  • very nice. well done

  • In all honesty the neck on this Pro Jet is heavy and hard to play compared to say my prefered les paul. This also has mini humbuckers and I prefer normal humbuckers, such as seymore duncan sh1 or sh5 (PAF type) this would get you closer to the sound you hear in this video, on which I used Eq and a wha pedal on full.

  • Good lesson! I bought a my sig gretsch and was bitterly disappointed with it. Found it very neck heavy and never settled to it! I'll be looking to try a pro jet after hearing yours thanks!!!

  • Awesome. Haha the wah trick is awesome, I could only tell during the Thunderstruck part

  • do you use 0.12 gauge on thar gretsh?

  • @accadacca75 Slinky top heavy bottom

  • cool lesson, what guitar are u using? is it the g5235?

  • @goldndonkey Grestch pro Jet, standard pickups

  • thanks good lesson

  • Good lesson man. Malcolm's technique is way more important than his gear, IMO.

  • Great video! Thank you for posting some easy to learn lessons on such great songs! BTW, love the Thin Lizzy intro on your ACDC lessons!

  • Dude, you rock! Thank you for posting some easy lessons for such great songs! By the way, I love the Thin Lizzy intro to your ACDC lessons!

  • Guitar strings, just change em regular. generally the more money you pay the longer they last.

Pickups are gretch mini humbuckers. If I had my choice I'd put a seymore duncan sh5 at the bridge to get the sound of Black Shuck by the Darkness. I have to use a wha pedal on all the time to get this sound

  • Does your Gretsch Duo Jet have Filtertrons or TV Jones Powertron pickups?

  • What guitar strings should I use for this type of guitar? I know like a .012-.056 set but what brand or model would be the best?

  • you´ve got such a massive sound... fuckn acdc rocknroll man! GREAT!

  • I like your style! You are a good player!

  • amp? good lesson :)

    5*

  • Fender Blues Junior

  • Great ! But for the Thunderstruck intro, is it not a finger picking section ?

  • No fingerpicking. You can play it with just hammer ons and pull offs all with the left hand and no right hand.

  • @andycrowley Yes, you can play Thunderstruck with just hammer ons and pull offs all with the left hand but as an instructor you're being remiss not to mention that to sound right it needs to be played the way Angus Young plays it, which is to play it with the left and right hand across two strings. I'll leave it to you (the expert) to elaborate.
