@harleyluvrable I realize now that I misread your comment. I read your comment as "nobody LIKES Paulette Carlson." That's why I was like, "The Paulette Carlson era of Highway 101 is the only time they were commercially popular!" I know some people prefer Highway 101 after Carlson left and they replaced her with Nikki Nelson, but I think most people prefer this era of Highway 101. You just really can't beat stuff like this this song (Somewhere Between Gone and Goobye) or This Side of Goodbye.
@Tryptonique i agree with you 100%. nikki is an okay singer but she can't pull off a song like this one, she more suited for fun-bouncy songs that really have no meaning. she can't express the feelings of a song with her voice where paulette can do just about anything with her unique vocals. you hear paulette and you know it's paulette. you hear nikki and you can't tell if it's her or someone else. that's the big difference. :)
@Tryptonique "I'm a huge fan of Highway 101. Paulette Carlson had such a unique voice. That's one thing I miss on the radio these days is that way when Paulette sang you knew it was Paulette" from Trick Pony. I just saw this online and thought I'd share it with you since they have the same view as us :)
