It doesn't surprise me, I was brought into a room at my church and made to watch a video called "It's not gay" another brain washing video on top of the brain washing sermons. I felt more than relieved when I came out, and I left the church.

My mother told me a story about going to a church with one of her GF's and the pastor said essentially the same thing - sinners not allowed in his church - so she stood up and walked out. Please don't paint all Christian churches with the same stroke. There are bad ones and good ones. The good ones don't out of their way judge others, and they try to make a positive difference in the world. It's the bad ones that tend to stand out, unfortunately...sort of like certain politicians.

The christian dogma is about loving your next and ... even though I'm a person deeply un-christian and very critical of all things religious, the contuct of Justin's church was exactely the opposite of that. Christian churches could not exist if they didn't have someone to persecute. Their message is not love, it is hate. Their message is rooted in their belief that they know better than you do what God wants. The fact is that the more religious a person or a congregation is, the less spiritual they are. @jhr459 You are right. My comment was a generalization. I know Christians who are good decent people. And I have been associated with gay accepting churches. In that sense my comment is not fair to them. But all "religions" are based on dogma whose basic premise is my dogma is better than your dogman. If a person does not commit the original sin, "I believe, therefore you must believe", then there could well be a spiritual presence separate from theie ego.
