Also to add, the world and history is what I would call, reactive...meaning the choice you make today will lead you to a choice tomorrow that would be a different choice had you made a different choice today.

Just because God know the choices you and everybody else are going to make, doesn't mean he makes you make a certain choice. Now you say God lets bad things happen to "innocent" people, as a Christian, the sin of disobedient that adam and eve committed(their choice) effects everybody elses

Here's just my thought and my personal opinion....

I believe that we are all have free will and choose how we want, God does know everything but doesn't interfere with our choices as he let's us choose our fate.

Kinda like how if somebody goes to the physic or palm reader, and the physic supposedly told you wants going to happen...you are still left with a choice to make even though the physic knows the future that your choice you will choose at some time will lead to.

Why are religious zealots so full of hatred to anyone that has intelligence to make up their own mind about what to believe?

I read the bible and believe 2 facts. Humans lie and the bible was written by humans. Religion is nothing more then the organised exploitation of the faithful. Believe what you want to believe in, but do not let any HUMAN tell you what that should be.

My reply to horsefly87. Some atheists are very well informed, and read the Bible cover to cover. No its guys like the one who made the video you are responding too that gives religion a bad name. I am a christian but I don't go around telling people they are no good if they are atheists. My boyfriend is an atheist. Religion works for me, and it doesn't for some. High strung christians like this guy give us a bad name. Good video, but I want to correct your definition of an atheist. An atheist doesn't say there is not a god. A ny atheist is simply someone who does not believe there is a god. To paraphrase Dawkins, I am an agnostic about god to the same extent I am agnostic about fairies. I can never know, but I'm pretty sure the odds are overwhelmingly against.

I agree with you in every way. I personally didn't watch that video, I clicked on it, let it load, and as soon as I pressed play I decided to just close that tab. I knew I would have ended posting some comment maybe causing some dispute or something. I consider my self an atheist, though just as you there is some kind of "agnosticity" in me, because as you say you can never completely confirm or deny the reality of a god.

I give you points for your high road (have to bring motorcycles into it) approach to your reply. To those that understand, no explaination is necessary. To those that do not understand (all due respect) no explaination is possible. I think it's healthy to question religion(s). The deeper I become involved in science ( biology, embryology) the more evidence I see that we are no "happy accident". This is the case with many I know in the scientific community. Your mileage may vary.

I'm respectful of christians and athiests beliefs because honestly I can't prove either wrong. I just see something inherently wrong with someone who is religous and expects others to respect their beliefs but then are closed minded to anything not resembling their version of christianity....and I mean really, when did religous people become so nasty about it? :)

Even the earth is not just one single ecology....there are many places even on the Earth where we could not exist but other forms of life thrive. Down the road "when" we find life on other planets people will have to question religion even more.....who then will be made in god's image?....but then you could also be right :)

Turn the question around: If there is no God then the only things in the world are those you see and can touch. Nothing is special. Nothing is good and nothing is evil. How can there be

good or evil if there is no God. There is just you and nothing more. You should do whatever you want since you have only one short life Take what you want while you live and enjoy.

@KeukaRyder Why do I need a god to be good or evil? An individual chooses to be good or evil no matter their faith. Good or Evil has nothing to do with a "god". MANY, MANY evil deeds have been done by devout believers in god and in the name of god. I choose to be a good person, not because of any god, but because I believe its the right thing to do. If there is no God then what is Evil and what is Good? If they exist independent of God then tell me exactly what they are. Without a God there is no morality and there is nor right or wrong. Just because an act is carried out in the name of god does not make it good. Being good or being evil is not determined by god or religion, it is determined on how you treat other people. @TerrorDBN I haven't watched the offending "Atheists are Ignorant" video but I propose and interpretation of what was meant by ignorant. If I 'feel' God's presence and 'know' he is real and I find other people who also 'know' then that group shares the fact that God is real. If someone doesn't feel it then, to us, you are Ignorant of something that is a basic fact . Moreover, to us, ignorance of God means that someone doesn't know Good or Evil. If i'm wrong, tell me how to know Evil
