OMG, running on asphalt is sooo bad for the horse's legs (even if that horse did have shoes on-which it did). Poor horse. Is that man insane riding that horse on the busy road? One mistake and that horse could take off and run slap into a car or something.

@wildmustang23 Shoes make little to NO difference in the impact on concrete roads.. all they do is stop the horses hoovs getting sore,.. dont you think thats why people only TROT on roads.. even with shoes.. duuhh

That's why stunt horses in the US have shoes and also have rubber protection on their feet. This reduces some but not all of the impact for the horse and prevents the horse from slipping. I feel bad that the horse has to go through this

i sometimes run on the road when my horse has shoes, but not that fast. and i do when my horse doesnt have shoes, but never on a busy road. some people would freak out on me, but i dont realy care. i make sure my horse is okay, and i dont run like a idiot on the road.

thats terrible, that horse must have had such saw legs because he was shod and shod horses get shock waves up their legs which causes severe damage on tar and roads. poor horse is probablt full of splints and bone damage...
well he was galloping at such speed and since Gwalior city where he was running is till under the Gwalior royal family ( Scindias ) even though democracy exists there for 60 years but maybe this is one of the culture bags that the people carry around and hence noone is bothered for the horse running on the main street there ....

To trot a horse on a hard surface like a road has it's risks (slipping etc) But to be cantering or galloping is just not on, the risk of injury is very high due to the stress exerted on its legs(splint's,fracures,coliding with cars) It dos'nt matter if the horse is shod or not. Although the horse looks like it's done this many time's before..How did you feel,when you seen this..A bit shocked I think..
oh yes i was pretty shcoked .. the weather was cool around 15 degrees so i guess the horse could gallop that fast though he shudnt be running like that on a road due the poor animals feet get hurt so much .... and also i think it is illegal to run horses on roads in India too ! may the animal be happy always ...
yh even tho the horse has shoes on its really hard on the horses legs running at that speed horses legs ant like ours and other animals legs they are very fragile.
(other bit sorry)if anything went wrong with its legs then yh it will be off for a while but if it broke a bone in its leg depending on were abouts in the leg it did it then it would have to be put down as its too difficult have surgery on the leg but if it can theres a 50/50 chance it wont bo rite angain ar it wont cum out of surgery and costs loads.xxx
