Gary Busey is a GREAT actor and all of you jackasses that say crap about him are numbnuts that don't know sheepshit from shinola. Gary Busey RULES!!!!
I've had the extreme pleasure to know Joe Renzetti who won an Oscar for his work on this film. I've also had the opportunity to stand upon the very spot that Buddy stood. The Surf Ballroom is Holy Ground and to look across the ballroom from the exact spot where Buddy stood is the highlight of my life. The crash site was very moving as well
@Zebonka Valid point that wasn't lost on me at all.Unfortunately,Hollywod & movie makers in general are prone to taking liberties with the facts. Sometimes I find it very annoying,other times not so much. Depends on how much truth is lost. I stop taking this sort of thing as factual a long time ago.
@Zebonka While I do understand your point about inaccuracies,It's ceratinly more about Buddy Holly than it is about Gary Busey. Most 'Bio' movies are loaded with less than accurate facts within the overall story.
What a sad story. One wonders why senseless tragedies like these have to occur in life. But even if it all ended tragically and prematurely for these guys, it's still better than to never have had them and their music at all.
fuuuuck cannot BELIEVE the tight arses that made this film couldnt even get a genuine looking guitar... for a start, Buddy's strat had a maple fretboard, not rosewood as shown here... and secondly this is clearly an early-70's or later model as the headstock is smaller than on the models from the 50's... so shite..
Awesome!o one can hold a candle to the real buddy though am i right?

@Zebonka why?

Death scenes in movies are usually very silly and amusing to watch. That, and Gary Busey really is a bit of a prick.

@Zebonka For the record, The Movie wasn't about Gary Busey, It was about Buddy Holly's Life,not his death.

Considering the huge number of inaccuracies, you'd be hard pressed to prove that this movie is about Buddy Holly.
