  • haha! RIVEN!

the whole reason i love urban exploration soo much

  • I always laugh at those that say, "Don't do what "I" or "WE" are doing because it is dangerous. A stupid statement ! Mostly because including me there are hundreds who may view this video that have higher training and experience that you guys with the stufs in these places ! LOL

  • I would absolutley love to have the money to Buy the property that I live near that contains a Titan I complex and fix it up to look just like it is in operation. I would make a museum out of it! I would even have reenacters dress in early 60's military uniforms,SAC Police,Missile Combat Crew,Maintainence ect... Ive become obsessed with this style of complex,I have the owners name and Im hoping to talk to him about giving my an above ground tour at least,Im not sure if the inside is acessable...

  • where can i get that song? I like it. :)

  • @ExploreDestination

look up the game "Riven: the sequel to myst"

    best game ever

  • Need more info, like subtitles. You're outside, then inside, then outside...why?. Good footage, but needs explanations, narration.

  • "hey earnie..."

    ...4:59

    lol

  • UG shall own this one day.

  • what state is this 1 in & what silo is it

  • Nice Music XD

  • correction it was at 3:54

  • 3:57 "blah blah blah and the guy lost his head" then the video cut to the next scene..

  • do any muesuems for the Titan I exist or are all the sites pretty much abandon?

  • i was just there a few hours ago. it was really cool. we didnt go as far in either. and we just used bandanas instead of respitators lol.

  • Whats the Music?

  • I visited the site in the Sutter Buttes 2 years ago, they have to be the most undesturbed cold war reminence ive ever seen, nothing ive seen abondond from the early cold war era looked more frozen in time than this place did! I did get permission to go BTW so dont get any ideas if you plan to sneak in,these places are some of the creepiest on earth, they will be as creepy to future generations in the 21st century as old 1800's ghost towns and mines were/are to us in the 20th century

  • Good to see your wearing full face masks. How many actual launchers in this location. Just one plus a control room, or were there later atlas installs with multiple birds at one site?

  • @DumbYankies There were 5 Air Force Bases with the Titan I ,I live next to Beale AFB which was one of them,Beale has 3 sites, one up in Chico, one in the Small mmountain range east of Live Oak and Yuba city and the third down in Linclon, each missle site has 3 silos with the Titan I ready to go,ive looked all over the US on google earth at Titan 1 sites and they are all the same,3 silos with a water facility and a few untenna facilitys next to them.

  • @DumbYankies ah shoot i meant to say west of Live oak! my mistake.

  • I've been in here. Not at all safe and shut down fully as of now from what I hear.

  • where is that??

  • great video, thanks for uploading

  • oh man this place is huge, better whip out the pipboy and check the map.

  • @2HornDogs lol yes they are very big and very intimidating in size, the maps they show on the internet make them seem smaller than they actually are! the creepiest things n these sites are the terminal vent shafts wich drop from the surface 150 ft or so straight down,>>and not all of them are always coverd with a grill<<

  • 2:52 - the explorer looks like he is from Fallout wearing power armor carrying a Gatling gun of some sort.

  • Thats The Riven Soundtrack! Sounds cool though.

  • Check out The Massive Challenge. Help donate and get a chance to see one of these things!

  • i wouldn't mind owning one of these though. Through out europe many cold war era silos have actually been turned into under ground paintball/ airsoft facilities. i know one of which is fairly popular in the UK.

    pretty cool huh

  • Decommissioned Telecom bunkers are the best to purchase and renovate. The problem is usually less square footage and acreage. If you want more acreage, more renovation, more square footage, and probably more protection, a missile silo is the best. And you may even get lucky with a good fine. One Atlas F owner has found out that some of his machinery still works when he powers it up. The one draw back, is broadband service (DSL) to the missile silos which the telecom ones usually do not.

  • One day, I plan to buy this place and convert it into a luxury underground home/zombie apocalypse shelter.

    Hey, I can dream, can't I?

  • yeah you sure can XD

look on the bright side its under ground so the room temp will stay at around 60 degrees Fahrenheit so no more heating bills! :]

  • Yeah I would definatley want owners permission to go to one of these places because if you don't then when you come back up there would probably be a very angry farmer with a shotgun, wonderning what the heck you are doing on his property.

  • I been in 2 Titan-1 Missile Silo/Complexs in Denver, in the late 80's 1c & 2b. 1 C is mostly flooded. the other was dryer like the one you were at.

  • woo! riven music! I love it! I guess you have played the myst games?

I have heard about these silos around colorado. That looks really cool to explore one :) definetley not something you would want to do without the proper equipment and knowledge

  • you face the same dangers as cave exploring. alot of times these silos were build below the water line so they had a tendancy to flood easily. you also have to take into account of the possibility of dangerous levels of stale air or gases

abandoned silos of varying size can be found in practically any state. though i would be careful in kentucky. the manufacturing facility where the Manhattan project started is still under armed guard

  • I know you think it looks like a cool place to visit, but be aware these places are loaded with toxic chemicals, not to mention rusting flooring. Most are flooded, and NONE are open to the public. At least 1 in Texas is a private scuba club, and 1 in NY state is attached to a private residence.

  • John is very correct - the crew all wore liquid-sealed Tyvek suits and respirators, and we had a guide, with permission of the owner. It was pitch black and we had large lights with us. Numerous occasions we found small animals that had fallen to their deaths - there are no railings and holes can fall 100' down in some cases. It's a seriously dangerous place to be. And with the flooded sections, it can look like an inch or less, and it's really 30' of water or more.
