Sorry I do not speak your language very well. I've also built this model. I installed a Saito 100 with propeller 14 / 4. can you give me more information of your model? Thanks Max
what's the trick to get the four stroke to idle reliably? I have an OS 91 on an Extra and I'm scared to death of a dead stick. I dont' trust the idle. Do you have any advice? I'm thinking of going with a longer glow plug.
another thing I recently learned--you have to retune after you put the cowl on. I guess I need to drill a hole underneath and above. I wish I didn't have to become Mr. Wizard to fly these planes.
yeah...I had to do a bit or re-tuning once I put the cowl on also....so while I was at it, I added a Perry pump. =) ...then tuned some more....and some more.... and now it runs perfect, idles great, and picked up over 300 rpm on the top end thanks to the pump... my 91S will turn over 10K rpm with any prop I put on.
oh...and I also use the back-flip trick to start mine...learned that after the chickin stick broke a $12 Zinger prop when the motor backfired while trying to flip the prop the "normal" direction.
Do you know what fuel was being run in the bipe?? mine doesn't smoke that much at idle or at wide open...only on midrange, due to the pump.
dangerous start up...
surprised you havent cut up your hand doing that.../
that APC prop is a RAZOR BLADE!

I tried the propeller 15 / 6 and I had really good positive change ....

14*4 is too small for a Saito 100. I fly a 14*4 on my Saito .82

I have now changed the engine, I installed on my biplane Saito 125 with a 15x4 prop I have to say that goes very well in 3D.

Great looking plane! BTW what was that maneuver with your hand on the spinner right after startup for?

It looks like he started it backwards, then stopped it and it fired forward. My Saito 125 likes to run backwards, I guess that's the trick !

run a FOX miracle plug... I got my saito 91 to idle great with one....and 20% nitro ....it hated the "4-stroke" fuel that had a ton of castor in it.

thank you so much. i'll do that
