The first murder is the most difficult... After that...it's..."BLOOD SIMPLE"...
By the way, Jill Henessy looked ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC as Annette Mulcahy, the Police Captain of Detroit's 15th (!) precinct in Andrzej Bartkowiak's "EXIT WOUNDS" (2001). The sexual tension in the scenes between her and Steven
Seagal are definitely worth watching and remembering. But most of all, Jill Henessy never looked better and sexier than she did in that particular kind of film.
This is a brilliant movie. I really hope that it doesn't get ignored because it's very subtle and those movies usually stand no chance on the market, but it's absolutely gorgeous, great performances, Bruce Peninsula's soundtrack is amazing and Stormare finally gets a shot at a lead. He needs more of that, he's incredible as everyone else.
If anyone else asks, the song at the end IS awesome and it's from a collection of Alan Lomax recordings called Rosie off the record Negro Prison Songs.
You are partially correct. The song IS Rosie, but it is actually performed by the band Bruce Peninsula who did the score for the film. Soundtrack to be released soon!
Amazing movie. I read a review that dissed it because it was obvious who the murderer was. That annoyed me.It's not like the the movie was supposed to be a whodunnit: it was a movie about a man's struggle with himself and his impulses. Incredible acting, incredible emotional layers, incredible shots, accurately-Canadian dialogue that didn't verge on stereotype. Loved it.
The beginning song is Shutters by Bruce Peninsula and the ending song is Rosie by Bruce Peninsula

The entire soundtrack is breathtaking and flawless. It really carries the movie and adds to the tension in some scenes. I recommend it to everyone.

Despite her early..."EXIT".

@3ldfilms HA! It's not very often someone gets shot down personally by a production company. Looking forward to the movie and the score!
