Have you had good luck with 2700kv motor and 100 amp speedo? Seems like it's running great. Can't beat cheap and fast!

I had good luck with this set up, no problems at all. I have since upgraded this hull to the Zepher 27" and run the UL-1 Motor and ESC and an Octura X440/3, great power for around $120 on ebay and I get upper 40's with it.

The prop is 1/8" metal 30mm. Octura X430.

hey dude, if i want to buy a custom battery to upgrade the boats speed, do i look for higher Mah or higher voltage?

If you want more speed then higher voltage is the way to go. Higher Mah will add run time.

I have tried an Octura x432 prop on it which makes it faster, but makes it a lot harder to keep it on the water. The x430 prop makes it more consistent.

Have you tried a bigger prop to see how much faster it would be? sounds like it needs more prop..

I use a Turnigy 100 amp besc, a Turnigy 36-56 2700kv water cooled motor, an Octura X430 prop, Zippy H 4s1p 4000 mah 25C lipo. This set-up was GPS'ed at 45+mph, not bad for a plastic boat.
