i need help! i have reaper and cake walk. with both i can not hear a playback unless i un-plug my guitar. so i can record something but for the next track i cant hear what i played. mt computer makes no sound as long as my guitar is plugged in
Reaper is not "free" but free to try unlimited with all effects and such...use it, do the right thing, at $40 it's a 'steal' while still being 'legit'...how dope is that! Get wid da program, license Reaper 4real ;-)...

reaper really beats the shit out of all DAW's in the market!!! It can do things that cubase and sonar for instance wouldn't even imagine of doing... It's advantages over the competition are just to many! from parameter modulation, to recording audio and midi all in one channel to the simplicity of doing everything that others programms do in double time... Not to mention it's constant updates almost everyday... in 6 months or so Reaper will be able to do what all DAWs combined cant. FOR FREE!

abelton good but the sounds have to much i mean to much highs on them. reaper do more overall i broke it down with a chart

I track em from MPC and Proteus sound module and use Reaper sound effects to juice em up if need be
