Those G.A.F. camera film commercials were actually the first that I ever heard of Henry Fonda (of all places). I remember how he used to say "This is Henry Fonda here for G.A.F.!", or something to that extent. I liked the way he pronounced the "A" in G.A.F. as if he were pronouncing an "E". I thought he talked funny! Little did I know, at such a young age, what a great actor he was!
All this does it remind me of him playing Admiral Nimitz in "Midway" but that was in 1976. Still though doesn't vinyl clean well? :))) LOL. We still just as lame commercials today. Its pitiful. But how else can you sell flooring?
Remember the episode of 'The Brady Bunch' where they were making a commercial for laundry soap, and cousin Myrna was helping them on how to act? That I do believe is Myrna Carter..not sure of her name, but the voice is a dead giveaway!
@Sugarbehr1967: Her character pronounced the name "Meerna" and gave acting lessons to the Bradys. Mrs. Brady and the kids had been discovered in a supermarket parking lot by Paul Winchell, who played an over-the-top commercial filmmaker in fringe jacket and headband. Myrna's acting lessons gave Winchell's character fits.
This is the most random commercial! I know they defy logic, but if Henry Fonda suddenly walked into your kitchen would you be all "the pattern of my vinyl floor is called 'Palais'?"
She sounds so British here...

You nailed it. Her name is Bonnie Boland, confirmed with a screencap, found on aveleyman dot com.

Good eye. Wouldn't have spotted her.

For a brief second, I thought it was Mr. Rogers.

Who's that woman in the commmercial? She sure has a shaky voice, like she's nervous about something.
chabba77 5 years ago
I think that was the intent of the ad. She's nervous because Henry Fonda just walked into her kitchen. And he's going to hit her.

Yes, but why is Henry Fonda just walking in on people's kitchens without a formal invite!
visor109 5 years ago
Because he's Henry Fonda.
YouDummy 5 years ago
If that's the case, he should have scanned the floor first with a GAF Talking Viewmaster!

Maybe Jane Fonda?

It looks like a set from the Carol Burnett Show! :-)

Perhaps this is where I remember GAF from. :-)
