I pray that -in houses, buildings, or on the street, wherever we may meet- we as the Church will grow in our relationship with our Lord, and with each other. That we will accurately represent Him, and that as a result of that representation others will come to know the joy we know and have in Him!
Glad to see others meeting together as churches and exhorting one another according to the scriptures. For what it's worth, I wrote a novel about a young minister's tough decision to follow the denomination - or God. It's called Parting Ways by Patrick Sipperly. I'll try to leave the book trailer as a video response should you be interested. Either way, keep up the good work!
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
There is a problem with those stats as it has been posted more than 3 years ago and according to that rate within a span of less than two years, 100% of Cuba should have come to Christ.
+ ALL of China should have come to Christ if those stats are true.
Very convicting until you find out that those numbers are lying. I'm not against house churches, only about lying about how efficient they are.
house meetings are so powerful, everyone is seeking the lord. i believe soon in the coming years that's what the church is going to go back to. which will be fine because we'll see greater move of God
Since a Church is meant to consist of people who have already come to Christ, and would ideally contain zero non-believers (see 2 John 1), should any house Church "see people come to Christ" at all?
Well, I gave reference to a verse which strictly forbids the practice of inviting unbelievers into "the house". What in the letters to the Corinthians do you believe contradicts this?
The warning in II John is in regards to 'presumed Christians' being allowed in the church (for example, the false apostles that had also come to the churches in Corinth, preaching another jesus, spirit, or gospel. The Corinth church tolerated them, but according to Paul's comments he would not have allowed them in.)
The passage regarding unbelievers coming into a local Christian assembly is I Corinthians 14:24-25. Many Christians have invited unbelievers to church.
The passage in 1 Corinthians which you cited is not prescriptive. The phrasing reads as a "what if" scenario, not as a command to the Church.
The passage in 2 John, on the other hand, is a command. And no mention at all is given of whether the individual spoken of presumes to be a Christian or not. It merely describes him as a man who does not believe in Christ, AKA an unbeliever.
A "what if" scenario for what couldn't have taken place anyway?... nonsense. And I consider the rest of your argument a silly example of someone who has a problem with house churches and evangelism. [CLICK]
I am so glad I ran across this, it is amazing and shows that the word of God is being spread and people are coming to Christ. I never really realized there were so many house churches, that is a real testament of faith!
Wow, there is a lot we can learn from this video. The real challenge here in the West is being pushed outside of our comfort zones in our beautiful suburban churches and seeking God as our persecuted brothers and sisters in Jesus are around the world. How hungry are we for an intimate encounter with the God of the universe? How hungry are we for the power of God to move in our generation??
No bible, huh? Scary. That would mean you'd have to rely on somebody's "visions" or traditions or hearsay. Reading and teaching the written word of God is essential for the Christian, else why call yourself Christian?? Christianity IS the written word, meant for everybody to learn, and right doctrine is essential to know.
You wonder if persecution ends, if House Church will morph into conventional church.

This is a great video!
And, no, It is not the biblical example that a house church (or denominational church) will only consist of people who have already come to Christ.
Read the letters to the churches at Corinth. You will see that unbelievers were also welcome in their house churches.

How is that nonsense? Such is the entire point of what if scenarios.
[] And I consider the rest of your argument a silly example of someone who has a problem with house churches and evangelism. []
Not only is that irrelevant and an unjustified dismissal, it is also false. I have no problem with either. I have, in fact, participated in both.

I pray it will speed up in the West, especially the U.K. and especially the inner cities which many neglect!

Very thought provoking. Now God is starting to raise up house churches in the west, we will see this type of growth?

@kaazoom Perhaps with persecution.
