A few things wrong in this video. The 9 minute flight duration refers to the length of the powered flight of the rocket, not the amount of time it was in space. The rocket made it to orbit, and would have been over Australia an hour later. It was in space, so there would have been no "atmospheric friction" or "booster glow" as you put it.
I need to add something: Look at the location, it is dark. Yet this thing is still visible. If this were a rocket malfunction, the contrail of gas would not be illuminated; it would only be illuminated very slightly by the engines. These spirals are completely, uniformly lit which demonstrates quite clearly that we're dealing with the excitation of atoms, probably a plasma, resulting in the emission of light. A cloud of condensation from a rocket is only lit by its environment and its source.
Look, this is just ludicrous. Anyone suggesting that these spirals are rocket failures is taking the piss. We all know what rocket failures look like - they are chaotic, random spirals that eventually hit the ground and explode. These spirals are perfect concentric circles that maintain a height, and eventually simply dissipate. We're dealing with some sort of electromagnetic phenomenon here. PS: these spirals are self-illuminating, with uniform illumination, not lit by rocket engines!

@NoDraMuzz Actually, every eyewitness account Ive seen says it only traveled west to east, including Haribolman's YouTube video taken on the Gold Coast, which follows the object as it moves west->east almost to the eastern horizon. Any witnesses that say they then saw it turn southerly would have had to have been in the Pacific ocean! I suspect the "direction change" was merely a mis-quote about location of witnesses (north-south), or someone that doesnt know direction! :-)

@aguantevito Actually most of the ancient civilizations used the stars (and the sun and moon) in their calendars. It's how they knew what time of the year to plant the seeds for their crops etc, and therefore they were a very important aspect of their survival. As for other planets, of course there are others. In fact, science (esp. the Kepler mission) has discovered approx. 500 of them outside our own solar system already, with more being discovered quite regularly.

Many of them used calendars that where not 100% accurate.
How about this, we use the gregorian calendar, that calendar its so off that a DAY has to be added every 4 years, the maya had to adjust they're calendar once every 10.000 years, u see what i mean?
@aguantevito yes, this is true. We use the calendar we do because that's the heritage we come from. For example few ancient calendars run on a 10 month or 30 day-per-month cycle and they fixed the inaccuracy by adding a 5-day "holiday" at the end of the calendar year. The Mayans are well known to have extremely accurate calendars, though this doesn't really prove anything besides the fact that they were excellent at record keeping and calendar-making :-) They don't need "outside help" for that.

Many "predictions" also depend on how we interpret them too - a bit like astrology, they can be looked at different ways, so that different people can say "hey! That's exactly like me!".

Wehere do i start - theres so much misinfo here. SpaceX was never over russia in that period - orbital tracks and charts posted well before the launch prove it was over eastern australia. And that Youtube video (about it not being falcon 9) is totally flawed. It states "Falcon 9 would HAVE to go west to get to Australia" when clearly, on a globe, a rocket could go either way...etc etc

Don't know if some of my responses have shown, but there was an 'EarthQuake' down in South Australia the day after this happened .. and the spiral was seen down there & up in QLD .. do you know how far away they are from each other? About 2,500klms between Gunnedah, Qld ,NSW East coast & Sth Australia!

@NoDraMuzz I know - 5.0 is unusual for Australia - though I'd recommend having a look at a site like Geoscience Australia's earthquake catalog - you might be surprised how frequent they actually are! It's just that Mag5 is on the high end of what we would expect here - but in a global perspective, it's quite small and pretty common. (Im in Brisbane BTW ;-) )

The norway spiral wasnt a rocket it was too neat and the spiral trail was too neat and spun through out the duration, this in normal rocket tests would dissapate and loose momentum quite fast FACT!!

Also, the spirals are SUN illuminated. That's why they're typically seen shortly before dawn, or after sundown.

China - rocket failure at launch (you can SEE the launch tower outline!)
Russia - probably another Bulava test. There's a characteristic "stage separation" right before the spiral.

The whole "malfunctioning rocket" theory has been debunked already. These spirals could be a sign of the end times coming very soon. Look at all the cave drawings and crop circles containing spirals. They are trying to tell us something. The only thing that's debatable at this point is what exactly they are trying to tell us.

i saw a speciel on tv a pilot that flew through somthing simular, said he could see the fabric of time and it spiraled...
i can't describe it but he drew a picture and it was basicly that with clouds, said he went through it or it formed around him & he lost or gained a few hours of time i forget.

This light thing was just another fascinating piece of space junk burning up in the atmosphere... or the "rocket" lost a tail fin which would cause it to spiral as you saw in the videos and pictures. Use some fucking logic and common sense people...please.

@aguantevito Actually most of the ancient civilizations used the stars (and the sun and moon) in their calendars. It's how they knew what time of the year to plant the seeds for their crops etc, and therefore they were a very important aspect of their survival. As for other planets, of course there are others. In fact, science (esp. the Kepler mission) has discovered approx. 500 of them outside our own solar system already, with more being discovered quite regularly.

@ferrett78 sure but not many where aware of the bigger cicles, you said it yourself they did it as a survival issue, to plant when its convinient.
Many of them used calendars that where not 100% accurate.
How about this, we use the gregorian calendar, that calendar its so off that a DAY has to be added every 4 years, the maya had to adjust they're calendar once every 10.000 years, u see what i mean?

@aguantevito yes, this is true. We use the calendar we do because that's the heritage we come from. For example few ancient calendars run on a 10 month or 30 day-per-month cycle and they fixed the inaccuracy by adding a 5-day "holiday" at the end of the calendar year. The Mayans are well known to have extremely accurate calendars, though this doesn't really prove anything besides the fact that they were excellent at record keeping and calendar-making :-) They don't need "outside help" for that.

@aguantevito Yeah, but with so many ancient civilizations to choose from, it's almost certain that at least one of them will describe some aspects of future society accurately completely by chance... Many "predictions" also depend on how we interpret them too - a bit like astrology, they can be looked at different ways, so that different people can say "hey! That's exactly like me!".

And your right, i don't know what a Platonic Year is... but i know what its not... Its not a year when "Aliens" are going to attack us, and it doesn't signify there existence. Wehere do i start - theres so much misinfo here. SpaceX was never over russia in that period - orbital tracks and charts posted well before the launch prove it was over eastern australia. And that Youtube video (about it not being falcon 9) is totally flawed. It states "Falcon 9 would HAVE to go west to get to Australia" when clearly, on a globe, a rocket could go either way...etc etc

This launch was so public that for anyone to try and convince people it was anything different makes me wonder why they're trying so hard to make people believe this nonsense.

Don't know if some of my responses have shown, but there was an 'EarthQuake' down in South Australia the day after this happened .. and the spiral was seen down there & up in QLD .. do you know how far away they are from each other? About 2,500klms between Gunnedah, Qld ,NSW East coast & Sth Australia!

@NoDraMuzz dont forget it was a magnitude 4.5-5 quake... there's around 6200 a year of those - thats 17 a day. So 16 other places in the world can claim "they had an earthquake (that strong) the day after spiral lights in Australia"

@NoDraMuzz I know - 5.0 is unusual for Australia - though I'd recommend having a look at a site like Geoscience Australia's earthquake catalog - you might be surprised how frequent they actually are! It's just that Mag5 is on the high end of what we would expect here - but in a global perspective, it's quite small and pretty common. (Im in Brisbane BTW ;-) )

@NoDraMuzz The earthquake in South Australia was like (at most) 5 on the richter scale... There are 800 quakes (between 5.0 and 5.9) per year in the world. More if you class it as 4.9 (6200 per year, 4.0-4.9). So there's at LEAST 2 earthquakes like this in the world every day.

the falcon 9 rocket was over russia at this time.ask spacex*
was seen as a small orange dot high in the sky.
if u go back and look at "all" the footage ,using times ..and locales u can plot this things course.
it heads inland at one point.
is low in the sky .
changes directions.
too big for a low earth orbit object .(would appear as a small dot)
I wont use the A word .
but definately a unidentified flying object

The norway spiral wasnt a rocket it was too neat and the spiral trail was too neat and spun through out the duration, this in normal rocket tests would dissapate and loose momentum quite fast FACT!!

people are ignorant ^^ they will belive what others will tell them...in this case television.... but they are forgetting the fact that gov's might put pressure on mass media in order to hide the truth.... they dont want us to know and will think of any possibility.... but we can ask why did they suddenly choiced this date... this time & rocket dirrection (australia) why other US states on the rocket patch did not see this ?? maybe they know that thisspiral will happen so they needed a cover up
