This is not a homophobic remark. Len was talking about the level of tolerance and liberalism in the Navy and how, while you can be gay, you still cannot smoke pot. The emphasis for the caller was on being caught smoking. I agree that you are reaching.

You're really reaching with the idea that he is homophobic. He put emphasis on the word "gay" but it would be hard for me to believe that it is because he is homophobic. I assume you're a regular listener to his show, the man puts emphasis on many different words in the same fashion.
