Thanks for contacting us regarding 'Shooting Stars.' We understand you're unhappy the series has been decommissioned. 'Shooting Stars' has been a great addition to the BBC Two schedule, however, we regularly have to make difficult decisions with regard to which shows to commission and unfortunately sometimes they will prove to be unpopular with sections of the audience.
In future there will be less space on BBC Two for comedy/entertainment panel shows so sadly 'Shooting Stars' won't be returning. We'd like to thank Vic and Bob for everything they've brought to the channel over the years. Thanks once again for contacting us.
i would like to know who the 10 people are who disliked this video, because i would like to ask if any off them could come up with one good reason why they did not like the video.
Why is anyone comparing Vic and Bob to Michael Mcintyre?
Firstly, Vic and Bob have refined their act for decades before they came to television.
They truly were pioneers of the 80s alternative comedy movement, they attracted attention from some of the biggest names in British comedy, Charlie Higson, and Paul Whitehouse to name 2. That performed together.
On the other hand, not to dis Mcintyre, but his act is vvvvery thinnly spread, with weak. And predictable observations, like Lee Evans.
I feel so sorry for American actors and celebrities without a sense of humour, whose agents have blatantly booked them on here to raise their profile, who have NO idea about Reeves and Mortimer's comedy and what's about to hit them. Actually, I don't feel sorry at all, I feel like pissing myself laughing.
@janderson1234 No, I'm American, and if you don't bother to watch at least one show before going on it, you deserve what you get. Maybe years ago, but as is evident, there is Youtube now, you have no excuse.

Every generation thinks that the comedy they grew up with was the best. The truth is that there were good & bad in the 70s, 80s, 90s & 00s. For instance, I loved 'Rich Hall's Fishing Show' on BBC4 now on Dave. I think it was initially broadcast in 2004.
im a comedy snob... and this is completely my favourite show. i agree with everyone else, comedy in the 90's was so much better than todays crap. although, there are a few good shows that have crept through, like the i.t crowd... not as good as father ted, but its linehan, and thats got to count for something?
am glad shooting stars is back on, the 2009 series was hit and miss but this new series is back to that old magic and is again the funniest thing on tv.
Gotta say honestly i LOVE shooting stars but this was the worst series ever! Jus repetetive jokes every episode and jus not all that funny, seemed to run outta ideas but im so happy its back now and better than EVER! Angelos is wellll funny!

The dance is called Skanking, it was a dance craze during the early eighties when Ska was big (Madness and The Specials being two well known Ska bands). It's no different from any other dance craze that comes about, like Moshing, Headbanging or 1950'S rock and roll jives and stuff.

Although I have found the newest series sort of unfunny so far, the latest episode with Lee Mack and that woman from 'How Clean is Your Home?' was pretty funny. The next episode looks promising also.
it's not the same as it used to be - prolly cause they're all gettin older and less physical. but it's still better than 99% of the crap the BBC usually tries to feed us. Bob should go on strictly come dancing with nothing more than this dance xD

The dance is called Skanking, it was a dance craze during the early eighties when Ska was big (Madness and The Specials being two well known Ska bands). It's no different from any other dance craze that comes about, like Moshing, Headbanging or 1950'S rock and roll jives and stuff.
Anyway back to the video, it's fucking hilarious!!!

Although I have found the newest series sort of unfunny so far, the latest episode with Lee Mack and that woman from 'How Clean is Your Home?' was pretty funny. The next episode looks promising also.

i don't watch it,but that doesn't preclude me from hating it,i wasn't around for ww2,i still hate the nazis,these dancing shows have a knock on effect on the kind of shows we get on tv,so every moron who watches them helps put a nail in the coffin of great original tv like shooting stars was,as fo my hate,yes i'm full of it,for you can not have light without darkness.peace out...
