, but they will be ready soon!

@DisneylandUpdates9 yeah real soon...(one year later...NOTHING!) They aren't just going to start using the cars, they need to change the gates at the boarding area first to match the cars, and thats going to take a little longer...who knows when they'll actually do it
