The PW50 is a 2 stroke. 49cc air-cooled 2-stroke; reed-valve inducted. At anyrate, it's nice to see the kids having fun, and both are great little riders.

@hanskaltwasser, I know what you're feeling. I remember when I got my 5 yo a honda 70 in 96. I felt the same way. We had a plesent surprise in 2000, and I had the same feeling when I got him his first 70. Both are somewhat fearless, and sitting on the sidelines watching them sometimes can scare you. I know how my parents felt now.....lol. Wait until they want the bigger bikes and start riding. It was exciting for all of us though. He will be so stoked when he rides it. Have fun. :)

A yamaha PW 50 is a 2 STROKE. Straight gas in the gas tank and straight oil in the oil tank... its oil injected. Funny how many "techs" there are in the world that think they know everything.
