this was the famous innings where (when he was in full flow in the second part of his innings) Steve Waugh hand signaled to Glenn McGrath to warm up as he wanted him to replace the 'torn apart' McGill......Glenn McGrath was caught on camera gesturing he didnt want to bowl.......the man was afraid of lara.
@madaboutsleep i let your mummy suck my dick every night. i hate it cause she is ugly but i let her cause she begs me to. an where did she learned to beg like that? she spreads her legs wide an asks to insert the coins in her various holes. it is hard to ignore such beggars.
but what is too much is that now she is not satisfied by just sucking my dick, she insists on undressing my penis and licking the cheese inside. yucks.
@bcl543 check out his 132@australia in perth. australia for some reasons only uded bevan warne steve waugh to bowl. his innings IN SA came when sa were in a transition phase from the donald and poillock era to steyn and morkel era.
look at hom many times he get hit on tjhe head by real paceman or get bowled out in a manner whick will make gillesspie cringe. akhta donald waqar zahid come to my mind.
@ashokatibrewal well i only would agree with, his bat is not straight enough, which would make tendulkar a better driver him. i love tendulkars batting, but u cant deny how great lara is also, especially against spin
One day and test centuries against Aus and Pak in WACA (Perth - the bounciest of all), Brisbane, Double Century in Centurion (SA), another century in Durban, 500* in the seaming wicket in England , 7 centuries in 7 matches in County Cricket in England, Test Centuries in England, should be the testimony for Lara's ability to play pace/swing.
You keep your crappy analysis to yourself..We all have seen how Tendlya has struggled against Pace/bounce/swing in Australia and England
I miss Lara alot. It's painful to watch West Indies cricket now. This is what I have to resort to, watching many of his innings on youtube and I can only hope one day that West Indies shall rise again....
He came in at 20-2, went out at 136-3 with his 100 (16 runs scored by other end and extras), he reached his 50 at 84-2, in his second fifty only 2 runs were scored by other end ... cool ... great innings but he should have stayed more they could have won this test :(
Can someone please post Lara's 100 against Bangladesh, this is one of the top 5 fastest 100s in ODI. He made it in around 40 balls where he opened the innings. plzz plzzz post it if anybody has it..thanks in advance
Lara will always be the greatest. I was 15 when this series took place. It was the greatest series I have ever seen.It finished 2-2. Had lara not got out when he did, we would have won that series. I might be bias, I`m a trini.
you have ur last dollar in ur pocket and u have to pay to see brian lara or sachin tendulkar whom wil u pay to see? i know who i would pay to see... the prince of port of spain
notice that the other batsman only managed to score 10 odd runs while lara reached his Century...What a player he is....Michael Jordan, Peale, Brian Lara
I have been dying to watch this video for a long long time........thanks for posting this.........although i have the videos of 213 and 153 not out which he played before this one.........i will soon post those videos. The videos are in vhs form hopefully i will convert those into the required format for youtube.............
McGrath was the one whom he had some difficulty and if McGrath mentioned (in cricinfo) that he was the best that he has bowled to, then imagine how others would have struggled against McGrath.
on 95 he quickly glanced over to the leg side and next ball, he played that through mid-wicket.. maybe a coincidence, maybe he planned it..
shudder to imagine what more he could have done had he been a part of a great batting line up?
