if we are going to be totally honest there is no browser that complies with all standards 100%, Opera comes closest as they were the big pushers of that movement. As a web developer I just wish these browser developers would implement the full complement of CSS protocols. It's annoying that they don't.

Safari does handle Java really well I must admit.

IE is a piece of crap because IE does not comply with standards. Where Firefox, Safari, and Opera do comply with web standards.

IE8 does pass the acid2 test, but gets a scary score on the acid3 test, and still lacks SVG support (and I've seen increasing amount of SVGs on Wikipedia)

Plus, IE isn't cross platform. While Firefox, Opera, and safari (somewhat), is. So unlike IE, you can keep Firefox and Opera settings across many systems (plus, can you use IE on a flash drive :D)
