Their whole line of reasoning falls apart before you get to these plagues, because God said to Moses, very plainly, 'If they will not believe even these two signs or listen to your voice, you shall take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground, and the water that you shall take from the Nile will become blood on the dry ground.” (Ex. 4:9)' That's right, was water, poured out, then becomes דָּם (blood), not simply red. These guys don't have a clue. God has thought of everything. :)
Wow, first of all Jews are semites, and we are not white, we are black, olive skinned, asian, european, african, latin, if you knew anything you would know that. We originated in the Middle East. Me thinks you are just a bigot against anyone who is not the same or believe the same as you. Second, Simcha is an Oscar winning documentary maker, and an archeologist. Third, please remember the timelines back then and now are different. The ancients relied on a lunar calendar.
it's funny how simcha goes all the way to prove that christiannity is based on fiction while saying that the exodus and other jewish fiction stories were all real.......what a hypocrite
@Dominus181 What kind of idiot babble is that? Where in the 3 lines you wrote is there ANY sign of following the laws of logic and the rules of evidence? You wrote "this guy is suggesting X .... He's a Jew, he's an anti-Christ." The hell kind of reasoning is that? I have never studied the Hyskos but I know for a fact that Judaism branched out of the Canaanite religion. What are you going to call me for saying that? Cause you sure as hell won't argue the substance, just resort to sophistry.
The 10 Plagues are not the act of Nature or Science but the act of God and His Promise to Abraham,Isaac and Jacob(Israel). To build them a strong Nation.
Shame on the History Channel refusing to see or read the The Holy Scriptures.Shame on all the professors and James Cameron who took part of this video.God is a mystery that will never be revealed to man when comes to His miracles is not through science. And where did the Greeks come in!!?Don't think Egypt had neighbors that are visiting. If you are a Christian or Jew we both know the Satan is a THIEF,to come to STEAL,KILL AND DESTROY.And History Channel is in League with the Serpent.
Jews are so smart, they don't even need to lie to fool you. Just as long as you don't disagree with them. Or dare try agreeing to disagree with them. Churches today, as in Christ Jesus's day, are there to put spiritual walls between the father and his sons as well as the truth that the germanic race that spawned all white people, including most jews, are the israelites. Truth hurts for supremacists and cowards.
Get a grip it's people like you who through the middle east into utter turmoil with ur religious fanatasicm. Who are you to speak for God. I highly doubt a super evolved being is gonna waste his time punishing a small pion like yourself for going through life evolving and progressing with what we have to work with and doing the best we can to interact positively with others and set a good example.
All have sinned and greatly offended a holy God. Ie lying, stealing, blasphemy, adultery, hatred, etc. How will you do on the day of judgment? There only one way to escape the wrath of God on sinful man and it's by repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. You broke Gods law and Jesus paid your fine. Repent and trust in Him alone today.
When I heard of Pharaoh Ahmose for the first time I never thought of a connection between him and Moses, but when I noticed the word "Mose" it made me wonder, could it be possible?
In the documentary "Ramses: Wrath of God or Man?" Moses was one of the sons of Ramses II, he was inspired by Atenism to free the enslaved Hebrews, and that the battle of Kadesh + the crossing of the "reed" sea and the 10th plague were one in the same event. Personally, I found it hard to believe but reconsider the possibilites whenever the Exodus comes to mind.
@Dominus181 why? didn't he demonstrate it enough? i makes sense to me, we think we got all the answers right the first time, but really, everything is much older than we thought. look at the sumerian history, they're talking about Gods from hundreds of thousands of years ago. Who were they? the annunaki? we can't go back that far. Go Bekli Tepe in Turkey is dated 10-11 thousand yrs old. so why would the Exodus be right in 1200 BC?
@travlr3000x wow , the website of an organization whose self-declared mission statement is to "demonstrate the historical reliability of the bible" doesn't agree with the findings of of a documentary that calls into question the historical reliability of the bible... shocker that.
Organizations like this start from the premise that "the bible is true" and focus on data points that support this conclusion while selectively ignoring those that do not. The bible is a fairy tale.
@RedPoisonDartFrog WTF are you talking about? This documentary attempts to make a case for the reliability of the exodus story. The website quoted debunks the multiple errors in this documentary. The people in the documentary start from the premise the bible is true.
This so-called documentary is so full of BS pointing out it's errors cannot be fitted within 500 words. A simple google search of the title will reveal countless linguists, archaeologists and biblical scholars who have utterly annihilated this crap
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools
C'mon people, 2 milion people just leaving Egypt to survive in the Sinai for 40 years. Oh by the way, on that without leaving any archeological trace at all! Enough of biblical fairytales......
People this documentary is not far from the facts. The Egyptians did indeed expel a powerful Semitic peoples from Egypt whom they feared because of their power. Doesnt that remind you of anything? Yes, the fear of Jewish power and their expulsions from many lands of modern times tells me that this also occurred in Egypt. 2000 years ago Josephus identified the Jews with the Hyksos.....and so do I.
@sugarhitman the ancient israelites are NOT the same people as the white jewish people today, they're claiming to be a people that they are not. the israelites were people of color, not white europeans.
@JosephCee The Jews in their own Bible are described as being white and ruddy...the same color Jews are today. Most Jews I see like Ben Stein, Jeff Goldblum, Ben Stiller are certainly not white people. *smile*.
@JosephCee Looks like somebody hasnt read their Bible....King David is described as ruddy (a reddish color) when Samuel anoints him as King...Solomon is described as white and ruddy in the Song of Solomon...and the Jews are described as white and ruddy in the book of Lamentations.
So I guess everyone who saw the images missed the fact that the so called hebrew people were blacks!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!? ok ok ok re-wind it and look again. I saw AFROS and dark skinned. OMG!!!!! Someone is ignoring the PINK elephant in the ROOM yall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@dwolfe71 LOL! Those were clearly not Cushites...look at the noses,,clearly hawk nosed Semites..just like Jews of today. And yeah, many Mizrahi Jews are dark skinned.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPs they found the black hebrews on the walls!!!!!!! looooooooooooooooooooool I guess black are God's peopel (The AMO)!!!
No one looking at this shit can say those hebrews on the wall are the same color / race as the lilly white ones in Israel now!!!!!! Something is wrong with this picture...I mean really really wrong!!!! Looks like someone got their history jacked by another group (Ie...khazer jews jacked the history of black hebrews!!!)
WARNING TO ALL WHO WATCH THIS WHO ARE SCIENTIFICALLY MINDED:
this is a PSEUDO SCIENCE documentary that cherrypicks evidence, uses logical fallacies and biblical claims to support the fairy tale of the Exodus, THIS IS NOT A SCIENCE BACKED DOCUMENTARY.
@ccheng21 What? PSEUDO SCIENCE? Watch the complete documentary before judging. This documentary is very scientific, archeological and geological.Open your mind first.
"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good." ~ PSALMS 53:1
@ccheng21 you believe that the story of the israelite people's exodus out of egypt is a fairy tale, but i bet you believe jewish people when they tell you that they decend from the israelites.
What a load of creationist hocus pocus, or more to the point "Pseudo Science". I never heard the words "We Believe" uttered so many times in one "pseudo Documentary" in my life. Oh and the big question at the end...Was it a natural catastrophe? or divine intervention? that last question said it all for me. Thank you for some interesting creationist fiction.
Hey, alivewire13 I found your post to be interesting and thought I would also comment. The Old Testament was written by man true. But, the words were of divine origin. In other words men didn't simply sit down and start writing. Rather, they waited for "inspiration" to hit them if you will. The inspiration was literally God speaking to them. Interesting huh?
Damn this guy has some nerve. Imma rewriting history.
"As in Hebrew the word 'Ah' means brother, and 'Mose' means Moses, Jacobovici claims that the word Ahmose can be understood as 'brother of Moses'. This however is incorrect, as actual hieroglyphics in the pharaoh's name read Yahmes. 'Ahmose' is a mangled obsolete misreading of the name, still used traditionally"
"Jacobovici puts the Exodus in 1500 BC. However, it is believed that the pharaoh Ahmose ruled decades earlier, in 1550–1525 BC. Jacobovici does not address the issue, and simply moves Ahmose's rule 50 years to the future in order to fit his theory, without presenting any evidence or support for his claims."
there was no people called jews, thus there can never be a people in egypt called jew. Yisrael is the people, but if the children Israel did not exist how can they write of a people who did exist
@TheDriveMaster ....really? you atheists are really thick headed aren't you. This really makes me laugh, We use the scientific method and prove the bible to be more than just some book but yet your turn away from the idea and come up with every excuse that you could possibly think of about why the bible is fake. You make me sick..
@Wizirad2 To be termed scientific, a method of inquiry must be based on gathering observable, empirical and measurable evidence subject to specific principles of reasoning. What you call scientific method is just circular logic, in this case circular reasoning. You say I make you laugh and I make you sick... Can you decide wich one you choose? =) You have this "scientific methods" used to justify just about everything, from UFOs to Islam to Conspiracy theories, etc.
@Wizirad2 I am not an atheist, do you use some "scientific method" to get to that conclusion? Well... I´m not. =) I just think humans shoud stop playing God. The Bible say things like Solomon listening to ants, well, I got news for you... Ants dont use sound in communication... Sory dude... Time to wake up! I know it hurts but if you reach for it, the true is closer to you, you just can´t try to make the true fit your previous beliefs, if you really want it. People have to choose...
@TheDriveMaster What? You're not an atheist? But you don't believe in God's words in the Bible, how was that? Watch the complete documentary before judging. This documentary is very scientific, archeological and geological.Open your mind first.
"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good." ~ PSALMS 53:1
- I suggest you to search on bro. Eliseo Soriano of The Old Path. He's got ALL the answers
@TheDriveMaster just because something isn't scientifically "true" doesn't mean it can't happen. no one is playing God; if you actually read the Bible, you would find that you can't presuppose God - the creator of the entire universe - to be bound by the "rules" of our world. If God wanted to make ants talk, he could. The Bible is one of the most accurate historical documents, and has predicted events that have happened as recently as 60 years ago.
The Bible is one of the most illogical, historically inaccurate, morally repugnant, and plain idiotic books in existence. It constantly contradicts itself, makes claims that can't be proven (or dis-proven), and preaches a faux-morality that is not only impractical but disturbingly self-serving and sophistic (if not downright vicious and cruel). Even if your God existed (which he doesn't) I would NEVER bow down to an omnipotent being that's so petty that he demands my worship.
@PenTheMighty really? historically inaccurate? so why don't you go actually read the bible and then compare world events in history, such as the babylonian, medo-persian, greek, and roman empires? and back up your claim, everyone states that the Bible "contradicts" itself, but provide evidence (or at least try to, because there is none). What claims does it make that cannot be proven? be specific. And if it's morality is so fake, then why are many governments built on its example? (con't).
You want me to break all that information down in less than 500 characters? And to what end? So you can proceed to ignore everything I post and claim victory after you've run through every logical fallacy there is? Hell no. The burden of proof is on you to prove your beliefs in a public forum. Hell, I'll even make a bet. If you can prove the Bible is a historically accurate and non-contradictory, I'll convert on the spot.
@PenTheMighty so basically what you're saying is that you can't. you're the one who said that it can't be proven or unproven (even though nothing in science is really "proven," it is merely assigned the most likely theory), and therefore the burden of proof rests on you. and what victory? I have nothing to prove to you; i could not care less what you believe. all i did was ask you to back up your false claim. but since you're so defensive and angry for some reason, i guess you won't...
@redlightdeath Oi...Guess I'm stuck then. I'll just have to Reply-Reply everything. Alright. A small list of inconsistencies: Matthew 1:16 vs. Luke 3:23 Matthew 27:5 vs. Acts 1:18 2 Samuel 24:1 vs. Chronicles 21:1 Exodus 21:12 vs. Romans 12:17, likewise Matthew 5:39 Luke 23:46 vs. John 19:30 1 Corinthians 2:15 vs. 1 Corinthians 4:5 1 Kings 9:23 vs. 2 Chronicles 8:10 Fore more information, google Internal Consistency of the Bible.
The Bible makes references to mythological creatures. Dragons, cockatrices, unicorns, giant serpents. What's funny is that these references were "corrected" in newer versions of the Bible. (A perfect book according to Deuteronomy 32:4 and 2 Timothy 3:16 requires editors?). As such these are present in the KJV of Bibles but not in NIV versions.
Dragons: Deuteronomy 32:33, Nehemiah 2:13, Job 30:29 (there are more)
1 Chron 29:7 - King David collects ten thousand drams (or darics) for the construction of the temple in Jerusalem. Darics were coins named after King Darius I who lived some five hundred years after David.
Joshua 8:28 says that Ai was never again occupied after it was destroyed by Joshua. But Nehemiah lists it among the cities of Israel at the time of the Babylonian captivity.
Those are just a few...There are more but again, 500 characters is not enough.
Daniel 5:1-2 says Belshazzar was king of the Chaldean Empire (Babylon), and son and successor of Nebuchadnezzar. In reality, Nebuchadnezzar's son and successor was Amel-Marduk
Hosea 5:13 tells us the Assyrian King at that time was named Jareb. There was never an Assyrian king by that name.
Esther 1:9 Vashti was queen of Persia, but the queen at this time was actually Amestris, and there never was a queen of Persia named Vashti. Vashti was the name of an Elamite goddess.
@PenTheMighty humans have rewritten the bible over and over again. There is bound to be errors. i dont believe believe that inconsistencies should deter oneself to think of a higher purpose but thats just me. hebrew and arabic (i know arabic) have signs and dots that if missing, dramatically changes the meaning of a word. also, the bible is rather accurate in other situations.Belshazzar also said he would make the man that can interpret the words on the wall the THIRD highest rank in the nation
@inrrivas They are not talking about King James Version when they say "bible" here. We still have the original of most of the scripts. We dont have to rely on any poor translations when we have the original.
@Culturealimprovement well the "Bible" scripts we consider as the official Hebrew cannon are all copies of the copies. The original writings, if written when we think, do not exist. Writings that the Bible are based on are like the Septuagint, and other schools of scribes that rewrote/translated the Bible to what we have today. The earliest Biblical writings found are the Dead Sea Scrolls, going back like a century BCE. so what went on with rather crude translations then are out of our knowlege
Jeremiah 29:10 says the Babylonian Exile will last 70 years. 2nd Chronicles 36:21 tells us that this came about. However, the elapsed time from the destruction of the temple (beginning of the exile) in
586 B.C., to the return of the Israelites to their promised land in 538 B.C. was 48 years, and not 70.
Acts 5, where Luke writes of the Pharisee speech (vv. 34-39). This speech would have taken place around AD 35-40, yet it refers to Theudas’ revolt of AD 46-47 as a past event.
@PenTheMighty and technically, the decree to return to Israel was in 538, but the Israelites left Babylon in huge numbers about 70 years later. just saying what i know...
@PenTheMighty it sounds to me like you're just angry at everything, and mad because what you perceive as "God" didn't give you money and power. In the end, it's your choice if you don't want to accept the being that created you, no one is forcing you. Just be prepared to face the consequences. peace.
@Wizirad2 Let me clarify myself before we continue. I'm not out to claim that science is fake, I actually find logic in the bible through science. I'm here to argue about the theory's of creation and evolution proposed by scientists. Science is basically God's instruction book on life. Thats why a lot of science is right, but when you try to play God and decide how things happen thats when problems arise. Many scientists set out to prove their theory's of creation but they always fail.
@TheDriveMaster Dude i'm a Christian lol. I'm just merely saying if we proved the bible to be fact not only historically but scientifically, Then i don't understand why these atheists continue to be denying the truth of the Bible.
@Wizirad2 It just don´t matter what you are, really. Scientifically and historically they did not prooved the Bible is right. Im sory. This is like little kids playing science. Ok some stories of the bible are based in actual events, but this documentary goes way too far and is fallacious. I will send you a link in private message with some information.
@TheDriveMaster Well funny thing is i actually do my research, i'm not one to follow something for no good reason. I've researched on Darwinism, Scientific theory's and even looked through creationism. So far i've found that Darwinism and its theory of macro-evolution is the biggest load of BS ever created by man. Lacking the proof of the missing link and the inability to explain simple things such as the human concession. Mans attempt at trying to explain creation is simple funny because its BS
@Wizirad2 Organized religion claims of knowing God and possessing God´s word never have been so exposed to ridicule. Religion is not just faith is power, power that in the case of this video and in fact, are used for political reasons. They are well aware of the importance of science and they try to use it! I think you have exposed yourself to this and I have to advise you, be carefull about this videos, they are as faulty as you get. Search for other sources.
@Wizirad2 More then 90% of scientistis are atheists. The rest accept God in their own therms in the vast majority of the 10% Why is that the most brilliant minds with better information choose to be atheist? Look at genetics and you clearly will see human transformation, why some people born with multiple nipples, tales, etc.
@TheDriveMaster The reason why the still are athiest because they have convinced them selfs that evolution is real, the one thing that they look for is the "missing link" the transition from a fish..to a cat or a monkey from a human. Sadly they are still searching for this "missing link" but alas they will never find it. Plus Darwinism suggests that the human concession ( you know that thing that isn't made of matter but its still there) was formed when the brain became so complex it made one..
@Wizirad2 We generally define a species as some interbreeding group that cannot, or does not, productively breed with another group. But since species are not fixed (they change through time), it can be difficult to be sure where one species ends and another begins.modern biologists prefer a continuum metaphor, in which shades of one life form grade into another. Life is not arranged as links, but as shades. The metaphorical chain is far less substantial than it sounds.
@Wizirad2 Thus the chain metaphor is wrong. It doesn’t accurately represent biology as we know it today, but as it was understood over four centuries ago. The myth persists because of convenience; it is easier to think of species as types, with discrete qualities, than as grades between one species and another.
@Wizirad2 Charles Darwin is like Freud, they are references and nothing more. Science is not a religion, don´t have dogmas, many knowledge came after Mr Darwin my friend. You can´t take modern day science by Darwin standarts... And even Darwin regretted "human concession" by the way... Molecular biology, evolutionary biology and population genetics, DNA, junk DNA is modern day science (modern from the 60´s lol), inform yourself about this =) and forget Darwin!
at 6:56 it says that the Israelites arrived in Egypt some 200 years before their exodus according to the Bible. But... Exodus 12:40 says that the Israelite people lived in Egypt for 430 years.
In hebrew says Isaac was sixty years old when Jacob was born,3 and Jacob was 130 years old when he went down to Egypt.4 This means that 190 of the 400 years elapsed before the Israelites arrived in Egypt. So the Israelites were in Egypt for a total of 210 years.
Also says that they work so hard, double the time. Twice as hard. therefore is consider as they live 400 years. so that is how Christians translated in to english.
I read in The Cartoon History of the Universe that the Hebrews ran through a marshy area called the Reed Sea because it was full of, guess what, reeds.
The Egyptians, with their wheeled chariots, could not follow them.
Just like many stories get inflated over the years, this story was retold and it became more outrageous. Then the Reed Sea became the Red Sea and Moses parting the sea, which was no more possible then than it is today.
@alivewire13 The two types of inspiration are subtle influence and author/originator. God works through the authors. It's the same as our conscience. It isn't as if a person is telling us what to do. God is too mysterious for some people to believe in. Perhaps you're too insecure that you require factual evidence for everything (and I'm not trying to be rude). It takes real faith to believe in something that can't be seen or proven by earthly facts. Let me know if you have any more questions.
@alivewire13 First of all, you have no business critcizing an entire faith based on a knowledge that consists of solely your own opinions. Theres nothing wrong with you asking a question but once you start getting cocky and ignorant, thats where I draw the line. I could write a whole book on why I'm Catholic but let me start with answering your question. The Bible isn't a story made up by random "mortals." It is a library of many books written by many people inspired by God.
@CherokeeTwilight Maybe you need study natural, archeological & scientific history based on real proof and with applied technological scientific evidence to back it up, while on the other hand instead of you relying on a fictional brainwashing book.To control the masses that has no proof, evidence or fact's to support that which has been written by so called "Holy Men" what so ever.
@Wizirad2 I have watched it several times actually FYI but I suspect that maybe it wasn't the RED SEA,REED SEA or REEVES SEA maybe it was the WEED SEA and when it "parted" they smoked what was in it with thier water pipes, because nothing the BIBLE depicts is based on TRUE FACTS!!! That's probably how they heard the voice of GOD! They all were on drugs.
@alivewire13 ROFL. Yah thats it. 40 or more people 1000 years ago came together and decided that they were going to write a 800 sum page book and make up all these stories about how God does this and God does that. Just for shit and giggles. Yah thats it.
@Wizirad2 Forty or more people had thier hands in the Bible, hmmm interesting, that many people or more stirring up the pot so to speak some 1,000 years ago as you state but only a 1,000 seems to me GOD is the beginning an end of time, exhistance etc.etc. why did it take so long for him to hand down a Bible to mere mortals like our selves when it is proven that the Mayan's,Inca's,Egyptians etc,etc have been around for as much as 5,000 yrs.He was busy I guess to relay his message.
New pictures of Hyksos statues have been found: The Egyptologist François Auguste Ferdinand Mariette (February 11, 1821 – January 19, 1881), had them stashed away in his scrapbook. You will find them very interesting.
We can't post web links, so cut and paste this address, then add the necessary parts like (COM)
Basically. He doesn't have his facts straight at all. I don't even know where he got those ideas (saying the Bible was written some 150-200 years after the Christ is categorically and laughably false).
@Firebomber7 People tend to confuse the Old and New Testaments. They're not the same book and they don't have any connection with each other- at least not to Jews. The Old Testament was definitely written way before Jesus b/c Jesus himself studied the Torah Bible (Old Testament). The New Testament was based on the death and resurrection of Jesus, which Christians claim was the fulfillment of prophesies described in the Old Testament.
As to the coral grow rate, the following link shows that the grow rate is very slow on objects such as ships - matches the Exodus findings. The U boat 1277 is a 70 years old wreck from WWII.
Finally a scientific & factual depiction / historic account of the "EXODUS".
However can anyone explain as to why the so called 'BIBLE' is written by mere religious mortal men such as prophets, priest's,kings,& popes etc.etc. some 150 -200 years after the crucifixtion of JESUS???How doe's this become GOD's word???if written by man???
@alivewire13 There's a lot of evidence out there about many events in the bible. Thing is most scholars do not want to hear anything about it, because most of them don't like anything that has to do with god. As for the bible.. The men who have written the bible were guided by god (Jehovah). The pope is no one special, he is just a man, and came about when Rome got a hold of Christianity, which then completely changed it, as some of Jesus' apostles said would happen .. Very interesting stuff.
@alivewire13 Jesus also did not create what we call Christianity. It had been around long before him. Jesus' job was to basically buy back humanity, give mankind hope, and a prelude of his father's kingdom, and spread the truth. Because of Jesus the faith was exposed to more than just the Israelite people. There's a load of interesting stuff to be discovered if you really study about the things Jesus said, and what is said by Jehovah before Jesus' time
@alivewire13 Im not sure where your getting your dates at, but the last book wriiten in the Bible was written on the island of Patmos in 90-95 a.d. Thats only 60 yrs after the crucifixion. And it was written by the last surviving Apostle.
@CherokeeTwilight Ok,even if what you say is TRUE,why did it take that long to write about such an EPIC an 'Historical Event' if it was such NEWS at that time why 60 years to write?Hmmm...... and even since then religous figures have been adding to it even to this day.It simply doe's not add up,the whole story is the biggest rip off of the world,a way to control peoples minds and take thier money, religion has more blood on it's hands with "HOLY WARS" than Hitler or the Atom bomb.
@alivewire13 Well, have you ever read the Book of Revelation? Its not about the Gospels of Jesus, Its about a message from an Angel to the Apostle John. It happened when he was imprisoned fon the Island of Patmos. The vision was 55-60 yrs after the crucifixion. True the Crusades adn the Inquisitions killed many, but that was Catholic Rome. You see Catholicism is Roman Paganism mixed with Christianity. Which is bad. It is not what Jesus or the Apostles taught. Technically Ctholicism is cont-
@alivewire13 cont-not Christianity. You see Catholics believe the Pope forgives their sins. While true Christians believe forgiveness is from God through Christ. There is a big difference. Did you know Catholicism changed God's 10 commandments? They worship idols as well. Catholics ignored the 6th commandment by killing in the name of Catholicism. Im not sure how far you want to go into this but theres even prophecies in the Bible that said these things would happen. cont-
@hope4theliving yes. past and present. killing was more on the latter, the crusades, the inquisition. you know all that historical stuff. protestants and judea have killed in Gods name as well. As far as idol worship goes, that commandment was removed adn another was split in two. Do you want specifics on the commandment changes? Praying to and in front of a statue of Mother Mary, Gudalupe, any of the saints, or bowing down to statues performing miracles is idol worship. I got more.
@hope4theliving I would also like to add I think there will be many Catholics in heaven. There are very sincere Christians in many denominations. Its the organization or syytem that is corrupt, Papal Rome. I can elaborate further if you like.
@CherokeeTwilight very few people follow the narrow path, most all even christians follow the wide path wich leads to well, no where. we all sin, break gods laws but not to many people follow the laws in the first place.
@hope4theliving As far as killing in the past and present, Papal Rome has KILLED the truth all along. Misguided teachings and persecution of those seeking Gods word.
@alivewire13 cont- You see the best lioes are mixed with a little bit of truth. The Devil is good at this. How better to attack Christianity then from within. Anyways true Christians are Christ like. The Bible tells us not all Christians will bo to heaven, and that there will be good and bad in the Christian faith until the end comes.
@alivewire13 God took 2,000 years just about to bring the salvation of man. Why does it matter if the last book in the bible was written 60 years after the crucifixion? God has His reasons for His times. 1,000 years to Him could be one day. Time is not something that He worries about, He was, is and will be always! I just thank God that we were given a chance to repent, and turn back and a chance to be saved from His wrath for being the sinners we are. PRAISE JESUS for dieing for us!
@alivewire13 One of the greatest miracles of the Bible is its unity. Please ponder the following amazing facts The 66 books of the Bible were written:On three continents. In three languages. . By about 40 different people (kings, shepherds, scientists, attorneys, an army general, fishermen, priests, and a physician). cont-
@alivewire13 cont-Over a period of about 1,500 years.
On the most controversial subjects.
By people who, in most cases, had never met. By authors whose education and background varied greatly. Yet, though it seems totally inconceivable, The 66 books maintain harmony with each other. They wrote as they were "Inspired" by God
@alivewire13 First of all, the bible wasn't written 150-200 years after Jesus' crucifixion, I do not know where you got that. The apostles wrote those books right after Jesus died and was resurrected. I don't know about when it was translated into english, but it was written right after. The old testament was written by Prophets during their lifetimes. Those writings were discovered over time, as God would have it, because He said His word will never pass away. And it hasn't.
@alivewire13, It was written by men, but inspired by God Himself. And please take popes out of that. There is not one pope that wrote any bit of the Bible. The King James bible and those that are written from that bible. The catholic bible that was messed up by the popes, but the bible was not.
@bethmb85 Exactly my point thanks for admitting to the fact that the Popes,Apostles and many other Holy figures added thier 2 cents to the Bible for years & years now oh,excuse me the Catholic Bible either way, why do you fear GOD's wrath, provided that he exhist's which I question. Why fear him if he is a loving GOD????I suppose or I am assuming & you know what they say about ASSUMING,that you consider humans to be the only inteligent life throughout the entire universe??Beam me up Scotty.
@alivewire13 I did not say the apostles and other Holy figures added their two cents in. I said the popes made up their own bible. These writings in the bible were translated from the original writings of the apostles and prophets. I fear God's wrath because God is God. His wrath is just as strong as His love. He despises wickedness, and it is punished. He loves His people, and gives a love to them that doesn't even have human words to describe it. Why would you want to rebel against that?
@bethmb85 Ok,let me understand something you stated that there is not one Pope that wrote the in Bible, then in a later statement you tell me they wrote thier own Bible, hmmm you seem to be suffering from your own Demons like Bi- Polarism. Again back to my original question. Can anyone explain as to why the so called 'BIBLE' is written by mere religious mortal men such as Prophets,Priest's,Kings,& Popes etc.etc.???Bethmb85 can't seem to answer the question, apparently some form of memory loss.
@alivewire13 This is what I said the first time "There is not one pope that wrote any bit of the Bible. The catholic bible that was messed up by the popes, but the bible was not. "
This is what I said the second time.
"I said the popes made up their own bible."
What are you confused about exactly?
The catholic "bible" i was referring to is the catechism, that gives the teachings of the catholic church, all the things the follow and what not. they do not follow the same bible.
@bethmb85 So just how many "Bibles" total do we have hmmmm, which is exactly why I am not religous, too many hands stirring up the pot.It would seem to me that "GOD" would bring him self forward & straighten out you religous people out.The only reason why we have so many interpretations is for simple brain washing & mind control over various peoples, and of course money that is why the Catholic Church is one of, if not the richest institution in the world, plenty of years to a mass their wealth.
@alivewire13 The catholic church is of the devil, not God. We have so many bible translations mostly because they are translated into different languages so that people across the world can read them. And God does come and straighten us "religious" people out. lol... trust me.. He is very good at disciplining His children when we go astray. If you read the bible, you would be able to tell the difference between a true believer and a lier.
@alivewire13 It was written by prophets and kings and apostles, (not popes) because that is the way God had it written. does that not answer your question? or do you still want to question the way God does things? Somethings you just have to except as the way He does things, it is not for us to question why He does something the way He does it.
@alivewire13 I do not consider humans to be "intelligent" life either lol.we are as stupid as anything else. And no, I do not believe in aliens and the sort, that stuff was made up from people experiencing demons and demonic activity. U know all the monster shows and things that children watch, are in actuality demons that people saw and drew as cartoon characters? U want your kid to be playing and watching those things? God scares me, to a point of respect for Him, respect that ONLY He deserves
Alivewire13, the answer to your question is that a bunch of self-appointed religious leaders tell the ignorant masses, who can't think for themselves - This is the word of God! And it is holy!
The ignorant masses buy the message, hook, line and sinker.
@alivewire13 The Bible was not written some 150 -200 years after the crucifixtion of Jesus. Jesus even quotes verses from the book of Isaiah hundreds of years after it was written. So you definitely should look at studying a little bit of history as Cherokee Twilight says.
@alivewire13 The gospels were written about 60 years after Jesus resurrection. One day I will upload some really boring videos on that subject. The words of the bible were inspired by God; God can speak through men (and women btw). The bible is a message, it is the message which matters the most.
@alivewire13 The bible is kinda like a History text book. Its books were written down by people who witnessed these events. God would talk to the prophets through visions and prayer and would tell them these prophecies. The bible came together because of God. The probability of all these separate writings coming together and actually foretelling future events is the near impossible. The bible was written by man, But it was God telling them what to write down.
Goof grief... Where did you get the idea that "The Bible" was WRITTEN 150-200 years after the crucifixion? I suggest you do some actual research before you ask questions that make zero sense.
"So called 'BIBLE'"? Are you actually implying that it doesn't even exist???
@Firebomber7 Trying to reason with people who engage in radical skepticism is always fruitless. The guy probably believes that he doesnt exist and that the world is a computer simulation of Aliens.
I've heard both of those ideas, or ideas like them, spoken in seriousness and without irony. I don't know anything about the conversations that have been taking place on this channel, but stranger things have happened.
@alivewire13 It was written by mere mortal men who were given the accounts and inspired by God. And beware, the 150-200-years-later argument is a lie that non-believers created and are trying to pass off as fact because that way it destroys hundreds of prophesies which would prove the Bible supernatural. By saying it was written centuries after the events prophezied makes it look like a history book.... written by mortal men.
@alivewire13 the Bible was gradually written. It started with the first five books of Moses...God told him to start writting around the year 1450 BC. The whole entire "Old Testament" was probably already set by 5th century BC. The New Testament was all written before the 1 century AC was over.
@alivewire13 you gotta remember that the bible wasnt written at once but rather over hundred and hundred of years. 'The New Testament' was completely written somewhere between 50-100 AD. The earliest known person to READ (not write anything) our full NT was Athanasius, Bishop of Alexandria which was in 367 AD. There are the scriptures written AFTER the crucifixion of JESUS. But I assume from you comment you were talking about the entire BIBLE......
@alivewire13 ........The Old Testament was writtin long before Jesus was born. And over a span of hundreds of years. You can categorise the OT into 3 groups, The Penteteuch (books of Law), Prophets, and the writtings. I dont know the exact dates they were written but the books of law was cannonised aprx 6th century BC, Prophets 4th century BC, and the writtings 1st century AD. Although the writtings were completely writtin, some books werent considered to have authority. (eg esther, song ....
@alivewire13 ..... of songs, ecdlesiastes). So you could say they werent completely canonised until after Jesus' crucifixion, but the OT was definatly written before. And yes the bible was written by men but these men were inspired by God, not just any man off the street. So ultimately the bible is the word of God, but it was still written by men, the book didnt just drop from the sky for all you other readers who see this and wondered.
8:00 At the tomb of Beni Hassan around 1700 BC the wall paintings of the semites (israelites) that arrived in egypt shows them to be much darker than most of the Israeli jews today(Like Ethiopian Jews). Does it mean that most jews today are of European descendancy and jews only by faith?
I read somewhere that most of those jews who look like europeans now are white people from a place in southern Russia called Khazaria that existed around 700 AD and they were converted to judaism then.
The exodus is Nonsense: Here an excerpt out of the--Jewish Post--When we deal with the Exodus, we basically have one account-the Torah's. When it comes to the historical analysis of the Exodus, we have only one account, and asserting the historical validity of an event that took place 3500 years ago on the basis of a single account does not put you on very solid historical footing.
The Exodus is not about history; it is about faith
Keep in mind the earth being created in 6 days is not to be taken literally. Each "day" is to be construed as an Epoch of creation as in a person had his "day" era or period of time in the sun.
Be very skeptical and do your own deep and logical search of Bible facts. Through logic and fact I have come to believe (as Isaac Newton did) that the Bible is a book of truth. To achieve this, however, you must be open to the truth of it.

There is not a single shred of historical or archaeological evidence to support the LIE that Egypt had Hebrew slaves much less any Exodus!
There is not a single written record, There are no hieroglyphics of Hebrew slaves or of a Hebrew Exodus either
it all falls under the category of whites doing what they do best (AND JEWS ARE WHITE)
which is LIE!

Who were they? the annunaki? we can't go back that far. Go Bekli Tepe in Turkey is dated 10-11 thousand yrs old. so why would the Exodus be right in 1200 BC?

Organizations like this start from the premise that "the bible is true" and focus on data points that support this conclusion while selectively ignoring those that do not. The bible is a fairy tale.

"As in Hebrew the word 'Ah' means brother, and 'Mose' means Moses, Jacobovici claims that the word Ahmose can be understood as 'brother of Moses'. The Bible is one of the most accurate historical documents, and has predicted events that have happened as recently as 60 years ago.
redlightdeath 6 months ago
@redlightdeath
PenTheMighty 6 months ago
@PenTheMighty really? historically inaccurate? so why don't you go actually read the bible and then compare world events in history, such as the babylonian, medo-persian, greek, and roman empires? and back up your claim, everyone states that the Bible "contradicts" itself, but provide evidence (or at least try to, because there is none). What claims does it make that cannot be proven? be specific. And if it's morality is so fake, then why are many governments built on its example? (con't).
redlightdeath 6 months ago
@redlightdeath
PenTheMighty 6 months ago
@PenTheMighty so basically what you're saying is that you can't. you're the one who said that it can't be proven or unproven (even though nothing in science is really "proven," it is merely assigned the most likely theory), and therefore the burden of proof rests on you. and what victory? I have nothing to prove to you; i could not care less what you believe. all i did was ask you to back up your false claim. but since you're so defensive and angry for some reason, i guess you won't...

Prayer problems (if prayer worked, we wouldn't need doctors): James 5:14-15
This is a small list of the downright loony stuff that's present in the Bible. There's a lot more.

Dragons: Deuteronomy 32:33, Nehemiah 2:13, Job 30:29 (there are more)
Unicorns: Isaiah 34:7
Cockatrice: Isaiah 14:29, Isaiah 59:5
PenTheMighty 6 months ago

Historical accuracy:

@inrrivas They are not talking about King James Version when they say "bible" here. We still have the original of most of the scripts. We dont have to rely on any poor translations when we have the original.
Culturealimprovement 4 months ago

Sticks turning into snakes (Exod. 7:10-12)

Dead man reviving when his corpse came in contact with the bones of a prophet (2 Kgs. 13:21)

Point is, the Bible is filled with nonsense like this. The idea that "The Bible is one of the most accurate historical documents" is ludicrous.

TheDriveMaster 1 year ago

TheDriveMaster 1 year ago

@jacobnz2 Wrong english translation.
210 years is the real total

Let me know if you have any more questions.
hope4theliving 1 year ago
@alivewire13 First of all, you have no business critcizing an entire faith based on a knowledge that consists of solely your own opinions. Theres nothing wrong with you asking a question but once you start getting cocky and ignorant, thats where I draw the line. I could write a whole book on why I'm Catholic but let me start with answering your question. The Bible isn't a story made up by random "mortals." It is a library of many books written by many people inspired by God.

The Old Testament was definitely written way before Jesus b/c Jesus himself studied the Torah Bible (Old Testament). The New Testament was based on the death and resurrection of Jesus, which Christians claim was the fulfillment of prophesies described in the Old Testament.

alivewire13 1 year ago 2
@alivewire13 There's a lot of evidence out there about many events in the bible. Thing is most scholars do not want to hear anything about it, because most of them don't like anything that has to do with god. As for the bible.. The men who have written the bible were guided by god (Jehovah). The pope is no one special, he is just a man, and came about when Rome got a hold of Christianity, which then completely changed it, as some of Jesus' apostles said would happen .. Very interesting stuff.
NOMNOM81 1 year ago
@alivewire13 Jesus also did not create what we call Christianity. It had been around long before him. Jesus' job was to basically buy back humanity, give mankind hope, and a prelude of his father's kingdom, and spread the truth. Because of Jesus the faith was exposed to more than just the Israelite people. There's a load of interesting stuff to be discovered if you really study about the things Jesus said, and what is said by Jehovah before Jesus' time

Im not sure how far you want to go into this but theres even prophecies in the Bible that said these things would happen. cont-
CherokeeTwilight 1 year ago
@CherokeeTwilight Are you talking about present Roman Catholicism? Because we don't worship idols or kill for any reason.
hope4theliving 1 year ago
@hope4theliving yes. past and present. killing was more on the latter, the crusades, the inquisition. you know all that historical stuff. protestants and judea have killed in Gods name as well. As far as idol worship goes, that commandment was removed adn another was split in two. Do you want specifics on the commandment changes? Praying to and in front of a statue of Mother Mary, Gudalupe, any of the saints, or bowing down to statues performing miracles is idol worship. I got more.

Why fear him if he is a loving GOD????I suppose or I am assuming & you know what they say about ASSUMING,that you consider humans to be the only inteligent life throughout the entire universe??Beam me up Scotty.
alivewire13 1 year ago
@alivewire13 I did not say the apostles and other Holy figures added their two cents in. I said the popes made up their own bible. These writings in the bible were translated from the original writings of the apostles and prophets. I fear God's wrath because God is God. His wrath is just as strong as His love. He despises wickedness, and it is punished. He loves His people, and gives a love to them that doesn't even have human words to describe it. Why would you want to rebel against that?

This is what I said the second time.
"I said the popes made up their own bible."
What are you confused about exactly?
The catholic "bible" i was referring to is the catechism, that gives the teachings of the catholic church, all the things the follow and what not. they do not follow the same bible.
bethmb85 1 year ago
@bethmb85 So just how many "Bibles" total do we have hmmmm, which is exactly why I am not religous, too many hands stirring up the pot.It would seem to me that "GOD" would bring him self forward & straighten out you religous people out.The only reason why we have so many interpretations is for simple brain washing & mind control over various peoples, and of course money that is why the Catholic Church is one of, if not the richest institution in the world, plenty of years to a mass their wealth.
alivewire13 1 year ago
@alivewire13 The catholic church is of the devil, not God. We have so many bible translations mostly because they are translated into different languages so that people across the world can read them. And God does come and straighten us "religious" people out. lol... trust me.. He is very good at disciplining His children when we go astray. If you read the bible, you would be able to tell the difference between a true believer and a lier.
bethmb85 1 year ago
@alivewire13 It was written by prophets and kings and apostles, (not popes) because that is the way God had it written. does that not answer your question? or do you still want to question the way God does things? Somethings you just have to except as the way He does things, it is not for us to question why He does something the way He does it.
bethmb85 1 year ago
@alivewire13 I do not consider humans to be "intelligent" life either lol.we are as stupid as anything else. @alivewire13 The bible is kinda like a History text book. Its books were written down by people who witnessed these events. God would talk to the prophets through visions and prayer and would tell them these prophecies. The bible came together because of God.

But I assume from you comment you were talking about the entire BIBLE......
jacobnz2 10 months ago
@alivewire13 ........The Old Testament was writtin long before Jesus was born. And over a span of hundreds of years. You can categorise the OT into 3 groups, The Penteteuch (books of Law), Prophets, and the writtings. I dont know the exact dates they were written but the books of law was cannonised aprx 6th century BC, Prophets 4th century BC, and the writtings 1st century AD. Although the writtings were completely writtin, some books werent considered to have authority. (eg esther, song ....
jacobnz2 10 months ago
@alivewire13 ..... of songs, ecdlesiastes). So you could say they werent completely canonised until after Jesus' crucifixion, but the OT was definatly written before. And yes the bible was written by men but these men were inspired by God, not just any man off the street. So ultimately the bible is the word of God, but it was still written by men, the book didnt just drop from the sky for all you other readers who see this and wondered.
