Infiniti EX "Around View Monitor" Birdseye Camera

I just bought a used2008, and the around view cam shows a gray box where the car is suppose to be. Anyone know how to fun this.?

I love the way the wide angle cameras mosaic into one picture. Very cool. Glad this is finally in America. I agree not totally necessary, but we have a lot of small people driving GIANT cars and this will aid them (and the rest of us) in three parking lot. As you can see from the video, visibility is not very good in that behemoth vehicle!!

In a car like this, these features are essential. Look at the views form those windows. You can't see shit. Whoever designed those windows was probably blind. In regards to "parallel parking" - try parking using your cameras in New York City.

Cool feature, yes, but uterly useless for good drivers and when it comes to bad drivers... well.. they shouldn't be driving. period.

This is very cool. I have been waiting for them to do this for years since the tech has always been here: install cameras, warp their display outputs to change their perspectives to overhead, then align their outputs to match on one screen as a single image. One day we may navigate our highways with augmented reality views in a windshield HUD. Somebody's going to do it someday.

@lilkhmerpete Yep they did. The 2002 Q45 introduced this feature to the passenger vehicle segment in April 2000, later offering it in April 2001 in the Premium Package model.

Have a 2007 Acura TL fully loaded right now. Definitely trading it in for the Inifiniti EX (even though it's a Nissan)

Infiniti is way better and of higher quality than Acura. It's on par with Lexus. Nissan is a consumer brend, just like Honda, so expectations should be within budget limits.

My dad and I test drove this car about two weeks ago and the whole time my mouth was wide open, this feature and all the other features this car has are like "WoW" but he ended getting a Volvo XC90 which is like "Oooh."
